Extended As the World Turns Emmy tribute video

For many As the World Turns fans, this year's special Emmy tribute to the show fell short. How do you sum up more than five decades of show in a 90-second video clip? Obviously, there was a lot of condensing involved. It wasn't that the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences didn't feel that As the World Turns deserved a longer a tribute. Ditto to the production company behind this year's telecast, Associated Television International.


Quite simply, the tribute package had to be trimmed to make sure that everything fit into the two-hour awards ceremony.


However, CBS has released the entire two-minute tribute for As the World Turns fans to enjoy. We're pleased to be able to present the extended tribute video below.





In December 2009, CBS announced that As the World Turns would go off the air in September 2010.
