Kiberd to tackle five plays this summer

While most performers find it challenging enough to perform in one Shakespearean play, James Kiberd (ex-Trevor Dillon) will appear in five plays - four of them Shakespeare works -- this summer.

Kiberd, who played Trevor Dillon from June 1989 to January 17, 2000, will perform in the Pacific Repertory Theatre's 20th Anniversary Season over the course of the summer. Kiberd debuts on June 8th as Dr. Treves in The Elephant Man.

Kiberd will also play Henry Bolingbroke in Shakespeare's Henry IV, parts 1 and 2 and will also be featured as both the Chorus and Fluellen in Shakespeare's Henry V, and as Launcelot Gobbo, the clown, in The Merchant of Venice.

This is hardly Kiberd's first foray into theatre. Kiberd's run as MacBeth in the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival set attendance records and he has also appeared in Off-Broadway productions of The Winter's Tale, Death of a Salesman, The Seagull, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Male Animal, and many others.
