At a time when most soaps are actively trying to lure in a younger audience, The Bold and the Beautiful has dropped another teen star from its roster. Young star
Drew Tyler Bell (
Thomas Forrester) has been downgraded to recurring status.
According to rumors, Bell was dropped from contract status because the show currently has no on-screen love interests for his character. Both of Thomas' previous romances -
Amber and
Caitlin - are no longer part of the show's canvas.

The show is believed to be working to cast a love interest for Thomas in the near future. Exactly when, however, is not known.
Meanwhile, Bell's on-screen twin sisters,
Phoebe and
Steffy Forrester, are in the process of being recast.
As previously reported by

Bell, who is of no relation to B&B's head writer/executive producer Bradley Bell, joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in January 2004.
