Stephanie Gatschet set to take on role of DA's wife

Former Guiding Light star, Stephanie Gatschet, is headed to Pine Valley. The Emmy-nominated actress is taking on the role of the troublemaking wife of Pine Valley's district attorney. In her previous soap role, Gatschet played one half of a fan-favorite couple.

Former Guiding Light star Stephanie Gatschet (ex-Tammy Winslow, GL) will be joining the cast of All My Children later this month. Gatschet has landed the role of Madison North, the "bitchy" wife of Pine Valley's new district attorney - and she's expected to figure prominently into story with several prominent townspeople.

With two-time Emmy winner, Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan Randall, GL), Gatschet was one-half of one of the show's biggest supercouples. The actress earned an Outstanding Younger Actress Emmy nomination in 2007. The actress' agreement to appear on All My Children puts the kibosh on any possible guest-appearance by Gatschet on Guiding Light before the long-running soap airs its final episode in September. Pelphrey, however, recently agreed to return to the CBS soap.

Since leaving Guiding Light, Gatschet has gone on to appear in the misleadingly titled film, Dirty Movie. The film is a series of comedic sketches about the people involved in making so-called" "dirty" movies.

Gatschet debuts as Madison on June 19. The role is recurring.
