As Mike and Katie finish their leftover pumpkin pie, Margo and Tom arrive at the door with the news that Chris has returned from Philadelphia to patch things up with Alison. Katie rushes outside to call Alison to warn her, then comes back in. Margo leads the conversation around to a memorial service for Simon, but Katie immediately knows that Mike asked Margo to bring the subject up. After Margo and Tom leave, Simon tells Katie that he hopes she will want to get on with her life, and that there will be a place for him in her new life. Katie confesses that she can't handle a traditional memorial service in which everyone sits around telling stories about Simon. She knows that she is ready to say goodbye to Simon, but she doesn't know how. Katie feels strongly that she needs to talk to Simon one last time, so she takes Simon's ashes and goes out alone for one last time with Simon.

Chris appears at Alison's door, and Katie calls just as Chris comes inside, warning Alison that she must tell Chris right away if he is the father of Alison's baby. First Chris apologizes for the way he left Alison, then Alison admits to Chris that Aaron was the person in the hotel room with her. At that moment, Aaron rushes in with a bag of maternity clothes, which is how Chris finds out that Alison is pregnant. Chris at first assumes that the baby is his, but Aaron informs him that Alison told him that Aaron himself is the father. Alison asks Aaron to give her time to talk to Chris alone, but, when Chris questions her about the possibility of his being the baby's father, Alison tells Chris that the one thing she would not lie about is the paternity of her child. She insists that Aaron is the father. Chris tells Alison that for a minute he thought the baby was his, and that made him happy. He tells Alison that he loves her, but that it is obvious that she is still obsessed with Aaron. Chris leaves, and when Aaron returns, Alison cries on his shoulder. Chris goes to metro and calls Tom to come meet him. Chris tells him that he is in love with Alison, although she says that she is pregnant with Aaron's baby, and she still wants Aaron. Chris is angry because he is now stuck in Oakdale, where he doesn't want to be, since he quit the job in Philadelphia.

Barbara sits in the wedding chapel, telling herself, "I just can't let this happen." Jennifer comes in and begs her not to do something desperate to stop the wedding. When Jennifer begs Barbara to accept Rose, Barbara replies, "Rose D'Angelo has destroyed everything that is precious to me, and she will be my enemy until one of us is dead." After Jennifer begs Barbara to give up her hatred for Rose and to accept her as part of the family, Barbara pretends to agree, and tells Jen that she will stay home from the wedding the next day. Jennifer leaves, and Barbara draws a gun from her purse saying, "I'm sorry, Jennifer. This wedding won't happen tomorrow, or any other day. I will do what I have to do."

Outside the back door of the Snyder farm, Hal lets Paul know that he suspects him of harassing Rose, although he does not have proof. Will comes outside and Paul gives him a camera for his computer which will enable the brothers to talk "face to face" every day, even though one will be in Oakdale and the other in Paris. Before Paul leaves, he thanks Hal for taking such good care of Will.

At Rose's house, Dusty shows Rose proof that Paul made the threatening calls and damaged her car. He shows her paint, windshield glass, gloves, and a bat that he found in Paul's trunk. He begs her to call the wedding off, saying, "Your life depends on it." Rose throws Dusty out of her house, telling him to leave and never come back. Dusty returns to metro, telling Molly that Rose didn't believe him. Dusty tells Molly that, in spite of her objections, he is going to continue to try to save Rose from Paul. When Paul returns to the penthouse, he is surprised to find Rose there, since he expected her to spend the night before the wedding apart from him. She tells him about Dusty's accusations, so he rushes back out the door after kissing her, saying, "Remember - I love you. Forever and always." Paul rushes into metro, punches Dusty and warns him to stop harassing Rose, then leaves. Back in the penthouse, Rose looks through Paul's desk for a compact disc and finds the voice alternator. In a few minutes, Paul returns to the penthouse and finds Rose gone and the desk in disarray. He tells himself, "She found it." Rose enters metro and holds out the device to Molly and Dusty. She asks Molly, "Is this the voice alternator you found in Paul's pocket?"

Mike and Margo set out to find Katie. At the church, Katie prays for a sign she is not a jinx to the men that love her. Margo and Mike find Katie's car. Mike carries in a baby lamb to the chapel. She takes this as a positive sign. They go to return the lamb to its farm and snow begins to fall. Katie sees this as a good omen as well and she leaves on Mike's arm. Jennifer assures Hal that Barbara is not planning anything to wreck the wedding. She thinks he's being too hard on her mom. Meanwhile, Barbara gives Bennett the slip. Walker, who's answering John Dixon's pages while he is away, finds Barbara waiting in the cold. He offers her a place to stay. Barbara is moved by his generosity but declines the invitation. Molly confirms to Rose it is the same voice changer she found at Paul's. Rose is devastated and Dusty comforts her. Rose is brief with Paul on the phone and he realizes she is with Dusty at Metro. Paul discovers that Crater is a double agent. He punches him out, fires him and goes in search of Rose. Dusty takes terrified Rose home and instructs Molly to cover for them if Paul arrives. Paul demands Molly tell him where Rose is. She finally reveals they are at Rose's. Rose thanks Dusty for never giving up trying to tell her the truth. Dusty admits he is still in love with her. Rose goes into his arms. Paul arrives in time to see the embrace. Rose and Dusty kiss and Paul is devastated. He vows Rose won't get away with this.

Bob urges Chris to find out for sure if Alison's baby is his or not. Chris corners Katie, who divulges little about the baby. Later, she warns Alison that Chris is asking questions. After, Chris informs Alison that he's home for good. Aaron tells Alison he is not going to the wedding so he won't upset Lucy. But after, Lucy encourages him to go. Emma reminds a newly hopeful Aaron how true love can overcome many obstacles. Elsewhere, Clark and Lucy confirm their date for the wedding. Jack suggests to Hal that they use Will as bait to find Barbara. Jack, Emily and Hal discover Will isn't in the house and frantically search for him. He casually arrives from shopping with a wedding gift for Paul. With difficulty, Hal asks Will to call Barbara and ask her to meet him. Rose awakens in Dusty's arms. He wants her to call off the wedding, but she insists that she needs to think. A thrilled Dusty arrives at Metro and announces that it looks like the wedding is off. Angry Molly accuses Dusty of lying and using her. She rails that Rose is playing both Paul and Dusty. Molly breaks into Rose's place, where Emily catches her. Paul visits the prison. James advises his son to put Rose to the test. If she comes clean with him about last night, she can be trusted. Rose confides in Lily what she found out about Paul. She admits that she spent the night with Dusty, but they didn't have sex. Lily encourages Rose not to be swayed by Dusty or anyone else but her own heart. Later, Paul finds Rose alone in the church. Meanwhile, Lily cautions Dusty he may be celebrating the end too soon.

Chris was talking to Alison at the hospital as Katie looked on. Alison wanted to know why he was staying in Oakdale. Just as Chris was about to answer, he was paged. Alison told Katie that Chris was staying and Katie told Alison that sooner or later he would find out that the baby was his. Alison doesn't feel that Chris loves her and she won't use the baby to make him be with her. Katie asked her about Aaron. He thinks he is the father of her baby and it isn't fair to him to make him believe he is. Alison was about to leave when she ran into Chris. Chris wanted to know how sure Alison was about who the father was. Chris wanted Alison to have an ultrasound so he could be sure that the baby wasn't his.

Hal asked Will to call his mother. Hal is concerned about what Barbara will do at the wedding. Hal convinced Will to help him protect his mother. Will called his mother and told her he wanted to see her. Barbara caught on that Hal was involved and asked Will to put his father on the phone. She then proceeded to tell Hal off and Hal warned her that she better not pull anything but Barbara wasn't listening. After she hung up on Hal, Barbara pulled a gun out of her purse.

At the church, Paul was telling Rose that it was him who made the phone call because he was trying to protect her. Paul was adamant about Rose telling him the truth about where she was at the night before. Rose never told Paul that she was with Dusty. After she left to get ready, Paul turned around and called Rose a liar. Paul returned to his apartment and was having hallucinations about Rose and Dusty together plus hearing his father's voice telling him not to call off the wedding. He finally came out of it when Jennifer called his name. Jennifer gave Paul a gift and apologized for not being more supportive of him and Rose and that she was coming to the wedding. Jen noticed that Paul was acting strange and when she asked him about it, Paul told her that he knew exactly what he had to do and that Rose was going to get the wedding she always deserved.

Emily caught Molly snooping around Rose's place. After arguing Molly told Emily that there wasn't going to be a wedding because Rose spent the night in Dusty's arms. Molly left and went back to Metro where she ran into Lily. She told Lily that Rose was the one who was causing all the trouble and that she couldn't decide which man she wanted. Back at Rose's, Carly and Emily wanted to know what was going on with Rose. Rose told them that she was really nervous about the wedding and that she was upset over Mitzi. Just as they were about to get ready, Dusty showed up and asked Rose if he called off the wedding. Rose told him that she was marrying Paul.

Jen asks Paul where he went since his tuxedo actually was at home instead of at the cleaners as he suggested. Paul says he later realized the mix-up so he went shopping instead. He bought a present for Rose. He dismisses his earlier rage on pre-wedding jitters. Paul says, "Living well is the best revenge. And I will have lots of revenge." He excuses himself to get ready for the wedding.

Rose tells Dusty she is going forward with marrying Paul despite his threat to kill her. She also says Dusty must accept the fact he can't see her anymore. Dusty whispers, "What if I say no?" Then he threatens to tell Paul she spent last night in his arms. She says Paul had nothing to do with damaging her car. Inside, Emily is at the door trying to listen. Carly decides to call Jack to help break up Rose and Dusty.

Jack gets Carly's call while he is at Hal's place. He heads over to help out. Hal calls his stakeout team at the church and tells them to conduct a thorough search of the church and to make sure his ex-wife doesn't get inside. One of the cops snips, "I had a wife like that." As they enter the church, they see a shadow move and hear someone walking. They ask, "Who's there?" They see someone sitting in a pew. The figure stands up and slowly turns around. Barbara is revealed wearing a nun's outfit, make-up, and holding a rosary. The cops don't blink twice, and apologize for disturbing the sister. Babs just grins menacingly.

Back outside Rose's house, Dusty says he's trying to protect her not because he wants her back, but only because he cares for her safety. Rose calls his bluff and says Paul will forgive her if he finds out about 'last night,' because Paul is just that kind of guy. Just after Dusty grabs Rose to help him get his point across, Lily arrives and tells him to get his hands off her sister. Carly and Emily also join the group and tell Rose to say good-bye to Dusty. Rose says, "I've been trying too do that, but he won't take 'no' for an answer." Lily says, "There's a name for people like that." Dusty asks her to prove that she wants him to leave, so she slaps him. Soon after, Jack arrives. He grabs Dusty by the arm, but Dusty shucks Jack loose and walks away under his own power. Jack makes sure Dusty returns to his car. Emily and Carly go back inside while Rose and Lily chitchat. Rose says Dusty threatened to tell Paul about 'last night.' Lily promises she'll handle Dusty, then she takes off looking for the man.

Katie and Mike are getting ready for the wedding. Katie looks stunning in her dress, but Mike can't find a tux and his really nice black suit is in the cleaners. Katie doesn't seem to mind. She suddenly remembers she has to feed Snickers and slips out. Later, she returns wearing a frumpy outfit to match the best of what Mike has available to wear. Katie admits she and Mike are now best friends, and that she is ready to move on with the rest of her life.

Rose, Carly, and Emily arrive at the church and head off to the prep room. Ms. Walsh is already waiting inside and wants to confirm Mitzi won't be a part of the wedding. Rose briefly fills her in on Mitzi's character, and isn't happy find out Lucinda gave her $500. Rose writes Mitzi off and says, "That means she won't be here to wreck my wedding."

Back at Rose's house, Mitzi unlocks the door and confirms no one is home. Once inside she says, "Now's my chance to stop you from sending me to prison."

Carly notices Rose's shoes are missing. Lucinda gives Carly and Emily the keys to her car to go get the shoes. After the girls leave, Barbara sneaks up to the door and listens. She pulls out a gun and reaches for the door until she hears voices. Inside, Lucinda gives Rose a beautiful antique mirror. She tells a story of how she looks in the mirror to find strength and confidence. Rose wonders why she didn't give the heirloom to Faith or Lily. Lucinda says she sees a bit of herself in Rose. Rose asks Lucinda if she will walk her down the isle since her father is sick and couldn't make it. Lucinda accepts. Rose lets down her guard, lets a tear fall, and then says, "I'm just starting to have fun for the first time!"

Jack escorts Dusty back inside Metro. Dusty asks what Jack is doing about Paul threatening to hurt Rose. "If you people can't get it together to protect the woman, I'm going to have to do it myself." Jack looks around the club and makes a veiled threat about causing trouble for Dusty and his club if he doesn't stay away from Rose. After Jack leaves, Lily steps up for round two. She warns him not to tell Paul about 'last night' and says, "Don't you get it? This wedding is going to go off no matter what you say." Dusty turns everything around and points the finger at Lily. He accuses her of making Rose's head spin with crazy ideas of her love for Paul. Dusty sinks a little lower in his slime pit and accuses Lily of wanting Rose to marry Paul because, "You don't want her to hook up with me." Dusty thinks Lily still has a secret passion burning for her ex-lover. Lily tries to slap him, but Dusty grabs her arm and whispers, "Your sister's a lot quicker." Lily turns to leave, and on her way out, Dusty utters, "See you at the wedding!"

Jen can't resist finding out what Paul bought for Rose. She pulls out a beautiful red goblet when Paul catches her. He encourages her to look at the rest. She blushes, then finds an expensive bottle of champagne and other matching goblets for the bridesmaids.

Mitzi finally finds the old books from the Roller Palace when she hears Emily and Carly approach the front door.

Lucinda finishes buttoning up the backside of Rose's dress then she asks if there is anything else she needs. Rose asks for a moment alone to compose herself. Lucinda obliges and leaves Rose alone in the room. After Lucinda is gone, Sister Babs takes a few steps toward Rose's door, gun in hand.

Hal arrives at the church and checks in with his police detail. One officer says everyone is accounted for, even the nun. Hal wonders what a Catholic nun is doing at a non-Catholic church. It doesn't take him long to figure out Barbara is up to her old tricks, and he races inside the church looking for his ex-wife.

Barbara reaches the door, opens it just a crack and points her gun directly at Rose's head.
