Brooke breaks off the kiss with Nick and they stare at each other. Nick says Brooke can't marry Ridge because it never works out when she tries, and her place is with Nick. Brooke tells him she is engaged to marry Ridge and they share a son, RJ. Nick offers to raise RJ and Hope as his own. Brooke reminds him that RJ is Ridge's child, not his. Nick says that everything they've ever wanted is there, all Brooke has to do is say she wants it and it's hers.

Nick says that things happen for a reason and they now share a son together. Brooke is visibly upset and tells Nick that she can't talk about this with him. She starts to leave, but Jack cries and she stops. Brooke walks to the crib, picks up Jack and quiets him down. Nick watches and says that he's never seen anything more beautiful than seeing her holding their son. They sit on the bed with Jack and Nick reminds Brooke that she shares a bond with Jack. He tells Brooke that he loves her and wants to share his life with her.

Brooke puts Jack down to sleep and Nick tells her again how things happen for a reason. He says he knows they were meant to be together and that she knows it too. He asks her permission to hold her and she shakes her head yes. He draws her into his embrace as they both look over each other's shoulders looking content.

Taylor breaks off her kiss with Rick and asks if she did something to make him think she wanted the kiss. Rick says no she didn't but he cares about her and has some feelings for her. He begins to leave and then turns, grins, and giggles. Taylor laughs and asks him what his Cheshire grin is about. He tells her it's about them and his urge to kiss her again.

Rick jokes with Taylor about having her analyze why he wants to kiss her. Taylor laughs and says she knows he is trying to make her feel better, but wants to know why he is there. Taylor smiles as Rick lays the flattery on thick. He says it doesn't warrant him kissing her but he should be disciplined, punished; she should feel free to slap him at any time on any cheek, any one of the four will do. Taylor laughs and tells him that was weird. Rick says to think about what he said to her as she has a lot to offer and he doesn't want any of it to go to waste. He kisses Taylor's cheek, says goodnight, and leaves.

In Eric's office, Eric and Donna have just made love on his couch. They talk about their deception of Stephanie as the phone rings. Eric answers it; it's security alerting him to Stephanie's arrival. Eric convinces a skeptical Donna that they can put on a show for Stephanie to convince her that they really are over. They scramble and get dressed as Stephanie gets off the elevator and exchanges small talk with a maintenance man.

Stephanie overhears Eric yelling at Donna to get all of her stuff out of Forrester Creations or he's going to burn it. Donna begs and pleads with him to listen but he tells her that Stephanie was right about Donna, she's not a sex addict, it's just a stupid excuse so she can jump into bed with every man she meets.

Stephanie continues to eavesdrop outside Eric's door as Eric shoves a box of Donna's belongings from her office into her hands and tells her to get out. Donna begs and pleads with Eric to listen to her but he says he's done listening to her lies; he's back with Stephanie where he belongs. Stephanie hides around the corner as Eric opens the door, turns and tells Donna it's over and she had better not be there when he gets back. Eric storms off as Stephanie rounds the corner and walks into Eric's office. Donna turns around, sees Stephanie standing there and bitterly asks her what she wants. Stephanie says that it's her lucky day; she got to see that Donna and Eric are over with her own eyes.

Donna tells Stephanie now is not a good time. Stephanie says she overheard the argument and needed to see with her own eyes that things were over between them. She and Donna exchange some insults and Stephanie says she thought Donna was incapable of having genuine feelings for anyone, but she realizes now Donna is. Stephanie taunts Donna about her DNA and how neither she nor her sister will ever learn. Stephanie says she has fought for her family and to keep them away from the Logans her entire life and she's glad to finally be rid of them. Donna begins to threaten Stephanie when Eric walks in and tells her to stop as he won't have her speaking to his wife that way.

Donna tries to plead with Eric but he stops her. Eric tells her that a wonderful woman has been wronged and that he is going to do everything he can to protect the love of his love for whatever remainder of time he has left. He walks past Donna to Stephanie's side as Stephanie thanks him for what he said. Stephanie gives Donna the boot and Eric backs her up. A tearful Donna leaves as Eric hugs Stephanie.

At home with his three sisters, Storm told them that his therapy is helping him.

Storm admitted that he is overwhelmed with the guilt of having shot Stephanie. He also admitted that he had the urge to go to the police to tell them the truth. Storm, however, promised that he would not go to the police because he valued his freedom too much. Storm elected to stay in L.A. and continue the therapy rather than travel to Paris as their father, Stephen, had suggested. Stephen had wanted Storm to have his therapy with a famous therapist in Paris. Storm told his sisters that he felt more comfortable in L.A. with them. Meanwhile, Brooke continued to think about the fact that Nick asked her to return to him and become a mother to baby Jack. Donna noticed that Brooke's mind was elsewhere.

When Storm left, Katie and Brooke warned Donna that she needed to really end her relationship with Eric immediately. Brooke and Katie warned that Donna and Eric could slip up and that that Stephanie could find out that they were still together. Brooke and Katie pled with Donna for Storm's sake to break it off with Eric until it was safe to resume their relationship.

Meanwhile at Forrester Creations, Ridge, Thorne, and Felicia arrived for a meeting. They gave their consolation to Eric over his breakup with Donna. Donna called Eric on his cell phone and asked him to meet her immediately. Eric made up a vague excuse that he had to leave the office for business reasons.

When Eric left, Ridge asked Stephanie what was really going on with Eric. Ridge didn't understand why Eric would have ended his relationship with Donna because he loved her so deeply. Ridge told Stephanie that she should not be disappointed if Eric does not warm up to her. Ridge warned Stephanie that Eric was very in love with Donna and it could be a while before he was over her. Stephanie assured Ridge that Eric and Donna's relationship was really over and that she saw evidence of that herself. Later Brooke arrived at Forrester Creations, late for the meeting. When Stephanie was alone with Brooke, she questioned if Donna would really stay away from Eric. Stephanie indicated she was happy that Donna seemed to be keeping her end of the deal and ended her relationship with Eric. Stephanie threatened Brooke that if Donna interfered with her marriage, she would go to the police and inform them that it was Storm who shot her.

At their secret meeting place, Donna told Eric of her concerns of Stephanie finding out about their relationship. Eric had the same concerns but told Donna that he did not want to give her up. Eric promised Donna that soon they could be together. As they made love, at the Forrester Creations office, Stephanie noticed that Eric had been gone from the office for quite some time and began to wonder where he was. Stephanie called the security office. They did not know where Eric had gone. Stephanie continued to wonder where Eric was.

Ridge walks into Brooke's office and kisses her. He shows her some material he got in for her wedding dress and wants to talk about her dress, but Brooke is reluctant. Brooke says something has happened and tells Ridge the latest news about Taylor and Nick, and that things are now turned upside down. Ridge corrects her and says that things are upside down for Nick and Taylor but not for them.

Ridge says he's surprised that Taylor would leave the baby as it's not like her to do that, but guesses she must have had a good reason. Brooke says she is worried about the baby and who will be a mother to him now. Ridge tells Brooke to let Nick and Taylor worry about it, as it is not their problem. As Katie walks in, Brooke asks Ridge if they can swing by on their way home to check on the baby. Ridge can't believe Brooke asked that of him and wants to know if she's heard a word he said.

Ridge reminds Brooke that they shouldn't be involved. Brooke says she's just worried about Jack not having a mother. He asks Brooke if she thinks of herself as Jack's mother but before she answers Katie, who hasn't been noticed, interrupts by knocking and announcing herself. Ridge's phone rings and he's called to the cutting room so he leaves the office, inquiring where Thorne is when he needs him.

Katie asks Brooke what she is doing, as Brooke has been in love with Ridge forever and she is going to blow things with him if she keeps it up. Brooke tells Katie that she is being overdramatic. Brooke tells Katie about Taylor's leaving and her concern for Jack not having a mother around, and Katie realizes that is exactly what Nick wants.

Nick is playing with Jack on the couch when the doorbell rings; it's Bridget. Bridget says she stopped to check up on Taylor and Nick informs her that Taylor has moved out. Bridget says she's surprised Taylor left the baby with Nick. Nick tells her that things happen for a reason. Nick explains to Bridget why Taylor left, and Bridget's eyes open wide when Nick tells her he's still in love with Brooke. She asks him if Brooke knows and he says yes. Bridget reminds Nick of Brooke and Ridge's relationship and their bond with RJ. Bridget asks Nick if he proposed to Brooke and Nick tells her he did in a roundabout way. She asks what Brooke said and Nick replies that Brooke hasn't answered yet.

Bridget looks uncomfortable as she tells Nick that it is not fun to hear him confess how he feels about her mother, or to see him with Jack. She asks him if he ever thinks about what things would be like had Nicole lived and if he ever even thinks about her. Nick says he does every day and they share a tender moment as he hugs Bridget. She says he looks like he could use a friend and he jokes and asks if she's offering. Bridget says she'll always be there for him and Jack. Nick says he will always think of Bridget as more than a friend.

Katie tells Brooke she cannot just go and take care of Jack as she has work, Ridge, Hope, and RJ to take care of. Brooke says she'll always find time, because Jack is her son and she loves him. Katie asks if she loves Nick too and Brooke doesn't answer. Katie tells Brooke it's what she always does, acts impulsively without regard for the consequences. Brooke says it's about love and when Katie falls in love one day, she will understand. Katie says she's tired of Brooke and Donna assuming she's never been in love-it's condescending. Brooke tells Katie that Nick wants her back and Katie asks if she answered. Brooke says she didn't and Katie yells at her for leaving something so big hanging. Katie tells Brooke to think it through, because this could be her last chance with Ridge and it's a huge decision. Quietly, Brooke says she needs to speak with Nick and leaves.

Katie finishes a business call as Bridget walks in and inquires as to where Brooke is. Katie tells her Brooke had to leave. Bridget and Katie exchange pleasantries and Katie invites Bridget to lunch, but Bridget is lost in her thoughts and doesn't hear Katie. Katie asks her what is wrong because Bridget looks upset. Bridget says she's worried Brooke will make a huge mistake and Katie asks if it's about Nick. Bridget realizes Brooke confided in Katie and thinks Katie encouraged Brooke to go back to Nick. Bridget looks relieved when Katie reassures her she didn't and that she believes Brooke's future is with Ridge.

Nick walks to the patio doors and reminisces about his last conversation with Brooke. He is pulled back to the present when his doorbell rings and he opens it to find Brooke standing there. Nick smiles as he asks if it's the Good News Gang or the Bad News Bears but instead of answering, Brooke asks how they are doing. Brooke asks if he's heard from Taylor, and Nick says she called to ask about Jack and sounded better. Nick says he wants to give Jack what he didn't have growing up-a stable loving home without conditions, and two parents who love each other. He tells Brooke he loves her and that she is Jack's mother. He says he hopes she's there to tell him she wants to be with him because if she doesn't, there is no way she can convince him she doesn't love him as much as he loves her. Brooke says she has searched her heart and soul and made a decision, she knows what she has to do.

Bridget visits Nick and wonders aloud to Nick and later to Katie what might have been if Nick and Bridget's daughter, Nicole, had lived. Katie plays matchmaker and tries to rekindle romance for Bridget and Nick by encouraging Bridget to go after her ex-husband, Nick. Katie's motive is to keep Brooke and Ridge together. Bridget agrees she still has feelings for Nick, and admits to feeling a strange attachment to Baby Jack. She reasons that it might be due to her role in the egg mix-up.

The Brooke marry-go-round continues as Brooke visits Nick to tell him she is going to marry Ridge, and begs Nick to love her enough to let her go. They kiss and paw one another, but Nick says he does love her enough to let her go-if that's what she really wants. He asks, "Is that what you really want?" Brooke cries, and admits it isn't what she wants. Kissing and hugging ensues.

Donna and Eric celebrate Valentine's Day with diamond earrings for her and a honey of a gift for Eric. Donna presents him with a bear full of honey in honor of her "Honey Bear" nickname for him. She says they'll be having fun with the honey. After a bout of honey-do lovemaking, Eric says he is grateful to have found her at his age, and Donna notes that he has plenty of energy and stamina.

At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie wonders aloud to Ridge if Eric has truly broken up with Donna. Ridge tells his mom she can't be so suspicious of Eric if she wants to keep him. Steph is more than a little suspicious. She's found Eric's stash of Viagra and shows the bottle to Ridge. Stephanie notes that he's not popping the pills for her benefit.

At Nick's house, Brooke asks Nick if he loves her enough to please let her go. Nick says that he understands her position and that Ridge isn't right for her, but he does love her enough to let her go if that is what Brooke wants. Crying, Brooke tells him no and they fall into a passionate kiss. Brooke breaks off the kiss and tells Nick they can't. Nick says maybe not today but it's going to happen and they both know it. Brooke grabs her purse and runs out the door.

Nick is playing with Jack when the doorbell rings; it's Bridget. Bridget says she had a long break at the hospital so she thought she'd swing by and see how things were. She takes Jack and sends Nick off to heat up a bottle as she plays with the baby.

After feeding the baby, Bridget and Nick are playing with Jack on the couch. Bridget says she feels connected to both Jack and Nick and that Jack is lucky to have Nick as a father. Bridget puts the baby down for a nap and then asks Nick how things went with her mother. Nick tells Bridget what happened with Brooke but says it's not over between them-not even close. Bridget looks uncomfortable.

Nick tells Bridget that he has to do what is right for the boy. He says that he knows Brooke has loved Jack since she found out she was his biological mother, and he knows she'll come around and they'll raise him together. Bridget walks over to him, holds his arm and tells him he'll be a wonderful father and he'll do an amazing job raising him. Nick smiles down at her, puts his arm around her and tells her she's special. Bridget glows with happiness when she looks down at Jack and then back up at Nick.

In the Forrester Mansion, Stephanie is holding Eric's prescription for Viagra. She tells Ridge she cannot believe Eric is lying to her and still sleeping with Donna. She says that Eric has played her for a fool and now Donna will learn what it's like to lose someone she loves. Ridge says just because Eric is missing one pill doesn't mean he's still with Donna. Stephanie laughs and asks what else it could mean because he's certainly not getting it on with her.

The phone rings and Stephanie answers it; it's Rocky, the Private Investigator she hired. Rocky says he found Eric at an apartment on the other side of town. Stephanie hangs up and repeats her phone conversation to Ridge. Ridge tells Stephanie it's going to be painful and Stephanie agrees it will be, but not as painful as it will be for Donna.

At Brooke's house, a very happy Storm greets Katie. Katie asks why he's so happy and he says it's because he's grateful for every moment of his freedom, which he has thanks to Stephanie. Storm walks away as Katie watches him uncomfortably.

Storm and Katie are sitting on the couch reading when Brooke walks in. Storm inquires if she's okay, as she looks tired. Brooke assures him she is fine, just that it's been a long day. Katie reiterates what Brooke said and tells Storm things are fine. He takes their word for it and says he has to leave for another therapy appointment. He thanks his sisters for helping him and leaves. Katie waits until the door closes and tells Brooke she looks like hell and then asks how things went with Nick. Brooke says that her future is with Ridge and the kids. Katie says Brooke did the right thing but Brooke isn't convinced. She tells Katie she is worried about Nick and Jack being alone and not having anyone there to help. Katie reassures Brooke that Nick will have all the help he needs, just not from Brooke. Brooke asks what Katie means and Katie tells her that Nick has a lot of people who love and care about him and the baby, especially Jackie.

Brooke asks Katie if she thinks Storm is okay and Katie says he seems fine. They both express concern that his freedom hinges on Stephanie. Brooke asks where Donna is and Katie says she has no idea but she hopes for Storm's sake, Donna's not with Eric. Katie says that Donna is selfish being with Eric when it's Storm's life at sake. Brooke says angrily that Donna had better not slip up.

At their hideaway, Donna and Eric are in bed making small talk. Eric is pleased that he and Donna are beating Stephanie at her own game. They fall into a kiss and start making love.

Donna tells Eric how much she loves him. She grabs Eric's palm and pretends she's a Palm Reader and predicts they'll be in love for a very, very long time, with Stephanie out of the picture. She says she is proud to be with Eric, loves him very much and wants to shout it from the rooftop. Eric says that once their game is done, he will join her in shouting their love for one another.

Eric and Donna are napping when Stephanie starts banging on the door, announcing herself and asking them to open up. Donna puts on a robe and opens the door and asks what Stephanie wants. Stephanie says she knows Eric is there and searches Donna's apartment. Stephanie demands Donna tell her the truth and Donna tells her to leave. Stephanie sees Donna looking nervously at the window and so she turns around and tries to open it. Outside the window, a naked Eric stands nervously on the ledge, clutching his clothes.
