Forbes March Forbes March: I'm still on AMC!
Posted Friday, July 7th, 2000 10:11:49 AM

Despite rumors to the contrary, Forbes March insists that he has not been fired from All My Children.

The reports started swirling earlier this year when numerous storyline references talked of March's character's (Scott Chandler) departure from Pine Valley. Scott is --- and has been --- scheduled to head to film school in New York City. March dully notes that Scott has been supposed to be going off to college ever since he took on the role over a year ago.

March has, however, confirmed that he's taking some time off from the rigorous filming schedule to shoot a part in the film Off Broadway. During the movie filming, which starts this month, the executives at ABC granted him what is referred to as a "workload reduction." March will continue to film scenes for All My Children about once per week.

March hints that Scott, perpetually the nice guy, is going to get a bit more of an edge in upcoming weeks.

ABC, as many soap viewers know, does not comment on the status of stars' contracts. A spokesperson declined to comment on the rampant rumors regarding March's departure. She did, however, state that March is still taping scenes with AMC and that everyone in the ABC family is "happy for all his projects."
