January 2008 Heather Tom inks new B&B deal Heather Tom has inked a deal that will significantly extend her stay on The Bold and the Beautiful. The actress joined the show last year in a role that was supposed to come to an end after six months. Now, the former One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless star and the show have come to terms on a new multi-year contract.

January 2008 Sean Kanan sentenced for DUI Former daytime hunk Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe; ex-AJ Quartermaine, General Hospital) was sentenced to probation and alcohol education classes after entering a plea in a DUI case. For now, Kanan avoids any jail time. This all stems from an August 2007 arrest in California.

January 2008 Ian Buchanan back to B&B Emmy winner Ian Buchanan will reprise the role of James Warwick on The Bold and the Beautiful later this month. This will mark the actor's first appearance on the CBS soap since 2002. The actor has also appeared on General Hospital, Port Charles and All My Children.

February 2008 Lauren Koslow emphatically NOT fired Heads may be rolling in front of the camera and behind the scenes at Days of our Lives, but the reports of one actress' demise have been greatly exaggerated. Now, former B&B star Lauren Koslow (ex-Margo Lynley) is speaking out about her "firing" from the NBC soap.

February 2008 Emmy pre-screening nominations announced The pre-nominations for this year's Daytime Emmys have now been announced. From this list will come this year's winners. In a rule change, shows may now have up to three nominees in any given category.

February 2008 Susan Flannery talks about retirement Though it may be a few years off, multiple Emmy winner Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester) is talking about retiring. The actress marks 21 years with The Bold and the Beautiful next month. Flannery has expressed and interest in traveling and seeking out some new roles in a post-B&B life.

March 2008 Y&R planning comebacks and crossovers In an effort to appease fans turned off by recent lackluster storylines, The Young and the Restless is set to revisit some its past and reintroduce some familiar faces. The show is planning to bring back at least three former stars and continue its crossovers with sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful.

April 2008 Flannery caught in union flap Emmy winner Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester) has issued a statement denying reports that she was attempting to cause friction between two unions that represents daytime actors. Flannery expressed her dissatisfaction over recent benefits negotiated by American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA). AFTRA fired off claims that the Screen Actors Guild is trying to put it out of business.

May 2008 B&B's deVry makes stunning, dramatic exit William deVry (Storm Logan) has exited his role on The Bold and the Beautiful. The actor's controversial exit is not his first such exit from daytime television. deVry joined B&B in October 2006. He previously appeared on All My Children and Port Charles.

June 2008 Brandon Beemer begins a Bold post-DAYS era The Bold and the Beautiful continues to infuse new characters into its storylines, though based on past successes it is too soon to tell if viewers will care about these new faces. The latest addition is former DAYS hunk Brandon Beemer. Beemer has already reported to work, but will not hit the airwaves until July.

June 2008 Robin Riker brings Beth Logan back to B&B It's been seven years since Beth Logan was last spotted on The Bold and the Beautiful. During that time many fans have wondered where Beth has been when her children have needed her. Now, acting vet Robin Riker has been hired by B&B to help answer that very question. Riker first airs this month.

June 2008 Kanan sets the record straight on arrest warrant, MIA status from B&B An arrest warrant was recently issued for former daytime hunk Sean Kanan. A report on the warrant by a local TV station resulted in misinformation that has many B&B fans bitterly disappointed. Kanan's troubles stem for a DUI arrest last year.

June 2008 Antonio Sabato, Jr. returns to Port Charles Antonio Sabato, Jr. will return to Port Charles this month. His return brings to an end Jagger Cates's 13-year absence from the fictional New York town. Since last spotted by GH fans, Sabato has gone on to star on the primetime soap, Melrose Place. He also appeared briefly on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful. When Jagger returns, he won't be coming alone.

July 2008 Young B&B star leaves L.A. for part on Broadway It's a tale of two cities for The Bold and the Beautiful's MacKenzie Mauzy (Phoebe Forrester): Los Angeles and New York. The actress has been taken off contract so that she can pursue a role in the new Broadway musical, A Tale of Two Cities. Mauzy joined B&B in 2006 as one-half of a pair of identical twins.

July 2008 Kay Alden promoted to co-head writer at B&B Veteran soap opera writer Kay Alden has been promoted to the position of co-head writer with The Bold and the Beautiful. Alden has been part of the B&B writing team since 2007. Prior to that she spent more than three decades as a member of the writing team of The Young and the Restless.

August 2008 Eileen Davidson returns full-time to The Young and the Restless Ashley Abbott is coming home to Genoa City -- and it's not just for the holidays.Emmy-nominated Eileen Davidson returns to Y&R on a full-time basis at the end of September. Davidson originated the role of Ashley in 1982. For the past year-and-a-half she has appeared on the Y&R spinoff, The Bold and the Beautiful.

October 2008 B&B star steps behind the camera at GL Emmy-winning star of The Bold and the Beautiful, Susan Flannery, is headed to Springfield -- but viewers of the CBS soap will never seen her on-screen. Flannery will be directing an episode of Guiding Light at the invitation of the show's executive producer. Flannery previously observed GL's new production model.

October 2008 Antonio Sabato, Jr. to look for love -- on cable Former B&B heartthrob Antonio Sabato, Jr. (Dante Damiano) is tired of looking for love in all the wrong places. So he has decided to look someplace new -- cable television. Sabato will star in his own reality series sometime next year, following in the footsteps of other celebrities who've sought out love on TV.
