Bomb threat evacuates AMC

The stars of All My Children, One Life to Live, and The View were forced into the wintry Manhattan air on Thursday, December 9 after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the ABC studios.

The threat, which was later revealed to be a prank, would be frustrating under any circumstance. This one, though, couldn't have come at a worse time.

The folks at ABC were busy taping the big Crystal Ball episodes when the threat came in. The stars were forced into the streets still wearing their glitzy -- and sometimes skimpy -- ball garb. Low-cut blouses and high hemlines work fine in the comforts of the fictional Wildwind castle, but the cold breezes on West 66th Street had many of the stars shivering.

Taping did resume after the studio was deemed safe by local authorities. No arrests have been made.
