Cain downgraded; Quinlan, McVicar sticking around

It would seem that The Bold and the Beautiful's show executives like to make casting changes in bulk. After all, it was just a few months ago when Hunter Tylo's (ex-Taylor Forrester) exit opened the floodgates for a series of major casting changes.
This time around, while there are again a handful of casting changes to report, the changes aren't quite earthshaking.
Mick Cain (CJ Garrison), who has been a part of the Bold and the Beautiful cast since 1998, has once again been taken off contract. Cain was a contract player from 1998 through January 2001. However, the actor remained off contract through the spring of last year. Now, just a year after being placed back on contract, Cain is again a recurring player. An insider insists that CJ will continue to be seen on-screen and that the move was not done as a way to phase out or recast the part.
On the flipside of the casting changes, both Daniel McVicar (Clarke Garrison) and Maeve Quinlan (Megan Conley) have both signed two-year contracts with the show. McVicar joined B&B in 1987, but took a leave between 1992 and 1996. Quinlan has been a part of the show since 1996.
