A devious doctor was buried alive, a reformed embezzler was accidentally gunned down by someone wanting to kill her gay brother, a lovely princess was killed because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Eva LaRue (ex-Maria Santos) has announced that her wedding plans are once again back on. The former AMC actress is re-engaged to beau Joe Cappuccio. LaRue was formerly married to her AM co-star, John Callahan (ex-Edmund Grey).

Future GH cast member Matt Borlenghi welcomes twin sons
Matt Borlenghi and his wife are the proud parents of newborn twin boys. Borlenghi will appear later this year as Valentin Cassadine, a character who has been talked about repeatedly, but had its debut date pushed back. The actor is known for roles on All My Children and The Bold and the Beautiful.

All My Children is being welcomed to Los Angeles by two of the biggest names in town. No, not Brad and Angelina. LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and City Council President Eric Garcetti dropped by the show's new studio and even taped a few scenes on the show.

All My Children names Kreizman, Swajeski as co-head writers
All My Children's search for a new head writer is over -- the ABC soap has found two of them. Former Guiding Light head writers David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski have been hired to "bring new ideas" to All My Children. The pair won Emmys for their work on Guiding Light in 2007.

James Mitchell, known to millions of viewers as the fiesty Palmer Cortlandt, has died. The actor, who started his career as a dancer and became a Broadway star, passed away in Los Angeles on January 22, 2010. He was 89.

As expected, Alicia Minshew will return from her maternity this spring -- but in a surprise twist, she'll be returning with co-star Thorsten Kaye. Kaye, who previously stated that he would not continue with the ABC soap after its move to Los Angeles, decided to tape some additional scenes once he'd learned that Minshew would be flying to California.
