Carly with the settlement check in hand makes a phone call to Jack who is at the farm but he hangs up on her. Parker witnesses this and Jack apologizes, but Parker tells him that he understands.

Brad comes into the kitchen and Jack comments that he didn't come back last night. Brad wants to know what business it is of his. Jack wants to know if he spent the night at Katie's and Brad said that he did; someone had to. Jack accuses Brad of taking advantage of Katie while she is vulnerable and Brad is angry that his brother assumes he wasn't just being a friend to Katie. Emma breaks up the growing argument and sends Jack to the barn. Emma asks Brad why he can't get along with Jack, but he says that Jack is just angry at himself. Emma asks Brad why he is still in Oakdale. Jack comes in and inquires if he was planning on leaving town. Emma leaves to help Parker with his suit and Jack and Brad continue their banter. Brad tells Jack that he gave up his right to be Katie's protector when he left her to marry someone else and that Katie needs him to be her friend. Jack scoffs at this, but Brad tells him that he isn't conning her and in fact she asked him to stay the night. Brad tells him that if he had been upfront with Katie this wouldn't have happened. He accuses Jack of using Katie to get back at Carly for hurting him and that as soon as Carly got sick he ran right back to her; where he wanted to be.

Jack and Parker are dressed in their suits to see the judge for the adoption. As they go to leave Emma inquires if Carly will be there, but he says no.

Carly paces wondering what to do next and gets an idea; she looks in the yellow pages for Katie's number. She goes to leave, but Gwen shows up. Carly tells her sister that she was leaving to see Katie to give her the settlement check to somehow make up for what she did. Gwen tells her that is the stupidest thing she could do; she can't just pay Katie off, but Carly says that's not what she is trying to do. Gwen tells her that she just needs to leave Jack and Katie alone.

At Al's Henry and Vienna commiserate with Katie over the happenings with Jack and Carly. Vienna insists that Jack is free to be with her, but Katie doesn't think so. She tells them that it's over for her and Jack. They want to know why; she mentions Brad and Vienna and Henry are upset but Katie assures them that she didn't sleep with him. She tries to tell them that Brad has changed, but they aren't buying it. Katie tells them that Brad has been good to her and that she is in control.

Gwen and Carly are outside Al's. Gwen leaves Carly to go talk to Henry. Katie sees Carly outside and Henry and Vienna immediately tell Carly that she can't come in; but Katie tells them to back off. Carly tells her about the settlement check; that she wants her and Jack to have it. She hands the check to Katie, but it is rejected. Katie tells her to keep her money since she did earn it. Carly said that she didn't expect her to understand. Katie tells Carly that since she came back to Oakdale she couldn't stand that she and Jack were happy together. Carly disputed that she ever intended to use her illness against her, but Katie ended the conversation. She thanked Carly for taking Jack back because it would have happened sooner or later- and that Carly was the worst thing to ever happen to him because she will never leave him alone. She told her that because of this Jack will likely never be happy.

Inside Al's, Gwen asks Henry if Maddie will be home for Thanksgiving, but Henry says no. She tells him that she wanted to share with her the news that she and Will are adopting a baby. Henry is happy at this news, but wants to know why she doesn't look happy about it.

Later, Carly tells Gwen that she doesn't want the money and wants to give it to someone that doesn't hate her; she then gets an idea.

Katie calls Brad after her encounter with Carly and wants to know if he can come to Al's to do a story there for WOAK. He happily agrees. They plan to meet at WOAK first and then go to the diner.

At WOAK Brad is working on the story before heading to Al's. Carly approaches him and asks for a favor; he is less than enthusiastic. She reminds him that he owes her so he better help. She gives him the settlement check and tells him to give to Jack for him and the kids. Brad wants to know how she expects Jack to accept the check, but Carly tells him to lie. Brad tells him that yes, he knew she was lying to Jack, but he is done doing favors for her and leaves for Al's.

Katie arrives at WOAK. During the sound check she hears Brad and Carly's conversation; they apparently were near a microphone and it was recorded. She realizes that Brad knew all along that Carly wasn't sick.

Back at Al's Vienna gives Brad the cold shoulder and tells him that she knows he is lying about what happened between him and Katie, but he assures her that his days of lying are over.

In Olde Town after finalizing the adoption, Jack tells Parker how much it means to him that he is now his son and gives him a jacket with Snyder embroidered on it. Parker thanks him and calls him dad. Parker tells him that he knows Jack still loves Katie, but then they run into Carly. Parker tells her that they had just come from the judge. Carly wants to know why she wasn't told and Parker tells her it was because he didn't want her there. She angrily tells Jack that she had a right to be there, but Jack tells her it was Parker's decision. They leave Carly standing there.

At the Lakeview Aaron and Cole argue about giving Sofie's baby up for adoption. Aaron tells him that Sofie wants an open adoption so that's what they should do, but Cole says that if they start all over again she will just endure more pain and he wants to spare her. He tells Aaron to leave them alone.

In the Lobby Sofie tells Gwen that things haven't gone as planned- she starts to explain but Gwen stops her and says that she doesn't have to tell her since it's her decision. Sofie starts explain the situation, but Cole angrily interrupts. Gwen covers and tells him that she was just congratulating Sofie on she and Cole getting back together and leaves. Cole apologizes to Sofie for his attitude and tries to smooth things over. He tells her that after she gives the baby away they are going to move to L.A. Sofie is taken aback by this; if they can't afford to keep their baby, how can they afford to move to L.A.? Cole says that his mom gave them money for the move. He wants to go home and make love, but she tells him that it's not good for the baby. Cole angrily leaves.

In Olde Town Aaron runs into Alison. She asks him why he is so angry. He confides in her about Holden and Lily getting divorced. They have a nice talk and he tells her that she made him feel better. Aaron leaves to go get cider for them. She put her purse on the bench as she throws away her trash. Cole picks it up. Alison protests but he tells her that not every guy is as nice as he is. He gives her the purse and asks her to have a drink with him; Aaron comes around the corner to hear her turn Cole down. Cole leaves and Aaron tells her that she had just met Cole and Alison is astonished. Aaron suddenly gets an idea to use Alison as a lure so they can find out what he is up to, but Alison is appalled. She hurtfully tells him that he is once again reminding her about the things she did and to just leave her alone. Cole approaches and sees her there alone and upset. He asks her again for a drink; she first declines, but then accepts and they leave together.

At a bar, she and Cole are doing shots. She leaves the table to get another round; the bartender fills her shot with water. She goes back to the table and Cole tells her that he is moving to L.A. soon. She asks him how he can just pick up and go; does he have any commitments here? He tells her he has none. He asks about her; does she want to go on a road trip.

Back at the Lakeview Iris sees Sofie alone at the bar. Sofie thanks her for the money that she thinks Iris gave her and Cole so they can move to L.A. Iris is briefly taken aback, but catches herself and gushes about what a wonderful mother she is to help her children out and abruptly leaves. Aaron arrives back and Sofie tells him that she knows he doesn't like Cole, but she is sure that he is changing and will do the right thing for her and the baby. She leaves. Alison arrives and much to Aaron's surprise she tells him that he was right; Cole is up to no good.

After learning that Brad knew about Carly's lies, Katie arrives at Al's to film the show about Thanksgiving. She is greeted by Kim and Henry and is surprised by Brad. After they film a promo for their show, Katie lays into Brad blaming him for not telling the truth and watching her marriage to Jack end without stepping up and telling everyone what he knew. Brad admits to knowing and explains that he couldn't change Carly's mind, but Katie continues to blame him for not speaking out. As the two film another promo, Katie pours mash potatoes and gravy on Brad's head. When Kim yells cut, Vienna hands Brad a mop and bucket and tells him to clean it up. Brad continues to apologize to Katie and promises to never hurt her again as he accidentally spills water all over her sending her off to get changed.

Carly dreams about her ideal Thanksgiving Day with the kids and Jack as she is jolted back to reality by the microwave alarm ringing. She checks to make sure it was just a dream and when she realizes it is she starts calling Paul and Gwen to look for a place to spend her holiday. When she figures out she is alone she digs into her frozen turkey dinner, but is stopped when there is a knock at the door. Thinking it is Jack she rushes to the door, but finds Brad instead. Brad explains to Carly what happened at Al's and that Katie hates him now. Brad thanks Carly for dragging him into her drama and for ruining any chance he ever had with Katie and storms out.

Meanwhile, Katie has returned to her hotel room to change and as she does someone persistently knocks on her door. Assuming it is Brad she yells that she doesn't forgive him, but when the knocking continues she answers it and is surprised to find Jack. Katie explains that her wrath was directed at Brad and Jack questions what happened. Jack learns that Brad knew about Carly and tells Katie he is sorry. He asks her to come to the farm for dinner, but Katie says no and sends Jack on his way. Alone in her room she begins to cry and Jack hears her.

Evan arrives at Al and warns Chris that Bob is looking for him. Bob confronts Chris about finding Evan in a lab at the hospital and questions why Chris gave him permission to do so after Bob had explicitly told him not to. Bob and Chris argue over Evan being at the lab and once again Chris threatens to leave if Bob doesn't take him seriously. Bob tells him that is his choice and Emily and Chris leave. Bob asks Kim what has gotten into Chris and Kim says she believes it is Emily.

Chris and Emily head back to the Lakeview where Chris explains he is surprised that his father doesn't trust him and then leaves to make a call to Evan. When Emily is alone, Dusty walks in and asks her if everything is o.k. Emily tells Dusty he shouldn't be alone on Thanksgiving he explains he won't be alone since he is meeting Lily later.

As Meg helps Emma with Thanksgiving dinner she cuts herself and admits to being nervous and distracted. Emma counsels Meg to move back home and let her family take care of her and the baby, but Meg says she wants to try to make it work with Craig. Emma tries to caution her daughter about Craig, but Meg reassures her that everything will be fine. Luke and Noah arrive in the kitchen and Emma invites Noah to stay and help with the Hubbard squash. Jack, Holden, and the kids arrive with the squash and get ready for Thanksgiving with their family. Outside Lily calls Dusty to thank him for the flowers and after seeing Emily with Chris he asks Lily if she can meet him later. Holden overhears Lily agreeing to try to meet Dusty later and he watches her go inside without saying a word. Jack comes out and asks Holden how he is and the two share their misery about the women they are losing. Jack explains that Brad is watching after Katie and Holden encourages him to talk to Katie. Jack heads out to talk to Katie as Lily comes out to talk to Holden. She asks if dinner is going to be late and when Holden asks if she has someplace to be, she answers yes.

Craig sits by the river and imagines Meg telling him that Paul was right and that she and her baby will never love him. He turns to grab Meg and the baby, but comes back to reality when he tries to grab a blanket from a homeless woman.

After talking with her mom Meg sees the text message Craig sent to Paul asking him to meet him at the bridge and runs out. When she finds Craig sitting alone by the water she learns that Paul was there, but he has gone back to be with Rosanna and that he left the message for her to find so she would come rushing to save Paul. She explains she didn't come to help Paul, but to make sure the father of her baby was o.k. Craig says he doesn't trust her and Meg explains that she wants to make a family for their baby.

Brad arrives at the farm and gets ready to enjoy dinner. The family is overjoyed when Luke gets himself into his chair with no help and Lily and Holden share a happy moment. A few minutes later Jack arrives at the farm and asks to talk to Brad outside. He confronts him about knowing about Carly and then punches his brother. The two argue and then get into a full out brawl that is viewed happily by JJ and Parker. When the fight is broken up the two come in and apologize to the family.

Feeling bad for Brad, Carly seeks out Katie and tells her to hate her all she wants, but to stop blaming Brad. She explains to Katie that Brad was being caring not manipulative and had been there for her when she thought she was dying. She goes on to explain to Katie that Brad genuinely cares for her and that he was a good friend to both women throughout the entire ordeal. She leaves her to think about everything and heads for home.

After her talk with Carly, Katie heads out to the farm. When Jack says he is happy to see her she bursts his bubble by asking to go for a walk with Brad. The two go to Old Town and Katie tells Brad she isn't mad at him anymore.

When Carly returns home she finds a stinky jean jacket on her couch and threatens the intruder and is shocked and angered when Kit emerges from her bathroom. Kit explains she got a suspended sentence and that she came to see her and make amends. Carly is skeptical of Kit's apology and demands Kit leave. Kit makes a speech about people not being able to forgive and how mistakes cause loneliness. Kit's remarks make an impact on Carly who asks her to stay for dinner. Instead the two head out to Yo's where Kit explains she came to town to buy Metro, but doesn't have the money. Carly offers up her check to get the club up and running and the two agree to go into business together.

Lily leaves her family and heads out to meet Dusty. She shows up at the bar and kisses him in front of a surprised Emily. Chris returns and Emily takes him upstairs as Dusty looks on. Lily questions Dusty about his feelings for Emily and he simply replies, "That's over." Dusty in turn asks Lily about her marriage and she explains that is over as well. The two head up to Dusty's room.

Later, Meg returns to the farm followed by Craig who tells her he wants another chance at a family with her and their baby. He explains that he loves her and hopes that by being a good father may be someday she will love him the way he loves her. The only thing Craig asks is that Meg be really committed to him. The two go inside to join the family for the rest of dinner. Inside Jack and Sage discuss wishes with the wish bone, but Jack's attention is focused on Katie talking outside with Brad. As Sage, Faith, and Natalie sing a Thanksgiving Day song, Jack heads out and asks what is going on between Brad and Katie. He learns that Katie has forgiven Brad and stares as she walks away.
