Soap alum and Player singer Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful) just dropped a new album called Lockdown Lover that features a new version of his 1978 hit, "Baby Come Back."

Former The Bold and the Beautiful star Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge Forrester) had made the most of the last several months by using his time at home to record and release a brand new album. Titled Lockdown Lover, the collection of songs is now available for download on iTunes.

"Since we were locked down for four months in Belgium, I was occupying my time with music on a borrowed guitar and [my wife] Devin suggested putting out a series of cover songs that I really loved and was inspired by," he tells Digital Journal of the inspiration behind his new album. "When I started doing this and editing music videos of myself to go with them, we discovered the fans were responding so positively and were asking to download this music. I also wrote an original song called, 'Dreaming In Color,' that was inspired by the pandemic and this became a duet with Belgium artist, Ella Luna who sings in French."

Moss is happy to report that Lockdown Lover also features a new version of "Baby Come Back," the 1978 song he originally recorded as part of the group Player.

"I've done my own versions of 'Baby Come Back' on previous solo albums, but I wanted to do this one with my band back home in America for sentimental reasons," he shares. "This version is closer to the original version done by Player in 1978 and features Cory Churko on a longer extended kickass guitar solo at the end."

He continues, "I really loved how the new version of 'Baby Come Back' came out and had my band in America send me video of their tracks and decided to edit a version of this song with a series of past moments of when our world was normal. So this video is more emotional and sentimental because it features flashbacks from my life before the pandemic along with us singing the song. Instead of 'Baby Come Back' being about a girl, it's about our world and wanting it to come back to a higher level of love and consciousness."

In addition to working on his new album, Moss shares that he is forging ahead with an Italian film called Surprise Trip, a project that first became public nearly a year ago via a Vimeo video tease, which can be viewed below. Based on a story written by Moss along with Tiziano Cavaliere and Pietro Genuardi, the film follows the actor as an overworked office worker on Wall Street who books a trip to Italy. The character inadvertently gets mixed up with the Italian mob and a woman whose family owns the villa he's staying at. The project also stars Paolo Sassanelli, Tot? Onnis, Fabio Cursio Giacobbe, Mayra Pietrocola, Pietro Genuardi and Giuliano Giuliani.

As soap fans know, Ronn Moss played the role of B&B's Ridge Forrester from 1987 to 2012. After leaving the CBS soap, he went on to star in Familie, Bruna in Beverly Hills, and The Bay.
