Greenlee is outraged as Ryan defends his actions. When he won't change his mind about allowing kids in "their future" because of who he may turn into, she points out he made his decision based on a nightmare and walks out on him. With Zach offers to let her out of their marriage, Kendall won't hear it as he announces that he is done battling with Ethan. Later, Reggie's not happy to find Kendall with Zach and calls him a "dead man." A nearby Lily points out that he's alive and the two exchange warm greetings which upsets Reggie. The moment gets worse for Reggie when Kendall announces that Zach is actually her husband now. Hearing they had a chat last night, Kendall realizes that it was Lily who set him straight. Later, Reggie urges Kendall to divorce Zach but she decides to stay married as they promised. Simone is quick to realize that Ethan's lying about not being hurt by Kendall marrying Zach. When JR taunts his rival, Ethan can't take it any longer and punches a gloating JR. Hearing Amanda describe her friend in glowing terms and claims that his family and friends think he's a great guy, Di grows suspicious of JR and Amanda's relationship and asks JR point blank how he's using her. She warns Amanda not to do anything that would hurt JR. After Amanda walks out, David pops out of the bushes and boasts to Di about his good news. On her honeymoon with Jack, Erica approaches a stranger who has been watching her in the restaurant but he denies that they've met before.

While Babe was playing with little Adam during her scheduled visitation, she asked Amanda what she thought of Di. Amanda told Babe that Di was a troublemaker and that she kept little Adam to herself. Babe told Amanda that J.R. said that if she would dump Jamie, she could have more time with little Adam. Amanda told Babe that Jamie loved her more than a medical degree. Babe told her that Jamie had not given up on medical school, it was just on hold right now. Just then, J.R. got home and Amanda told Babe to hide. He found Amanda on the terrace and she signaled him that Babe was behind the wall. J.R. then went into a seduction routine that Amanda shunned, all for Babe's benefit. He went inside to get them something to drink and Babe told Amanda that she would not leave her alone with J.R. Amanda convinced Babe that she would be fine, but that she had to go before J.R. returned. After they had a drink, Amanda went in and Tad arrived and wanted to talk to Di.

David clued Diana in on the events in Germany. Di told him to count her out of the fun. She told David that she was ashamed to be part of the scam any longer. He told her that she already had the money he paid her and that it was too late to back out. Di threatened to disappear, but David told her he would find her. She told David that she could go to Tad and J.R. and tell them the truth. David told her that Tad's head was about to explode and that he needed her to be Dixie. David asked Di what the real problem was and she told him she didn't want to break their hearts. She tried to explain to David that J.R. wouldn't understand why "Dixie" would return as someone else. David told her that although J.R. would be angry, ultimately he would be glad she was there. When David reached out to push back Di's hair, he realized that she was burning up with fever. He wanted to know why and she told him to drop it. Reluctantly, she told him that she was still on board with his plan.

Jamie walked into his apartment and Brooke and J.R. were there waiting on him. Jamie ordered J.R. to get out. J.R. told Jamie that sack time with Babe was not worth a medical career. As Jamie was about to pulverize J.R., Brooke stopped him. She told J.R. that what Jamie and Babe did to him was as reprehensible as the payback machine that he had become. She reminded them of how close they were as children and that she hoped that underneath all the hurt that the two brothers still exist. She told Jamie that he was not blameless and told J.R. that his mother would be ashamed of them both. J.R. told Jamie that he wanted nothing more than for Jamie to go to medical school. He told Jamie again that Babe was standing in the way and as long as she was in his life, he would go nowhere. Jamie again ordered J.R. to get out. Before he left, J.R. left a black bag for Jamie. Brooke told Jamie that if she had known what Aunt Phoebe's wishes were, she would have shaken her like castanets. Jamie told Brooke that he had wanted to be a doctor from the time he was eight when Grandpa Joe gave him a toy stethoscope. Brooke told him that together with Tad, they could find a way to make medical school happen. She told him that she had been saving for him to go to college since he was a baby. She also told him that she had some friends too who could get him into college outside Pine Valley. Jamie told her that he couldn't do that because he had to be close to Babe and the baby. Brooke tried to talk some sense into him, but he wouldn't listen. She told him that everyday that he worked as a mechanic, he was taking a day away from his future. He opened the bag that J.R. left and in it was a stethoscope. Babe returned to the apartment and told Jamie that they had to help Amanda get away from J.R.

In a very angry state, Greenlee went to the hospital to confront the doctor who performed Ryan's surgery and accused him of stealing her children. Maria took Greenlee in the other room and offered to help, but Greenlee told her she was in this mess because of her. Greenlee accused Maria of using Ryan as a scapegoat at the banquet. Maria asked Greenlee what was more important, having her husband or having children. Maria told Greenlee that if she could see past the anger she would see that she did not fall in love with Ryan because he could father a child but for so many other reasons. Maria told Greenlee about the conversation she and Ryan had and that he had that surgery because he loved her. Greenlee then went to a secluded area asked Leo for help. She asked him to send someone to help her and David appeared.

Ryan accused Kendall of wrecking his marriage. He told Kendall that she only wanted to crush Greenlee. Kendall told him how Greenlee locked Zach in the pool house and how she kept pushing her. Ryan told her that he hoped she made a better wife than friend. Kendall told Ryan that she wasn't the one who ripped the chance to have his baby away from Greenlee. She told him that if wanted someone to blame, to look in the mirror. Ryan told Kendall that if she would have let him tell Greenlee that he could have made her understand. Kendall asked, "When is a betrayal not a betrayal; when Ryan says so dammit." Ryan told her he had nothing to apologize for and that she was the one who betrayed Greenlee. He told her that she pushed and pushed until he pushed back and that this was him pushing back. Kendall looked straight into his eyes and told him that maybe he was right, maybe he was poison and should never father a child. Ryan, very angry, told Kendall that he was not the good guy anymore. He told her that she did not understand him and she told him that she understood that Greenlee should not go back to him ever. Still blaming Kendall for all his problems, he told her that she had been nothing to him but pain and trouble and that if she goes near Greenlee, he would go after her. Kendall left but as she was on the porch, the mystery lady from the club showed up at Ryan's door. The lady told him that two women showed up at the club and asked about him, but he told her that right now, he didn't give a damn.

Babe is concerned that JR tried to seduce Amanda, who protests that JR is not her type. Jamie points out JR has changed since Amanda left town. Amanda confessed that she was naïve at first, but JR made it clear he wanted her and seemed to hold over her head the tuition he paid on her behalf. Jamie said that JR's family motto is "The end justifies the means." Amanda said, "I am a pro at dealing with the twisted, I've had plenty of experience." Amanda explained to Babe about her mother – that Janet was mentally ill. Amanda said Janet never intentionally set out to hurt her, and her dad would have stopped it if he could have accepted it. Babe & Jamie offer their support and friendship. Jamie offers to take JR apart if he puts a hand on her. Amanda hugs Jamie and says if she needs him, she'll come running, with a mischievous smile on her face.

Tad shows up at the Chandler mansion, wanting information from Di, saying he can't verify some details of her previous employment. Di wanted to put everyone's suspicions to rest, and said to ask her anything. When Tad said he had met somebody in Germany that knows her, Di faints. Tad and JR rush her to the hospital. In a private moment, Tad asks Dr. Joe to run a DNA test on Di – and tells him it's to determine whether or not she's Dixie.

Tad explains his investigation and thinks that Di could be Dixie. Dr. Joe refuses the DNA test, saying he ran one on Bianca's baby and it backfired on everyone. He told Tad to get her consent. Tests showed Di has a kidney infection. Dr. Joe said it could be serious if the patient had one kidney removed. "Do you mean like Dixie?" Tad asks.

Simone and Ethan are on a dinner date at the Valley Inn, and both appear to be having an enjoyable evening. That is, until Kendall walked in. Kendall said Zach was dropping the lawsuit to regain Cambias Industries. She apologizes about the way things ended, and said it was a way out of the pain and confusion for her.

Privately, Simone tells Kendall she will walk away from Ethan. Kendall said it was over, that there was no way he'd forgive her, and gives Simone her blessing. Returning to their table, Ethan and Simone share a flirtatious chat. Simone orders a week's worth of dinners to go, and gives Ethan the bill.

Kendall returns alone to her condo and reminisces about the romantic moments with Ethan. In a brief, but poignant scene, she quietly weeps.

David and Greenlee run into each other unexpectedly at the falls where Leo lost his life. Greenlee is still angry with David for his involvement in the baby switch, feeling he neglected her when she was in trouble because Babe's needs prevailed. David said no matter what happens, they still have two things in common – Leo, and coming to the falls when they want to feel close to Leo. David convinces Greenlee agrees to confide in him, and she tells him about Ryan's life-changing decision. She talks about her wishes for a baby, her plans and dreams. Those dreams are gone, and she feels Ryan betrayed her. David said if there is any chance Ryan might misdirect his anger, maybe it's for the best. Greenlee says Ryan's self-loathing will destroy their marriage.

David says there's a way he can give Greenlee the child she wants. Greenlee misunderstands but is quickly calmed by David's explanation. He said that when Ryan first came to town, and was broke, he made some extra cash by making donations to the local fertility lab. David tells her there is a strong possibility that the clinic still has his frozen sperm.

Ryan goes to Zach's casino, although it has not yet reopened. Zach asks if he wanted to return to the scene of the crime where his brother tried to kill him. "No," Ryan says, "I want to make a killing of my own." Zach's money is his target, and Ryan wants to play blackjack. Zach points out that Ryan has had a losing streak lately. Zach said it's tough when you can't turn to family when you need them, and it's too late for your brothers to pitch in, and offered to play a couple of hands in their memory. Ryan says, "Do you want to commemorate your dead brother too, your father, and Ethan – he's pretty much dead to you too, isn't he?" Ryan says when Zach married the woman his son loved, it was like handing Ethan a rifle and painting a target on his head. Zach says, "That reminds me, I've got something for your family album," and produces security DVD taken before Jonathan apparently took the shot at Ryan. Ryan destroys DVD player in fit of rage. "I take it you don't want the disc," Zach says.

Zach and Ryan begin to establish some common ground. He tells Ryan, "It's something to learn that the brother you loved and looked out for and protected your whole life betrayed everything you believed in." Zach continued his advice, saying some men can't be fathers. "I learned something else -- you can't wish away the fears and the sins of the family because they became a part of who you are now – part of your blood, part of your bones, a part of your DNA. Eventually, they're going to rise up to the top and you're going to infect everything you touch and everything you love." Ryan asks what if you take action, if you fight, can you control your own fate? Zach tells him, "I think the way to protect the people you care about is to put a big wall, cut your self off. No one gets in; no one gets hurt."

At their apartment, Babe and Jamie talk about how hard times are financially. They have but a minute to wallow in self-pity before they hear a knock at the door. They weren't expecting company, so they are perplexed at who might be on the other side. Babe runs to the door and is pleased when she sees that Amanda has come to visit. Her excitement shoots out of the stratosphere when she sees that Amanda is accompanied by Little Adam. While Babe is ecstatic that she gets some illicit time with her son, Jamie immediately worries that Babe will lose her rights. Amanda fills them in about Di being at the hospital, and JR being there to see to her care. She also tells them that while JR left Little Adam with Winifred, she offered to take him to the park and decided to stop by on the way. She lays on the compliments by saying that having JR as the center of his son's world is a bad thing, and that Little Adam needed a positive role model. Both she and Babe heartily agree that Jamie is exactly what Little Adam needs. Soaking it up, Jamie finally relaxes a little and grabs the little boy he calls "son" in a loving embrace. Jamie and Little Adam quickly settle down on the floor to play, and Babe thanks Amanda effusively for visiting. Amanda insists that it was no big deal and that she was only doing what she knew to be right. Her feelings are confirmed when she witnesses the joy on their faces. Moments later, Babe's look turns to one of frustrated sadness. Amanda asks if she had come over at a bad time. Babe tells her that her timing was fine - but that today is the day that she planned to visit her mother in prison. Amanda tries to apologize for making her choose between her mother and her son, but Babe won't have any of that. She says goodbye to her boys, thanks her new BFF one more time, and takes off.

After playing with Little Adam for a while, Amanda asks how Jamie makes it through each day without seeing his son. Jamie admits that if it weren't for Babe, he probably would have gone out of his mind a long time ago. He tells her that he can handle just about anything as long as he and Babe stick together. Amanda takes this opening to find out just what kinds of things could still push him over the edge. Initially cryptic, Jamie says that Amanda could accomplish that feat. When she asks for details, he tells her that he's been putting up with the torture JR has been dishing out and it really isn't a big deal to him anymore, but it trips his trigger when JR goes after women. Amanda insists that she can handle JR, but Jamie tells her that he has heard that line far too many times. Amanda tells him that she hates how JR has him all worked up, and that he should be living a much better life, saving lives instead of bike parts. Jamie, content with his station in life, tells her it could be worse. Just then, a light bulb appears over her head, and Amanda asks if Jamie would take her up on an offer that would give him what he wanted and give JR what he deserved. Jamie tells her he is definitely interested. Amanda thinks her plan is foolproof, so Jamie asks what he has to do. She tells him to break up with Babe and go out with her.

At the hospital, JR comes out of the elevator and sees David with his cleaning cart. They engage in a brief verbal altercation before JR blows his ex father-in-law off. He spots Anita entering the area, and asks her how Diana is faring. David, always one for listening in, shows more concern than JR likes by asking why she had been admitted. Glaring, he asks David how he knows the nanny and why he cares about her. David heads him off at the pass by saying that he is concerned for Little Adam's health. Anita quickly assures him that Di isn't suffering from anything contagious, but refuses to divulge anymore information. JR then intervenes and tells David to leave them alone. Anita updates JR and then directs him to Di's room. JR leaves and Anita goes behind the counter. David tries to sneak a peek at Di's chart but to no avail. Anita tells David that if he gets Di's permission, she will tell him anything he wants to know. A short time later, David finds an unattended cart in the hall with medical charts on it. He finds one for Di, and quickly reads the notes, shocked at what he sees.

In her room, Diana lies sleeping as Tad enters. He calls her Dixie, and her eyes flutter open. As consciousness dawns on her, she sounds agitated as she asks exactly where she is, how she got there and where her boss is. Tad calmly offers answers to her questions, and then, while continuing to call her Dixie, tells her that everyone is worried about her. She insists that she will be fine, but is irritated by the use of his dead wife's name. In true PI style, Tad slowly tries to chip away at her perceived deception, revealing that he knows about her infection and the fact that she has one kidney. She tells him that she should be called by her name - but Tad assures her that Diana Cole is not who she really is. She briefly tries to blow him off, but Tad is not so easily discouraged. He fills her in on what he had planned to say before she passed out - that he found the real Diana Cole in Germany, and ascertained that she was the one that worked in Philadelphia as a nanny for 15 years. The question now, Tad says, is why the woman in front of him used Diana Cole's information to get the job she has, and who she really is. Di tells him that she isn't sure where to start, so Tad takes over and asks her an endless string of questions (related to the searching that he has been doing over the past couple of weeks) that could all be summed up with "Are you Dixie?" His quandary is that if she is Dixie, his heart is screaming out to grab hold of her and never let her go...but his head doesn't want to believe it. Rationally, he wouldn't be able to understand why, if she was Dixie, she would sneak back into their lives and let them believe she was still dead. Di silently sheds tears while Tad continues to badger her. Just as he leans over the bed to show how serious and intense he is, JR bursts into the room, pulls Tad back and demands to know what he really wants from Di. In the middle of his rant, Di tells JR that she is simply trying to ease Tad's mind. JR turns then, and eyes still flashing with anger, demands to know what is going on between her and Tad. Tad asks if she wants to be the one to tell JR, or if she wants him to do it. Di remains silent so Tad prepares to step up. However, before he can get a word out, Di finally finds her voice and tells JR that what Tad is doing is out of love for him, and for Dixie. JR doesn't get it, especially since he believes Tad stopped loving him a long time ago. Di refutes that, saying that Tad wouldn't be there if he didn't care. She then says that Tad may very well be questioning her because he wants to make sure JR doesn't get hurt, and follows by saying there are some things Tad doesn't know. The basis is that they (Tad and Di) are both headed for the same goal but have different methods. She asks to be alone with JR, but before either man can make a move, Anita comes in to take some blood for lab work. Before leaving, Tad tells JR that he really does care, but JR is unmoved. Tad looks upon his son one more time and then leaves the room. Anita finishes some preliminary things, and then asks Di to wrap up her visit with JR so that she can do some additional testing in private. When Anita leaves, JR apologizes for being so harsh, and admits that he already misses having her around the house, as does his son. Di is heartened to hear his words. Despite his heartfelt admission, JR insists on knowing what is really going on with her and Tad. Di tells him that she believes Tad is worried. Initially, JR wants to know why, as he can't seem to think of any good reason to be worried. Then, he looks at Di's face and asks whether Tad is falling for her. She tries to protest, but JR refuses to let the idea go. He can tell there is something she is keeping from him and demands to know if she and Tad have a past. After a moment, Diana admits that they did know each other before she moved into the Chandler mansion. Upon hearing that, JR immediately assumes that Di was a plant and he fell straight into their trap. Di quickly corrects JR, saying that he doesn't have to believe her, but she was never Tad's spy. She just knew from the moment that she walked into the Chandler house that she belonged there. She tells JR that any connection that she and Tad had was strictly in the past. JR responds by telling her that he needs to be informed of any and all connections that she had to Tad, regardless of when they took place. Di agrees, but she asks him not to push, saying that he will know everything in time. Anita comes in again at that moment and tells JR that he needs to go so that she can do her tests and Di can rest. JR relents and goes to leave the room, solidifying her promise to fill him in later.

At Wildwind, Maria chases after Maddie, trying to find out who she'd been talking to online. In typical teenage style, Maddie rudely informs her mother that she has a right to a private life, safe from the eyes of her mother. She storms off indignantly and leaves Maria utterly confused. Just then, Sam comes into the living room and suggests that she pack Maddie up and ship her off to California, while leaving him behind. Maria counters by saying that they won't be moving unless it's as an entire family, and Sam responds that they had better get used to life in Pine Valley because he refuses to leave. Abandoning that fight for the moment, she asks her son if he knows who Maddie was talking to online. In return, she gets nothing but smart remarks and so she leaves the living room to head back upstairs for round 2. The doorbell rings, and Sam goes to answer it. His sour expression turns sunny when he finds Lily on the other side. After Sam delivers a welcome home kiss that Lily asks for, he lets her in and they go to the living room to talk. In her unique way, she describes the trip down to Florida, the wedding and everything after. She wraps up her tale by saying that Zach is no longer a bad man, and Sam's expression immediately darkens. He asks for more details, his mood worsening with every passing moment. Maria descends the stairs and overhears the conversation. When she enters the living room, Sam explodes and asks her when Zach will stop messing with their life. Angry, he runs out of the room so as not to upset Lily anymore, and leaves her with his mom, looking puzzled. Maria asks if Lily is okay, and Lily tells her she believes she just lost another boyfriend. She is distressed because she is blaming herself for making Sam mad. Maria gently tries to explain to her that it isn't her fault - rather, Sam is just hurting inside over things that have to do with Zach, not her. Lily then relates that Sam told her that every word out of Zach's mouth is a lie, and that she can't believe that is true. She goes on to tell Maria that her father said that family can be trusted not to lie to you. Amused, Maria tells her that while Jack is right, Zach isn't part of her family. Lily corrects her and informs Maria that since Jack married Erica, Kendall is her new sister...and since Kendall married Zach, he is her new brother-in-law. Seeing Maria's downcast face, Lily starts to apologize again, thinking that she made Maria mad by telling her the new developments in her family. Maria quickly dismisses her need to apologize, simply saying that she is surprised, not angry. Maddie descends the same stairs her mother did a short time before, and hears Lily tells her mother that she thought everyone would be happy that Zach wouldn't a bad man and hurt their family anymore. Maria notes that while Zach's admission was a good thing, she felt he was being too hard on himself. She tells Lily that everyone makes mistakes, but that Zach was never truly bad. Lily tells Maria that she must know Zach better than anyone, and Maria agrees. To the distress of her daughter, Maria announces that Zach is a very good person.

At the jail, Babe and Krystal catch up, with Babe telling stories about her son. In the middle of their talk, Babe spaces out until her momma calls her attention back to the present. She asks her daughter what's going on, and Babe tells her that she was thinking about Jamie, and how she hadn't seen the kind of joy that Little Adam puts on his face in a long while. Krystal notes that it only makes sense that Jamie is happy when he's with his family, but Babe admits to having lingering guilt that he chose her over the money. Krystal tells her that she wouldn't want to be with Jamie if he had placed the importance of money over the importance of love. Babe agrees, but she is still upset that she is keeping him from his dream. Krystal reminds Babe that she is the dream that matters, and that she needs to focus on keeping him happy. Negative thinking will take a toll on their relationship, and neither of them wants that. Then, they switch topics and talk some about Di. Babe is forced to admit that Di isn't as bad as she once thought, and that she does take good care of her son. Krystal is grateful that her grandson finally seems to have some stability. Shifting gears again, Krystal asks what Amanda is like. Babe breaks out into a smile and immediately begins extolling Amanda's virtues. She further expresses gratitude for the risk Amanda took in bringing her son over, and says that with him there, she felt like she had a real family again. Krystal strongly reminds her that even though they don't get equal amounts of time with Little Adam, the three of them (Jamie, Babe and Little Adam) will always have a bond that JR can't break. Babe admits that her momma is right, and follows by saying that she truly is grateful and believes Amanda would do just about anything for her and Jamie. Babe also loves that Amanda can fill her in on all of the things that she misses by not living at the Chandler estate. Finally, Babe breaks out the pictures of her son, much to Krystal's delight.

Outside of Di's room, Anita leaves her cart that holds, among other things, several vials of blood. While Anita is ensconced in a patient's room, Tad approaches the cart, finds Di's vial and plans to make off with it. His father witnessed the theft and stops him before he gets too far. Tad tells Joe that he needs to find a way to either confirm or deny his suspicions about Di, but Joe refuses to let him do so dishonestly. He asks his son if he ever thought of just asking her directly, and Tad admits that he did but that she didn't give him an answer. Joe then asks if JR is aware of Tad's thoughts, and Tad tells him that he refuses to involve JR until he is absolutely sure. Joe advises him that his best bet is to get Diana's permission and go from there. Tad acquiesces, and then muses aloud about how the thought that Dixie may be alive should make this the happiest day of his life and yet...he's miserable. Joe knows why his son feels that way - because if Dixie is alive, what are her reasons for passing herself off as someone else? Tad says that for as torn up as he is, if Dixie really is alive, JR would be destroyed. They take a walk down the hall and Joe advises Tad to tell JR what is going on. Tad admits that he isn't certain how to do that, but Joe knows his son will think of a way. He stresses the importance because an imposter should not be taking care of JR's son. Tad reminds him that it could be Dixie, and Joe thinks on that for a moment. He then says that if Di really is Dixie, they need to ascertain why she has been hiding her true identity, and then be grateful for the miracle she is. Before they can debate the issue any further, Sam comes tearing around the corner and into their midst. He declares that he is never going back to Wildwind and insists that he be allowed to live with Tad.

Shortly thereafter, Joe and Tad walk with Sam out into the main reception area. Joe tries to reason with Sam but to no avail. Sam turns to Tad and asks him one final time if he can move in with him. Tad reminds him that they talked about it before and how it wasn't a solution to his problems. Sam starts to take off, determined to strike out on his own but Joe tries to stop him. Knowing that Joe doesn't want him either, Sam politely declines any requests to talk things out further and leaves, with Joe right on his heels. Tad isn't alone for long though, as JR emerges from a side door and makes a beeline for his former stepfather. He demands to know the secret that Tad shares with Diana, and Tad agrees that it's about time he was let in. He finally admits to JR that he thinks Di might be Dixie.

After everyone has gone, Di is able to rest for a while before being disturbed again. She feels someone staring at her, and her eyes flutter open. She sees David standing at her bedside. He asks her what he'd done by involving her in his plans. He thought he was playing Tad, but now he believes he might have been the one being played. He then asks if she's really Dixie.

Amanda tells Jamie that he would not have to break up with Babe to be with her. They would only pretend to be together around JR and that way, Jamie could get his hands on Phoebe's money and pursue his medical career, she says. Jamie does not believe her story and accuses her of being on JR's side. Jamie tells her that he won't risk losing Babe to get the money. Amanda says that once Babe hears the plan, she won't mind because it will help him. Jamie tells her not to mention anything to Babe because she will agree with her, then tells her to leave. Amanda walks out with Little Adam and heads back to the Chandler mansion.

Babe updates Krystal at the jail about Little Adam and even says that she is not so threatened by the nanny anymore. She tells her that with Di's help, she may be able to get her visitation hours extended. Krystal is thrilled to hear that and asks if she has any pictures of the nanny. Babe looks through her stack of photos and is about to show her mother one of Di and Little Adam until one of the guards passes by and makes a remark about Tad not coming to visit her lately. Babe forgets about the picture and starts asking about Tad. Krystal tells her that Tad has not visited her since her accident in the prison, but she does not mind. Babe tries to convince her mother that Tad still cares about her and tells her about Dixie possibly being alive. Krystal seems happy for Tad because she knows that Dixie was the love of his life. Babe complains that its not fair for her mother because she can't fight for Tad, but Krystal does not want to. Babe says her good-byes and leaves the pictures with Krystal.

Di tells David that he is being crazy because he is the one who put her up to the entire Dixie scam. David says that the scam was before he actually thought that she may be Dixie. When he asks Di again who she really is, Di avoids the question and tells him that her family has kidney problems, although she is not exactly sure what they are. David tells her that her answer is pretty vague. Di says that if she were Dixie, would she really lie about it to her family and the people who love her? Di tells David that she likes pretending to be Dixie and she will hang on it to as long as she can. When David asks her about the sudden change of heart, Di explains that a few days ago, she was worried about hurting JR and Tad, but now she knows she is not going to do that. David finally believes that she is not Dixie, but admits that he heard about her kidney, he was not sure what to think. Di tells him that Tad has been questioning her about being Dixie and asks David what she should say. David says he knows exactly what to do.

JR is stunned by Tad's idea that Di could be his mother and his hatred for Tad grows deeper. Tad tells JR that he has been trying to question Di about who she is because there are many similarities between her and Dixie, from the way she talks to the way she drinks her tea. When JR tries to get past Tad, Tad holds him back and JR finally asks how he came to his conclusion. Tad brings JR up to date about everything he knows, from Dixie not being found in the car to the Jane Doe's facial surgery, not to mention Di is also missing a kidney, same as Dixie. Tad shows JR a picture of the real Diana Cole and when JR brings up going to the cops, Tad prefers to avoid it until everything is figured out. JR still refuses to believe Tad and tells him all of this is just his overactive imagination. Tad admits that at first, he thought it was a bit odd, but something inside of his gut is telling him Di could be Dixie. Tad tells JR that they have to confront Di together and ask her to take a DNA test. JR disagrees, claiming DNA tests can be fixed, but Tad ensures this test would be professionally handled. JR accuses Tad of using his mother's death to get revenge on him. Tad says that he would never use Dixie's death like that and that he would not be telling JR all these things, unless he thought they were true. JR tells Tad to leave him and Di alone then goes home where he finds Amanda. He snaps at Amanda for taking Little Adam over to Babe and Jamie's. She tells him that she can use the baby in her scheme and if JR won't let her, he is limiting her options. JR tells her never to use his son again in her plot and that he won't let her freeload off him without some results.

Tad sneaks into Di's room while she is getting more tests done. He goes through her purse to look for DNA evidence, but comes up empty. Instead, he puts a make-up compact in a plastic bag to test for fingerprints, then leaves.

David goes to see Krystal at her request. She gives him the pictures to look through and briefly asks him about the nanny. David tells her he has never met the nanny, but is sure she doing a great job. Krystal tells him about the chance that Dixie may be alive and David says, "Wow." When he gets to the picture of the baby and Di, he drops the pictures on the floor. When he reaches down to pick them up, he stuffs that picture in his shirt sleeve, then hands the rest back to Krystal. Krystal asks David if he is going to track Dixie down like Tad, but David tells her no, Dixie is Tad's problem and he would rather stick with Krystal.

Greenlee comes home and tells Ryan that she wants to figure out what happened to their marriage overnight. When she tells him that she is not sure if she can stay at that house anymore or if their marriage can even survive Ryan's betrayal, Ryan apologizes for hurting her, but still claims he made the right decision. When Greenlee asks him if he has any regrets about the surgery, Ryan tells her not to bring that up. Greenlee says that she is not sure if she can get past Ryan's dishonesty and making such a huge choice without even talking to her about it. Greenlee tells Ryan that a child could have saved him because he would make a great dad. Greenlee asks Ryan if what he is trying to say is that its acceptable to lie as long as it saves them. Ryan says that is exactly what he has been trying to tell her. If that's true, then why not be honest, she asks him. Ryan says that if you tell the truth, the other person might not think that the decision was right in the end. Ryan tells Greenlee that he heard about her ranting at his doctor, but she should not blame him because he told the doctor that she agreed to the surgery. Stunned by another lie, Greenlee tells Ryan she is not sure if she can get past everything that has happened. However, she tells him that it might help her if she talks to a doctor too. Ryan agrees and Greenlee runs off to talk to a doctor. She goes to the fertility clinic and tells them that she wants Ryan's sperm.
