Michael Lowry Former Jake interested in reprising role

by Dan J Kroll

According to a show insider, Michael Lowry (ex-Jake Martin) approached All My Children executives about returning to the show.

With J. Eddie Peck leaving the show, Lowry sought a chance to return to the role he played from December 1996 to March 2000. Lowry left the show after the writers failed to highlight his character's relationship with the rest of the Martin family, specifically older brother Tad. This is one of the same reasons that Peck cited for wanting to leave the show. (For more in Peck's impending exit, click here.)

Lowry was told that there are no plans to recast the role of Jake.
