Wayne Brady (ex-Reese Buckingham) is set to play a "super soldier" in the CW superhero drama Black Lightning.

Trouble is brewing for the characters of the CW drama Black Lightning: The Bold and the Beautiful alum Wayne Brady (ex-Reese Buckingham) has been cast in a role that will shake up the canvas of the superhero series.

According to TV Line, Brady has taken on the role of Tyson "Gravedigger" Sykes, a member of the U.S. military from the World War II era. He became a "super soldier" due to secret experiments giving him superhuman strength, tactical genius, agility, and an expert in hand-to-hand combat. Skyes, who opted to reside in Markovia rather than return to the segregated U.S., has the main purpose of making a sovereign land for metahumans within Markovia, which leads him into direct conflict with the ASA and Black Lightning (Cress Williams).

Brady's episodes of Black Lightning are set to start airing in 2020, with fans being able to find him on the series Mondays at 9 PM EST on the CW.

Best known for the comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway? and host of the game show Let's Make a Deal, Wayne Brady took on the role of B&B's Reese in 2018. His daughter Maile Brady also appeared on the show as Tiffany.
