Forbes March It's official: March is out

Back and forth. Up and down. First reports said that Forbes March was leaving All My Children. Then, on July 10th the actor fired back that he had no intention of leaving AMC. Two months later, the story has changed: Forbes March is out.

Reports started swirling earlier this year when numerous storyline references talked of March's character's (Scott Chandler) departure from Pine Valley. Scott is --- and has been --- scheduled to head to film school in New York City. March dully notes that Scott has been supposed to be going off to college ever since he took on the role over a year ago.

In July, March claimed that he would be taking some time off from the rigorous AMC filming schedule to shoot a part in the film Off Broadway. March stated that during the filming, which began in July, ABC execs had granted him what is referred to as a "workload reduction." March was expected to continue to film scenes for All My Children about once per week.

This week, however, came word that March is out --- for good this time. Insiders say that the parting was mutual and that March is looking to do more independent film work.

March will have his final airdate in October. There is no word on whether or not the role will be recast.
