JR believed the worst of Babe. Tad and Di caught each other snooping in Greg's office. Simone accepted Ethan's proposal. Kendall and Zach agreed to keep their relationship secret. Josh arranged for Erica to be stranded at a warehouse. Babe gave JR proof that she had been drugged. Kendall told JR she was in love with Zach. Greg gave Tad a plausible reason for having a dossier on the Martin family. Babe and Bianca talked. Josh turned the tables on Amanda. Greg realized that Josh was out to destroy Erica. Tad and Di had it out. Erica remembered something involving Greg. Babe and JR wound up in a passionate kiss. Di was attacked.

Kendall told Ryan about the change in her relationship with Zach. Adam was jealous when he saw Krystal with Tad. Jonathan dove into the water to rescue Di. Erica recalled how she knew Greg. Erica was upset about Kendall's relationship with Zach and blamed Bianca. Janet tried to convince Jonathan that he pushed Di into the lake. Zach comforted Kendall when she feared she was losing the baby. Greg had good news for Kendall and Ryan. Julia would not commit to another date with David. Kendall realized what Zach was up to. Ethan had an offer for Ryan. Ethan gave Simone an engagement ring. Lily and Jonathan discussed sex and marriage in their life skills class. Janet continued to set up Jonathan as a scapegoat. Kendall offered to release Ryan from his promise. Ryan thought Kendall was making a mistake with Zach. Babe had a surprising question for JR.
January 16 to 20, 2006
Kendall let Ryan know she disliked Julia. Zach and Kendall were happy to be together. Tad admitted he had feelings for Di although he couldn't forgive her. Zach was not pleased to learn that Ryan was back at Cambias Enterprises. Janet's kidnapping spree continued. Julia feared Zach could be a threat to Ryan. Kendall was surprised to find Julia at her door. Julia begged Kendall not to make things any worse between Ryan and Zach. Kendall believed Julia was falling for Ryan. Zach realized that Ethan still had resentment toward him. Ryan told Kendall he wanted his legal rights to his child reinstated. Julia offered to help Zach deal with Ryan. Julia asked David to stay with her. Jonathan was unsettled. Tad accused Amanda of having sinister intentions. Tad, Jamie, and JR suspected the worst of Jonathan after Janet did her dirty work. Babe had a change of heart toward JR.
January 23 to 27, 2006
Ethan and Simone distracted Zach to keep him from catching Ryan. Zach found proof that Ryan broke into his office. Erica and Kendall called a tentative truce. Ryan, Ethan, and Simone learned that the schematic they found in Zach's office was the PV power grid. Ryan believed Zach was involved in the power outage. Kendall accepted Zach's proposal. Kendall stopped Zach and Erica from bickering. Erica made the announcement for her Mardi Gras gala. Amanda left Janet locked in the warehouse. Ryan kept his suspicions about Zach to himself. JR gave Dixie's star necklace to Babe as a token of his love. Kendall signed the papers giving Ryan parental rights to their child. Kendall asked Zach if he was keeping secrets. Ryan, Tad, and Di worked together to find the truth about Zach. Kendall believed she and Zach had a chance for true happiness. Erica's behavior worried Kendall and Zach.
January 30 to February 3, 2006
Kendall was horrified to see Erica stab Zach. Josh promised a tabloid reporter an exclusive. Jamie pretended to believe Amanda's excuse for being at the warehouse. Erica told Jack she was protecting herself from Michael Cambias. Jonathan suggested that Erica had been drugged. Zach dreamt of being trapped in hell with his father and Michael. Ryan learned that Kendall was aware of his suspicions about the blackout. Zach wondered what was bothering Kendall. Kendall and Zach attended Erica's arraignment. Zach defended Erica to the District Attorney. Jack and Erica got proof that Erica had been drugged when she stabbed Zach. Kendall wanted to marry Zach as soon as possible. Amanda denied drugging Erica. Ryan planned to expose Zach at the gala. Kendall did not tell Zach what crimes Ryan had accused him of. Di had a warning for Ryan.

FEBRUARY 2006
February 6 to 10, 2006
Ryan and Ethan set their plan in motion to expose Zach. Erica's Mardi Gras Gala began. Babe was determined to have her revenge. Ryan tried to convince Kendall that Zach had caused the blackout. Zach arrived just as Ryan was telling Kendall the truth. Janet cornered Erica in a private room at the Gala. Zach admitted causing the blackout and explained why he had done so to Kendall. Kendall ran away from Zach. Ryan told Julia he had only wanted Kendall to know the truth. JR reached a decision about Babe. Kendall wanted nothing to do with Ryan. Zach refused to give up on Kendall. Amanda was cleared when Erica learned about Josh's misdeeds. Kendall refused to forgive Zach or Ryan. Kendall accused Ethan of being out for revenge. Tad convinced Erica that his preposterous theory about Greg was true.
February 13 to 17, 2006
A massive explosion rocked Erica's Mardi Gras ball. Josh tried to do damage control with Erica. Dixie watched as Tad kissed Di. Kendall caused problems for JR and Babe. Tad and Julia feared another explosion could occur. Amanda evaded Jamie's questions about her warning. Janet overheard Amanda's denial. Kendall and Ryan were thrilled to feel the baby move. Ryan comforted Kendall when she broke down over losing Zach. Kendall pointed out that Ryan was not infallible. Josh held Erica's life in his hands. Dixie feared Tad would find her. JR was desperate to find Babe. Erica made a startling accusation against Greg. Zach apologized to Ethan as Ethan lay dying. Di met face-to-face with Dixie. Ryan promised Kendall she would not have to face her future alone.

Dixie confronted Di. Janet convinced Babe to go with her. Ethan died in the OR. Dixie overheard Tad talking about his feelings for her with Di. Janet blamed Babe for all of Amanda's problems. Erica and Greg worried that Josh knew the truth about his parentage. Janet locked Babe and Little Adam in the bedroom. Adam and JR believed that Babe had kidnapped Little Adam. Kendall reached out to Zach. Dixie went to David's cabin. Kendall challenged Zach to make things right between them. Babe tried to convince Janet to go along with her plan.
February 27 to March 3, 2006
Ryan agreed to move in with Kendall. Kendall ran into Dixie at Ethan's gravesite. Kendall and JR commiserated over their respective betrayals. Babe tried to loosen the boards covering the windows. Jamie was unable to convince JR that Janet had kidnapped Babe and Little Adam. Jamie struggled with Janet. David unwittingly allowed Janet to escape. Janet caught Babe as she tried to escape. JR kidnapped Krystal. Babe tried to make a deal with Janet. Tad and Adam realized JR had kidnapped Krystal. Kendall was furious when Zach did not attend Ethan's funeral. Babe tried to convince Janet to return Little Adam to JR and was stunned when she found a frozen body in the freezer. Dixie was accidentally shot when JR threatened to kill Krystal.

MARCH 2006
March 6 to 10, 2006
When Babe discovered Trevor's body in the freezer, Janet told her about the night he ended up "on ice." Evidently Trevor tried to have Janet committed so Janet picked up a golf club and beat him to death before putting him in the freezer. As everyone closed in on Trevor's fishing cabin, Janet hit Babe from behind and prepared to put her into the freezer with Trevor before disappearing with Little Adam, whom she planned to raise as her own son. Babe and Little Adam were rescued in the nick of time and Janet was taken into custody. Kendall had an alarming dream, which led her to believe Zach was contemplating suicide. Dixie was accidentally shot and turned to Zach for help.
March 13 to 17, 2006
David questioned Janet, Del, and Di about Dixie in the hopes of getting information to prove that she was alive. JR turned over a new leaf. He let go of his deep-rooted anger by forgiving everyone he felt had wronged him, including Jamie, Tad, Krystal, and Di. He then asked forgiveness for all the things he had done to them. After he made amends with those close to him, JR proposed to Babe. She happily accepted. Jonathan surprised Lily with the news that he got the job as an orderly at the hospital. Erica continued to try to push Greg out of Kendall's life and enlisted Ryan's help. Ryan and Kendall kissed and almost made love. Zach nursed Dixie through the infection that resulted from the gunshot. Tad and Di made love. Dixie told Di that she had decided to leave town. Kendall panicked on the rooftop of Fusion but Zach found her before things escalated.
March 20 to 24, 2006
Dixie paid a farewell visit to Little Adam disguised as a doctor. Tad assured Di that everything would work out. Zach rescued Kendall from the rooftop. Jamie agreed to be JR's best man. Palmer insisted on Joe reinstating David at the hospital. JR warned David not to cause any trouble. David watched security tapes to try to spot Dixie. Zach immobilized David. Adam and Krystal wanted to renew their vows at JR and Babe's wedding. Di and Del agreed to help Dixie. JR and Babe wed, and Adam and Krystal exchanged vows. Greg introduced Kendall to a couple who wished to adopt. David delivered an ultimatum to Dixie. Opal accused Di of keeping a secret. Ryan urged Kendall to find a different doctor.
March 27 to 31, 2006
Babe and JR married while Krystal and Adam renewed their wedding vows. The results were disastrous when Babe returned to Fusion with Amanda as her assistant. Tad proposed to Di, who happily accepted. Ryan and Julia decided to dig into Greg Madden's patient history when they discovered that he lied to Julia about not being able to have children. Greg suffered another episode after Erica gave him tea that she tainted with an untraceable poison. Janet told JR that Dixie was alive. Dixie paid Greg a visit and demanded answers. Greg was less than forthcoming and threatened to expose Dixie if she pursued her line of questioning. Zach pleaded with Dixie to trust him with her secret about Greg, explaining that he needed to know because Greg was treating Kendall. Ryan decided that he wanted to raise his son regardless whether or not Kendall wanted to have a role in their child's life. Joe shocked Tad when he told him that Jeff Martin was on his way back to Pine Valley.

APRIL 2006
April 3 to 7, 2006
After subtle pressure from Greg and a couple of encounters with Babe and little Adam, Kendall decided to go to Greg's room to tell him that she had made up her mind to give her son up for adoption. Greg's pleasure was carefully hidden as he pushed Kendall to sign legal papers to start the process. During a New Beginnings interview, Greg collapsed after drinking water that Erica tainted with more poison. Tad proposed to Di again, presenting her with an engagement ring, but Di turned down the proposal. Jack tracked Lily to the tree house where she was spending time with Jonathan. Dixie was shocked when she saw Greg collapse on television. When she spoke aloud her concern that she would never find out where her daughter was if Greg died, Zach was standing next to her. He was shocked at the revelation. Tad told Erica that Joe called his brother, Jeff. Erica was not pleased to learn that Jeff was leaving Kenya and was expected to arrive in Pine Valley any day.
April 10 to 14, 2006
Ryan's suspicions were confirmed when Erica confessed to poisoning Greg. He was horrified as she told him about going to Greg for an abortion and learning years later that he implanted the embryo in his wife. He was stunned to learn that Greg's wife gave birth to Josh, Erica's son. Zach threatened Greg Madden after he learned that Greg took Dixie's daughter and gave her to a couple who adopted Katie. Kendall was furious when Ryan handed her papers declaring his intention to seek custody of their unborn child. She enlisted Jack's help to fight Ryan, but under the condition she first take the time to think things through. He didn't want her to give her son up for adoption. Babe and Krystal were surprised when their husbands started talking about babies. Lily regressed after Jack threatened to criminally charge Jonathan if Lily didn't stop seeing him. Jack blamed Jonathan for Lily's uncommunicative state. David asked Dixie to give their relationship another chance, but before she could answer him, Tad walked in and saw Dixie for the first time.
April 17 to 21, 2006
Kendall was overwhelmed with the pressure from everyone around her and turned to Greg for help. Ryan, Zach, and Erica were frantic when they realized that Kendall had slipped out of town and not left word on how she could be reached. Tad was devastated when he came face-to-face with Dixie. Feeling betrayed, he went to see Di and broke off his relationship with her. Dixie went to Adam's to talk to JR and learned that he had taken Babe to the South of France for a romantic getaway. Adam offered Dixie millions to leave town and stay dead but she refused. Later, he went to her hotel room and threatened her with a gun. When Tad realized where Adam was headed, he followed him but was too late. Adam had already rendered Dixie unconscious and put her in a crate with the intention to ship her off. JR and Babe returned from France and mistook the crate for theirs. JR began to open it. Amanda decided to help Lily and Jonathan spend some time together. Jonathan had a surprise for Lily: he gave her bus tickets to Boston on her birthday. They intended to run away together and start a new life in Boston.
April 24 to 28, 2006
Kendall went to Greg's spa, which was located on a tropical island. She was surprised to find that all of the guests were pregnant and at least one was planning on giving her baby up for adoption. Zach found her on the island and spirited her away. He showed no remorse for taking her away and confessed that he loved her. Erica was very close to telling Josh that she was his biological mother but was interrupted by Ryan, who announced that Kendall had called. Greg was relieved. He feared Erica would tell Josh before he could stop her. JR began to spiral out of control after coming face-to-face with Dixie. He was devastated to learn that she had several opportunities to tell them that she was alive and she chose not to. He began to drink. Dixie tried to talk to him but his anger made it impossible. Later, Dixie went to see Greg. She demanded to know where her daughter was. She warned him that she had nothing to lose exposing him, since her family knew that she was alive.

May 1 to 5, 2006
Zach and Kendall continued to talk as they slowly made their way back to Pine Valley. Kendall eventually came to the realization that she loved Zach and she didn't want to give her baby up for adoption. Zach and Kendall made love and afterwards decided to get married. Once they returned to Pine Valley, Kendall and Babe teamed up and enthusiastically threw themselves into setting up a daycare center at Fusion. JR continued to drink heavily as his distrust of Babe grew. Dixie tried to drug Greg in an attempt to gain information about Kate, but Ryan interrupted before she could question Greg. Jack decided to take Lily back to boarding school in a desperate attempt to keep her away from Jonathan. Lily played along with Jack's plans until she got an opportunity to hide on the train. Thinking Lily got off at an earlier stop, Jack got off the train, not realizing that Lily was still on it and hiding. She ended up in New York City and things didn't go well for her there. Lily was totally unprepared to be on her own in the city without any money.
May 8 to 12, 2006
Kendall fell into a coma after being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Babe's worst fears were confirmed when she overheard JR sitting at Kendall's bedside admitting that he was the one who caused a wall of construction equipment meant for Babe to fall on Kendall instead. Erica was faced with the difficult decision of having to choose to save her daughter or her grandchild. Lily continued to be lost in NYC while Jack and Jonathan separately searched for her. Dixie and Zach broke into Greg's office on the island and later returned to Pine Valley.
May 15 to 19, 2006
Lily became upset when she saw Jonathan and Aidan. Jonathan spotted Lily as she ran away, so Jonathan and Aiden tried to catch up to her, but Lily managed to slip away. Lily returned to the hotel, where her circumstances became dire when a man that Lily had met talked her into consuming alcohol. Before long, Lily succumbed to the effects of the alcohol. Kendall continued to linger in a coma, but she was conscious of what was going on around her. Zach objected to the doctors performing an emergency Cesarean section on Kendall, so he barricaded the door to keep the doctors out of the room. Kendall heard shots ring out as Derek tried to enter her room. Dixie visited JR, who was being held in jail. JR was unable to raise money for bail because Adam had frozen JR's accounts. Babe contemplated taking Little Adam and running but worried that it would confirm JR's worst fears.
May 22 to 26, 2006
Jonathan found Lily in the nick of time and saved her from being brutally raped by the man who had given her alcohol. Unfortunately, a scuffle ensued and Jonathan suffered a head injury, which later gave him painful headaches. They decided that since Lily was 18, they should get married. JR was released from jail and immediately found Babe. He apologized to her for everything he had put her through since finding out Dixie was alive; he begged Babe to forgive him. He also told her that he had joined a recovery program and needed to have a card signed each time he attended a meeting. Babe was pleased by the news, but reluctant to forgive him right away. Bianca returned to Pine Valley to be at her sister's side. Initially, Erica was thrilled until she discovered that Bianca had not used the opportunity when she was with Zach to convince him to let Kendall have the surgery. Erica was convinced that with the surgery, the baby had a slim chance of living, but without it, Kendall would certainly die. Ryan confessed his love for Kendall to Bianca. He then talked to Zach. He said that he would not force the issue of Kendall's surgery and asked permission to enter the room. Zach let him. Tad used his fists to force Greg to reveal the name of the family who had adopted Kate.
May 29 to June 2, 2006
Greg sent Tad on a wild goose chase looking for Kate so Greg could buy himself some time to slip out of town. Before Greg left, he drugged Erica and stowed her away with the intention of taking her with him when he left town, and he slipped Dale a mickey, to which he succumbed while alone in a warehouse. Babe forgave JR after she saw him take responsibility for his actions, including causing Kendall's injuries. Kendall began to fade and was taken into surgery. Her son, Spike, was born via a cesarean section. Spike was rushed into the neonatal intensive care unit, where he was holding his own. Zach was arrested on various charges related to keeping the doctors from treating Kendall. He was desperate to get out of jail, fearing the worst about Kendall. Jack found Lily and Jonathan just in time to hear the justice of the peace pronounce them husband and wife.

JUNE 2006
June 5 to 9, 2006
Jack was too late to stop Jonathan and Lily from getting married. JR went to court to face the consequences of his crime against Kendall. Before he left, JR and Dixie had a heart-to-heart talk and reconciled. Kendall emerged from her coma and was happily reunited with Spike, who remained in the neonatal intensive care unit. Greg Madden was missing. It was later revealed that he was buried in a pine box beneath the park's garden. With food, oxygen, water, and light, it was clear that the person who buried him intended for him to stay alive at least for the time being. Soon the person, using a voice changer and recorded message, explained to Greg the terms of his captivity. He was to reveal Kate's whereabouts and after a DNA test confirmed that she was indeed Kate, he would be released. Del blew up Madden's yacht in an effort to keep Madden from using it as an escape route.
June 12 to 16, 2006
Babe came to JR's rescue at the eleventh hour and kept him from going to jail. Kendall slowly recovered, but her anger maintained a strong grip. She demanded that Zach take care of JR while she handled Babe. Jonathan suffered a seizure and was taken to the hospital. He woke up medically fit, but his speech indicated that he no longer suffered the difficulties he had since the brain surgery. He told Erin the truth but reverted to his old speech patterns when Lily saw him. Jonathan told Erin that he felt his "recovery" was a blessing that enabled him to take better care of Lily, but refused to let anyone but Erin know the truth. He intended to remain "impaired" for Lily's sake. In the park, Josh thought he heard his father but was later convinced that it was simply a trick of his imagination. Greg remained buried underground until he divulged Kate's whereabouts. He stubbornly refused to cooperate, even when his health appeared to be failing. Jeff Martin returned to Pine Valley and met Josh. Erica feared that it was not a matter of if but when Jeff would tell Josh the truth.
June 19 to 23, 2006
Josh's attempt to humiliate JR backfired and Josh ended up being suspended from the hospital for two weeks. Jeff considered telling Josh the truth. Terry showed up in Pine Valley looking for his ex-wife, Annie, who had disappeared with their daughter. When he ran through the park during a storm, he happened to see Lily and remembered trying to convince her to have sex with him in NYC. Babe was frustrated and Kendall made it clear that she was very much in control of Fusion. Ryan talked to Zach about the things they'd uncovered about Greg Madden, specifically that he used his own sperm samples during the years of helping women with their fertility problems. Zach told Ryan that as far as everyone was concerned, especially Kendall, there was no possibility that anyone other than Ryan was the father of Spike. JR discovered Babe and Josh on the roof of Fusion during a rainstorm in what appeared to be a romantic moment. Greg began to panic when water started leaking into his coffin.
June 26 to 30, 2006
Terry continued to stalk Lily. Jack was still angry at Erica and didn't bother correcting her when she jumped to the wrong conclusion after she saw him disembark their yacht with Brooke. Erin broke things off with Aidan. JR made a generous offer to assure Krystal that he was a changed man. Greg lingered in the coffin but began to despair of ever getting out. In an effort to put the screws to Greg, Jamie and JR abducted Josh and put him in a walk-in freezer, but Babe soon got wind of the plan and freed Josh. Josh didn't see his abductor but he was certain that Jamie and JR were behind it. The judge dismissed the case against Zach for lack of evidence. Tremors began to rock Pine Valley.

Nearly everyone was a suspect after an earthquake rocked Pine Valley and Greg Madden's body was discovered inside his prison coffin. Josh was convinced that JR was the one responsible for Greg's death and enlisted Kendall's help to try to make JR pay for his crime. Kendall was taken aback when she learned of the theory that Greg was the donor for all the artificial inseminations that he had performed over the years. Colby returned home to her father, but not without controversy. Ryan told Kendall that he loved her and that Zach knew of his feelings.
July 10 to 14, 2006
JR's blackmailer was revealed to be Colby. Babe was shaken after she heard a tape of Greg's last words. Her suspicions that JR was the one who buried Greg alive mounted and, after debating what to do, she had JR listen to the tape. He was stunned by what he heard. Worried that Greg was Spike's biological father, Kendall turned to Josh for help and a DNA test. He was shocked when the results revealed that he shared genetic markers with Spike. Unaware of his biological link to Kendall, Josh broke the news that Greg was Spike's father. Erica was heartbroken when Zach told her that Kendall discovered the secret of Greg fathering at his clinic. Di told Aidan that Erin had moved on with another man. Ryan learned Annie's secret.
July 17 to 21, 2006
JR insisted to Babe that he was being set up for Greg's kidnapping and murder. Babe still had doubts but she set to work trying to figure out who really killed Greg. Her investigation led her to David's home, where she found a transceiver like the one the police claimed was used to communicate with Greg while he was buried alive. Erica was forced to tell Kendall the truth about Josh. Kendall and Ryan decided to have another paternity test run to determine once and for all who Spike's father was. Jonathan confronted Terry about what he did to Lily in New York. Terry denied the allegations, prompting Aidan to call Lily. Lily's reaction upon seeing Terry confirmed Jonathan's accusations. Jamie and Julia were caught in an embarrassing and compromising position. Joe questioned Julia's competence as a nurse, thanks to Josh. Josh decided it was time to leave town and asked Babe to go with him.
July 24 to 28, 2006
The result of the second paternity test for Spike was in. It revealed that Ryan was indeed his father. JR planned to blow Josh's world apart. He asked Krystal to help Babe through the fallout. Musical guest, Rihanna performed her hits "S.O.S." and "Kisses Don't Lie" at ConFusion's grand opening. Josh finally learned the truth about Erica being his mother when Greg's final recording was played for all to hear during the grand opening party. Erica and Kendall tried to talk to Josh, but he was much too shaken up and angry to say much. He stormed out of the party. Babe followed him with the intention of lending a sympathetic shoulder. They ended up on Josh's private jet. Against Babe's wishes, Josh fired up the jet and took off. During the flight, Josh realized that they were low on fuel and that the lights below were out. He radioed to the tower, only to be informed that the airport was closed due to fog. Josh had no choice but to land the plane before they ran out of fuel. Zach and Dixie went to Philadelphia after receiving a clue, but turned up empty-handed. Erin looked for Aidan in the hopes of explaining things to him but when she caught up with him, she saw him and Di in a passionate embrace. Jack heard Jonathan give Erin advice in his normal voice.
July 31 to August 4, 2006
Dixie and Zach were arrested for Greg Madden's murder. Kendall was as certain of Zach's innocence as Tad was certain of Dixie and Zach's guilt. Josh and Babe survived the plane crash and were stranded on a deserted island. JR was despondent at first, but Jamie and Julia convinced him not to give up hope. The three of them formed their own search party. Erin told Aidan the truth about why she ended things and kept the truth about Annie from him. Babe and Josh were rescued. Babe offered Josh a job with Fusion. Erin promised to help JR by exposing Josh for the player that he was. Colby had a new nemesis. Zach explained his plans to Kendall. Dixie and Zach would provide each other an alibi by claiming they were in a hotel room together making love. Kendall saw the advantages to the story, but wondered why Zach needed an alibi if he didn't bury Greg. Tad told David that Dixie was having an affair with Zach. Jack filed a motion to have Lily declared incompetent. Erica tried to talk him out of going through with his plans. Jonathan was upset that Jack would go to such lengths to break him up with Lily. Ryan finally realized that Jonathan was fully recovered.
August 14 to 18, 2006
Derek remained suspicious of Zach and Dixie's story despite talking to a "witness." Jackson's attempt to have Lily's marriage to Jonathan annulled was successful. Lily was shattered when she discovered that Jonathan had been "normal" for some time. Colby planned a birthday gala, but Krystal poured cold water on her plans when she informed Colby that her birthday party would be shared with Sydney. Terry continued to terrorize Annie by letting her know that he could reach her and Emma quite easily. Sean Montgomery arrived in Pine Valley and moved in with his uncle Jack. Lily went on the Internet and made a new online friend-who turned out to be Terry.
August 21 to 25, 2006
Kendall warned Dixie not to overstep her bounds with Zach, or Kendall would expose the truth about Dixie's false alibi. David suspected that Emma was actually Dixie's daughter, Kate. JR and David traded words about Dixie. JR was forced to defend his mother's honor when David called her a "whore." A struggle ensued, but David managed to bash JR over the head with a nearby object. JR was rushed to the hospital, unconscious. Josh and Babe went to Philadelphia to meet with a rock star with the hopes he would agree to Fusion using one of his songs during an ad campaign. In the process of convincing the man, Babe and Josh threw back quite a few shooters and ended up drunk. They stayed in the hotel room after the rocker left. Lily continued to IM with Terry, unaware of who he really was. After a while, Terry suggested that they meet in person.
August 28 to September 1, 2006
Josh overheard a private exchange between Kendall and Zach and learned that their "estrangement" was a farce. Babe and Josh grew closer as Babe and JR grew further apart. Babe was shocked when she stopped by Josh's apartment and found a coffin that he constructed. Zach and Ryan exchanged words over Kendall. Kendall began to have doubts about Zach's innocence because of questions that Ryan raised. Dixie offered to admit to murdering Greg in exchange for Derek leaving JR, Jamie, and Zach alone. Derek announced that if Tad didn't incriminate Dixie, he'd be sending Tad's sons to prison instead for stealing an incriminating piece of evidence. Jonathan worried about Lily's safety with Terry on the loose. Terry and Lily continued to exchange instant messages. Lily still didn't realize whom she was really communicating with when she made arrangements to meet him in private. Erica and Jack couldn't seem to find any common ground. They admitted that there was a growing distance in their marriage.

Colby's birthday party bash gave Lily the opportunity to meet with Terry, whom she still thought was a guy her age with similar issues. Jonathan learned that Lily had an online friend. Adam was determined to make the party special for Colby when he overheard a conversation between her and JR. Colby was furious when Sydney stole the spotlight. Zach and Kendall's relationship became more strained as Kendall's doubts about Zach grew. Zach offered to go on the run with Dixie, but she declined. Kendall questioned whether or not Josh and Babe were just friends. Amanda confided to Babe that she had fallen in love with Jonathan. Jamie told Julia he planned to drop out of medical school. Livia discovered that Jamal was part of an underground network that helped abused women and their children disappear.
September 11 to 15, 2006
Colby was out of control during her party. She moved it to the yacht where Harbor Patrol tried to break it up. As they began boarding, Colby took control of the yacht and raced away and ended up crashing it. The hospital was overwhelmed with injuries, but Colby was conspicuously absent. Zach and Kendall continued to drift apart. Annie accidentally shot Ryan. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Kendall sat vigil at his bedside. Lily met up with Terry, still thinking he was her cyber-friend. Terry convinced Lily, via text messages, to join him at a cabin. Lily trustingly went along with Terry's suggestion. Once she was trapped in the cabin, things turned terrifying for Lily when she realized that Terry tricked her there. Terry became violent, striking Lily when she tried to leave. Lily fell into a catatonic state and Terry began undressing her with lecherous intent. Jonathan and Jack desperately searched for Lily. When Jack heard a gunshot ring out, he raced toward the sound, and found the cabin where Terry had Lily. Jonathan stepped out of the shadows and dropped the gun, admitting he was the one who killed Terry.
September 18 to 22, 2006
As everyone worried about Colby and desperately searched for any sign of her in the aftermath of the boat accident, Colby was safely tucked away in the hidden passages at Chandler Mansion. She eavesdropped on various private conversations while contemplating what to do. Krystal was adamant that Tad keep their night together a secret. She told Tad that she was in love with Adam and didn't want him hurt, especially when his daughter was missing. Babe found it harder and harder to stay away from Josh. As they were making love again on the rooftop, JR walked into Fusion expecting to find Babe working. He found her dress on the floor instead. Lily emerged from her catatonic state, but became extremely agitated when she saw Jonathan. Jonathan was heartbroken. Julia ended her relationship with Jamie. Jamie admitted to JR that his feelings for Julia were real. Zach pushed Kendall away and right into Ryan's arms. Kendall told Ryan that she loved him, but there was also a small part of her that was still in love with Zach.
September 25 to 29, 2006
Jonathan decided to move back with Erin, Annie, and Emma. Ryan asked Annie if she had any interest in finding Emma's biological father. David stole Tad's toothbrush. The Greg Madden murder trailtrial began. As Tad took the stand to testify, Jamie walked in and announced he had proof that Tad was lying. Tad declared a security tape showing him locked in a room was a convincing fake. He insisted that he saw Dixie and her lover kill Greg Madden and his conscience was clear. Colby overheard Babe tell Krystal that she slept with Josh. Josh found Colby in the tunnels. Krystal announced that she was pregnant.

Adam was overjoyed at the news of Krystal's pregnancy. When Adam found directions for a home pregnancy test, he assumed Babe was expecting. Babe flatly denied being pregnant, which led everyone to turn their eyes to Colby when she walked in the room. Jack told Sean that he'd been given guardianship over him. Babe admitted that she was in love with both JR and Josh. Jonathan asked Amanda if their arrangement was interfering with her dating. Lily returned home from the hospital. Erica felt that Jack's growing responsibilities were putting a strain on their vow not to let their children's problems come between them. Tad explained that he lied on the stand to give Zach and Dixie reasonable doubt in the hopes of an acquittal. Zach tried to return the favor when Derek went to arrest Tad. Kendall and Ryan grew closer.
October 9 to 13, 2006
Bianca returned to Pine Valley. Colby accused Josh of seducing her after the accident. She wove a story of a callous man taking advantage of a young, traumatized girl-enough to convince the police to press charges. Babe knew he was innocent because they were together at the time Colby claimed it happened. She cornered Colby and Colby told her that the only way she'd drop the charges against Josh was if Babe and Krystal got out of their lives. Dixie was surprised when she learned that Krystal was pregnant. Dixie showed Annie the picture found in Greg Madden's files, particularly the picture of Emma, to show her connection to Dixie's missing daughter. David offered to kidnap Emma for Dixie. Annie was determined to leave town with Emma. Zach received signed divorce papers.
October 16 to 20, 2006
Colby told David about Josh and Babe sleeping together. Babe decided to stay with JR. Bianca confronted Babe about Josh. David told JR about Kate. Kendall and Zach made love. Julia tried to talk to Jamie but was interrupted by his date. Josh ran into Julia after Jamie left with his date, and together they commiserated over their love lives. Bianca questioned Erica after seeing her leave Jeff's room. Krystal told Adam about the risks of pregnancy at her age and asked him if he could love a child who wasn't perfect. She was deeply moved when he explained his love for Stuart and that he would love their child no matter what, even if it had disabilities. Annie told Ryan that if she took a DNA test it wouldn't match Emma's.
October 23 to 27, 2006
Annie breathed a sigh of relief when the judge ruled in her favor and didn't order a DNA test for Emma. The evidence presented was the fruit of a poisoned tree. What she didn't realize was that, after they left, the judge placed a call to Child Family Services, asking them to investigate further. Krystal told Tad that Adam was the father of her child. David ordered a DNA test between Krystal's baby and Tad. Jack worried that his marriage to Erica was in trouble. Erica reassured him that it wasn't, but his concerns grew when he discovered that Jeff's room was next door to Erica's. Amanda made the mistake of telling Del that she loved Jonathan, much to Jonathan's dismay. He told her that he did not love her, forcing Amanda to quickly deny the declaration. She told him that she had just told Del that to get him off her back. Sean felt guilty knowing that he was Colby's first. David told JR that Josh and Babe had slept together. Later, JR assured Babe that he did not believe David. Josh confronted David. Spike developed a fever. Emma disappeared.
October 30 to November 3, 2006
Krystal and Adam made an announcement. Tests confirmed that they were expecting a healthy baby girl. JR bragged about his marriage to Babe, prompting Josh to blurt out that he had slept with Babe. Babe was shocked when JR told her about Josh's claims. JR was stunned when she confirmed the affair. David had taken Emma, and offered Dixie the opportunity to disappear with the little girl. Dixie was tempted to leave Pine Valley with Emma but had a change of heart, and returned her to Annie. Annie agreed to have Emma's DNA tested. Colby was prompted by jealousy to kiss Sean when she noticed him staring at Amanda. Sean made it clear that he and Colby were just friends. Colby played along with it, but was hurt. She lashed out at Sydney and framed her for a theft. Zach turned to Myrtle for advice on how to make amends with Kendall for all the pain he put her through. Kendall and Babe each found their dream home. Unfortunately, it was the same home. Erica made last-minute preparations for her party at the hotel. When there was a knock at the door, she thought it was Jeff, but was disappointed when it was Jack. Josh found Erin at the party and propositioned her.

November 6 to 10, 2006
Dixie and Tad nervously awaited the results of Emma's DNA test. Annie and Ryan learned that a mother could carry two types of DNA so that initially she might not appear to be a genetic match to her child. Babe was furious with Josh for telling JR about their one night together. Adam tried to find his son. JR self-destructed after Babe confirmed that she slept with Josh. He started drinking and ended up jumping through the window of Josh's room, which was several stories up. Miraculously, JR survived the fall but his condition was critical. Erica and Bianca, who were in the room at the time JR jumped, looked on as Josh tried to stabilize JR so that he could be transported to the hospital. Erica and Bianca were questioned by the police. Adam and Dixie blamed Babe for what happened to JR. Krystal warned Adam not to go after Babe. Babe made it clear to Josh that she wanted nothing to do with him. Jeff confessed his true feelings for Erica to her. Jack confronted Erica about Jeff.
November 13 to 17, 2006
Tad and Dixie were devastated when they learn the results of the DNA test for Emma. She was not Kate. Annie's relief was short-lived. Emma was taken into protective custody. JR survived the fall. Babe was plagued by guilt. Adam was determined to push Babe out of JR's life. Krystal was ready to reveal the truth about her baby when she realized how far Adam was willing to go to keep Babe away from JR. Jamie and Julia gave in to their feelings.
November 20 to 24, 2006
Dixie paid Krystal a visit to ask her if the baby she was carrying was really Tad's. Krystal vehemently denied it, insisting that Adam was the father of her child. Jack and Erica continued to grow further apart. Bianca tried to organize a family Thanksgiving dinner in the hopes of bringing the nearly estranged couple together. As Erica prepared to move home, she got a huge surprise when Jack sent over all of her belongings from the house. Josh continued to try to convince Babe that they belonged together. Babe tried to talk to JR, but he made it very clear that he wanted nothing to do with her. At the hospital, Jeff had three envelopes with the DNA results in them. Annie was ready, so Jeff opened the first two. Both showed no DNA match between Annie and Emma! David told Kendall that Ryan was the father of Annie's little girl, Emma. Tad and Jamie found a video message from David, confessing that he lied about Emma being Kate. He went on to say that their incompetent family was why he lost his Leora. Because of that, he had been in hell every day since, and he offered to give it to the Martins. He bestowed upon them his wish that they never find peace.
November 27 to December 1, 2006
The Kanes gathered for their annual Thanksgiving dinner, and things quickly deteriorated as Erica and Jack squared off. Kendall tried to dispute David's claim that Ryan was actually Emma's father, but he wove a convincing tale. JR encouraged Josh to take Babe, but warned him to stay away from Little Adam. Josh asserted that when Babe ended up with him, she would have her son. Adam decided to invite Tad and Dixie to the Chandler Thanksgiving dinner after JR told him that he credited Tad and Dixie for getting him back from the brink of death. Before leaving town, David left something for Adam. It was a DVD in which he started listing Krystal's sins. Babe became outraged over her father's latest evil intent and ended up smashing the DVD before the secret about Krystal's was revealed. A series of vivid dreams revealed the inner fears of several residents. Zarf fell in love with Bianca at first sight.

Pine Valley was rocked by Simone's untimely death. When he saw Simone's corpse, Zach was reminded of his recurring vision of the mysterious woman. Zach learned that Simone died of a drug overdose. Ryan and Zach were suspicious of Zarf. They decided to look into Simone's death. Babe admitted to Josh that she loved him. Dixie told Tad about David's claims that Tad was the father of Krystal's child. Tad refused to believe it. He felt that Dixie needed to believe David because of her guilt over giving Kate up. She desperately wanted to give Tad a child and she saw this as an opportunity to do so. Kendall was not pleased to learn that Ryan and Annie took Spike for pictures with Santa. Amanda and Aidan rented rooms at Wildwind. Jamie and Julia moved in together. Jonathan and Lily found closure. Erica told Jeff that she had decided to get a divorce.
December 11 to 15, 2006
Was there a serial killer on the loose? Erin Lavery was found dead on the Fusion rooftop, wearing a white ribbon in her hair and holding a gardenia. The pose was eerily similar to how Simone was found. Jonathan and Ryan took the news hard. Amanda and Annie offered them what comfort they could. It was apparent that the women of Fusion were being targeted, so security was increased and bodyguards were assigned to protect the ladies. Zach recalled a past event that might shed some light on the murders. JR told Colby that he still loved Babe.
December 18 to 22, 2006
A joint funeral was held for both Simone and Erin. Everyone gathered, carrying white roses. Those who were close to the slain women gave touching eulogies. Sean and Colby tried to play matchmaker in the hopes of Erica and Jack reconciling. Dixie talked to Babe about Krystal's pregnancy in the hopes of having the truth about the paternity confirmed. Dixie had a visit from Father Clarence, who had amazing insight into Tad's life, as well as Dixie's.
December 25 to 29, 2006
Tad uncovered more of Zach's past that linked him to the women's murders. Ryan walked in on Kendall and Josh arguing about Annie and Ryan's right to know the truth about Emma's paternity. Julia's friends were involved in a car crash on their way to visit her, leaving their younger daughter a possible orphan. Bianca found herself strangely excited about her New Year's Eve date with Zarf. She was shocked when she opened the door to find Zarf dressed from head to toe as a woman.
