Ronn Moss dances with the stars Italian style

Viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful might not expect to see Ridge Forrester waltzing across the dancefloor, but that's exactly what his portrayer, Ronn Moss, is doing. Moss is currently competing in the Italian version of Dancing With the Stars.


Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester) is dancing with the stars -- but not in the way that you might think. The star of The Bold and the Beautiful is hoofing it up on the Italian version of the reality series, Ballando con le Stelle.


Moss and his partner, Sara Di Vaira, have survived six weeks of competition, having conquered styles that included the Tango, Paso Doble, and Salsa. So far in the competition, Moss has come in as high as third place.


In the sixth season, Ballando con le Stelle routinely draws more than five million viewers. In this season's premiere episode, more than seven million viewers tuned in during Moss's first performance, the Quick Step.


Moss isn't the only soap star to appear in the Italian series. Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe) appeared on the show in 2006.


Dancing With the Stars airs in more than 20 different countries. The American version of Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC, and the network seldom allows performers who are currently appearing on a rival network to compete.


In Italy, The Bold and the Beautiful is known simply as Beautiful.
