Eden Riegel (Bianca) will accept a special Board of Directors Award from the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center on behalf of All My Children. The award will honor AMC's groundbreaking exploration of Bianca's homosexuality.

"All My Children has done something truly remarkable by creating a storyline about a young lesbian and her mother's emotional journey toward total love and acceptance," says the Center's executive director, Gwenn A. Baldwin.

Riegel will accept the award on March 3rd. In addition to the praise by the L.A. Gay and Lesbian center, the storyline has also won high praise from GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. GLAAD named All My Children the Outstanding Daytime Drama. In a rare occurrence, AMC was the only nominee in the category.
