AMC alum Leven Rambin lands film role

AMC alum Leven Rambin has landed a role in a new gladiator film due out next year. Rambin appeared on All My Children as Lily Montgomery from 2004 to 2008, and briefly as Lily's sister, Ava Benton.

Leven Rambin (ex-Lily Montgomery and ex-Ava Benton) has another post-daytime gig to add to her résumé. The actress has been cast in the film, The Hunger Games.

Rambin will play Glimmer, who had trained all of her life as a "career tribute" for the chance to compete in the hunger games. Glimmer is a combatant representing District 1, who is pitted against District 12's Katniss Everdeen in the battle to the death competition.

Jack Quaid, the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, has also been cast as Marvel.

Rambin studied at the Houston School of Film and Theater, and landed her first professional acting role in 2004 as All My Children's Lily, the autistic daughter of Laurel Banning and the adopted daughter of Jack Montgomery. In 2007, Rambin took on a dual role when it was revealed that Lily had a street-smart, older half-sister, Ava Benton. Levin left All My Children in 2008. During her time at AMC, Rambin received Daytime Emmy nominations in the Younger Leading Actress category in both 2006 and 2007.

Since leaving AMC, Leven appeared in recurring roles on One Tree Hill, Wizards of Waverly Place, CSI: Miami, and Grey's Anatomy and its spinoff, Private Practice. Rambin also was a series regular in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

It will be awhile before Rambin hits the silver screen. The Hunger Games is expected to open in theaters on March 23, 2012.
