The Bold and the Beautiful's Aaron D. Spears sees his fair share of complicated romantic scenarios as the CBS soap's character Justin Barber, meaning he was fully prepared for his latest gig.
The Washington, DC, native is currently playing the recurring role of Leon on the fifth and final season of Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, a dramedy about sexy exes -- one of which happens to be Spears's alter ego on the Bravo series. As teasers for the season (which premiered last night) revealed, the daytime star plays the ex of Barbara (Retta), who just might get in the way of her relationship with Darrell (Malcolm-Jamal Warner).
Based on the Girlfriends' Guides book series by Vicki Iovine, the series -- Bravo's first original scripted program -- revolves around Abby McCarthy (Lisa Edelstein), a self-help author who finds solace in new friends and adventures as she faces an impending divorce.
Spears joined the cast of B&B in 2009 as a recurring player, which allowed him to play Days of our Lives' Commissioner Raines from 2016 to 2017. Late last year Spears was placed on contract with B&B. His other credits include Being Mary Jane, Greenleaf, Bones, and NCIS: Los Angeles.
