Robin Mattson
January 2007
Soap veteran Robin Mattson (ex-Janet Green, AMC) will join the cast of As the World Turns next month. The short-term stint in Oakdale will mark a return to daytime television for the Emmy-nominated actress. Mattson will appear in the newly-created role of Cheri, who is described by a showsperson as "a woman who gives Emily a run for her money."
Kenneth Franklin
February 2007
Daytime newcomer Kenneth Franklin joins the cast of As the World Turns, taking over the role of Dallas Griffin. The decision to recast the role means that Duane McLaughlin, the actor that created the role of Dallas, is out.
Scott Bryce
March 2007
An As the World Turns spokesperson has confirmed a report made last week by soapcentral.com that the show has opted to recast the role of Craig Montgomery. Out is newcomer Jeffrey Meek and in is someone fans knew and loved in the role. But sorry, ATWT fans: it is not Emmy-nominated Hunt Block.
Tamara Tunie
March 2007
Tamara Tunie (Jessica Griffin) has exited As the World Turns after a 20-year run with the CBS soap. The decision appears to be that of the actress - but don't feel too badly for Tunie. The actress already has several other gigs lined up.
Zach Roerig
April 2007
Zach Roerig (Casey Hughes) has opted not to re-sign his contract with As the World Turns. The young star will exit the CBS soap later this year and focus his attention on projects outside of daytime television.
Cady McClain
May 2007
Cady McClain is returning to daytime television. While fans of both All My Children and As the World Turns have been speculating that the actress would return to their respective shows, it was quite obvious that McClain could return to only one show. And there was always the possibility that McClain would opt for a new role on an entirely different show.

June 2007
In a major online development, CBC has announced that it will begin broadcasting its entire daytime lineup via its corporate web site, CBS.com. The move will allow fans of its daytime lineup to watch episodes of The Young and the Restless, As the World Turns and Guiding Light from the comfort of their own personal computer.
Hunt Block
August 2007
Emmy-nominated Hunt Block will set up shop in Llanview for at least a little while later this year. The former As the World Turns star has also appeared on Guiding Light and All My Children.
Chaunteé Schuler
October 2007
Newcomer Chaunteé Schuler has landed the role of Bonnie on As the World Turns. The stage veteran is slated to make her first on-screen appearance next month. Bonnie has been off-screen for nearly four years.
Wole Parks
October 2007
As the World Turns has opted to recast the role of Dallas Griffin marking the second time the show has done so this calendar year. Many fans, however, will find more drama surrounding the personal life of the new Dallas than they will in the character's life -- the NY-based actor was involved in a fatal hit-and-run in 2006.
Nathaniel Marston
October 2007
Troubled One Life to Live star Nathaniel Marston was arrested in New York this weekend for an alleged drug-induced attack on three people. Marston was previously arrested for attacking an ATM. Marston joined OLTL in 2001. He appeared previously on CBS's As the World Turns.
Alexandra Chando
October 2007
Emmy-nominated Alexandra Chando (Maddie Coleman) will exit As the World Turns this week. Her exit, whispered about on various message boards for some time now, is dictated by storyline - or rather lack thereof.
Colleen Zenk Pinter
October 2007
Fans have known that something wasn't quite right with Colleen Zenk Pinter (Barbara Ryan) over the past few weeks. But exactly what wasn't known until recently. In a television interview, the Emmy-nominated actress revealed that she was diagnosed with oral cancer and had to have reconstructive surgery performed on her tongue.
Cady McClain
November 2007
Cady McClain has announced that she will be exiting As the World Turns earlier than expected. The news has ATWT fans in an uproar, but fans of All My Children are hoping that the Emmy winning-actress will make a return to their show.
Nathaniel Marston
November 2007
ABC has confirmed that troubled One Life to Live star Nathaniel Marston has lost his job. The firing comes in the wake of an incident last month in which Marston is accused of assaulting three people. The actor faces a court date in February.
Grayson McCouch
December 2007
Sources say that Grayson McCouch will be exiting As the World Turns early in the new year. The Emmy-nominated actor joined the cast of the CBS soap in 2003. He is the second actor to play Dusty Donovan.
Sarah Brown
December 2007
Sarah J. Brown is headed back to daytime television -- but she will not be appearing as her best known role, General Hospital's Carly. Brown will play Claudia Zacchara, a new character for the ABC soap. The actress appeared most recently on CBS's As the World Turns.
