Terri Ivens AMC casts a new SOS helper

by Dan J Kroll

Terri Ivens has been cast as "Simone," a new contract role slated to debut this fall. The role is the creation of new head writer Richard Culliton.

According to an ABC spokesperson, Mateo will hire Simone to work at SOS. Simone is also somehow tied to Edmund, but exactly how has not been revealed. "Details are sketchy, but she will probably be serving up more than just drinks," the spokesperson reveals.

Some fans are likening this new character to that of Tina Harding, who also got a gig helping Mateo at SOS - only to mysteriously vanish.

The 30-year-old Ivens is a newcomer to daytime television, but not to acting. She has appeared in such programs as Life Goes On, Baywatch and Boy Meets World. Ivens also has some silver screen work under her belt, having appeared in Happenstance, In the Heat of Passions and Marked For Death.

Ivens' first airdate as Simone is October 10th.
