Writers Resurrected Old Role

According to TV Guide, Joanna Johnson will make a return to The Bold and the Beautiful on January 4th. That date, of course, is subject to change in the event of pre-emptions.
Newer viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful may not remember Johnson, as it's been the better part of a decade since the actress made her last on-air appearance.
Johnson played Caroline Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful from 1987 to 1990. She also played Caroline's twin sister, Karen, for a three-year period beginning in 1991.
Viewers who do remember the actress and her work may be wondering how Caroline can possibly reappear - she died in 1990. It's actually quite simple: she'll appear as a ghost.
According to the report from TV Guide, Johnson was asked about returning through a veritable game of "whisper down the lane." B&B executive producer Bradley Bell asked the show's supervising producer who asked Susan Flannery (Stephanie), who happens to be a close friend of Johnson. It's not known if Johnson accepted through the same chain or if she opted for the more direct route of contacting Bell.
