Bo and Hope's plan to elope is halted by family and labor pains. Dr. Rolf takes a job at the hospital posing as nurse "Rolfina" as part of the plan to switch babies. Abe and Lexie finally agree to adopt Marlo's baby. After Marlo sneaks out of the secret room, she also goes into labor. Chloe has a sleepover at Belle's as Nancy and Marlena bond with their daughters. Nancy defends Chloe to Philip. Mimi's appearance and behavior worsen as Chloe is certain that Mimi is in big trouble and decides to find out more about the situation. Philip and Chloe both protest too much about their dislike for each other. Victor orders Rex to finish off Nicole, but Rex has questions about her past. Belle seeks Marlena's comfort after her "date" with Sean. Sean is confused, and later finds Belle and apologizes to her. Bo tells Sean and Caroline that he plans to go to Ireland to research the Brady and DiMera connection. Lexie and Abe learn about the mystery of baby John's paternity. Craig comforts Chloe, and Craig presses Nancy for the identity of Chloe's father. Brady has a run in with Craig and Nancy, and John and Marlena argue over his past. Marlena is upset and stunned when John tells her he remembers being intimate with Princess Gina. The plan to get Sami back to Salem escalates to a dangerous breaking point as Brandon has almost all the evidence he needs from Angela to nail Kate and Lucas. Nicole gets Victor's attention. Austin catches Sami in a lie. Hattie is fired from her job, and seriously considers Bart's offer for the "Dr. Marlena" makeover. Stefano begins yet another plan to use Hattie as the wedge to drive Marlena and John apart and punish Marlena for not choosing him as her lover. Nancy tries to spice up the Dr. Marlena show to drive up the ratings. John commits himself to Marlena and their unending love.

Austin tells Roman that Sami is in Rome with Brandon investigating Franco's murder. Greta learns she is to become a very wealthy princess, and then decides to accompany Austin to Rome to find Sami. Lucas saves Sami's life when she almost dies from the herbs, and is furious that Kate and Victor for going too far with their scheme. Brandon tells Sami that Angela has the tape that incriminates Kate in Franco's murder, may have say "I do" to get the evidence. Roman rescues Hattie, and afterwards she decides to go through with her transformation. Sean Sr.'s high level connection to the Irish "clan" is revealed, when Bo is reluctant to cancel his trip to Ireland to investigate the DiMera and Brady past. . Stefano remembers a past injustice involving the Brady's. Philip and Chloe kiss and draw closer. Mimi tells Belle about the bet. Sean & Philip regret their actions and consider coming clean to Chloe, but it may be too late as Jason and Jan prepare to spill the beans. Nancy is very upset to hear Craig and Nancy talking about her, and that Chloe is confiding in Craig and not her.

Brandon may be in deeper than he thinks, as Angela suspects he may have ulterior motives to saying "I do." Greta learns the conditions of her inheritance and royalty and seeks Austin's help in Paris to uncover the mystery. Lucas, Kate and Victor continue their plan to prevent Brandon and Sami from obtaining the evidence they need to incriminate them all. Nicole has Victor's attention. Marlena fires Nancy, and then Nancy pitches the producer to replace Marlena. Hattie prepares to take over Marlena's life, and Stefano is delighted with his new scheme. Hope is concerned with John's attention to baby John, and then tells Julie she fears that maybe she and John may have been together when she was Princess Gina. John tells Marlena that he knows who the father of Hope's baby is. Brady lashes out at John and Marlena, accuses them of killing Isabella. Belle is devastated to learn Sean and Philip's bet; but their efforts are in vain as Chloe hears the awful truth first from Jan and friends.

Charles pushes both Greta and then Austin through a mysterious door, laughing hysterically. Hope and Lexie are warned by the doctor to watch J.T.'s breathing closely. Both women note that John spends a great deal of time with the baby. Bo tells Abe not to mention his trip to Lexie (because of Stefano). Abe is surprised Bo does not want to stay and bond with the baby. John and Brady argue, and Brady storms out. Belle, Philip, Mimi and Shawn go to the Lane home to try to explain, but they are too late, as Nancy tells them Chloe has run away. Chloe is wandering around the docks, and begins to sing. She hears a noise, asking who it is. John confesses to a shocked Marlena that he slept with Hope, and that his son is being raised in the Brady home.

Marlena and John are at odds with the problems in their life. Marlena feels Brady is a threat to their family. Belle and Brady bond and she takes his side against Marlena. Chloe and Nancy reconcile Philip wins back Chloe's trust. Lucas is enraged at the length's Kate and Victor have taken to remove Sami's threats against them. Nicole plots against Victor. Nancy is convinced she can replace Marlena as talk show host. Roman gets close with Hattie, and Stefano continues with his plan to switch Hattie with Marlena. John tries to settle his differences with Brady. Brandon saves Sami from certain death. Austin and Greta continue to battle their demons via their virtual reality test. Sean tries to throw Bo off track as he prepares to leave for Ireland.

Marlena comes face to face with Hattie and remembers Sam. Brady points out Marlena's shortcomings to John. Belle fights with Marlena over Brady. Brady threatens Marlena. Belle confides in Sean about Brady. Hope suspects that John knows the real father of baby John. Marlena is cold to Hope, and just can't seem to forgive John for his past life and betrayal. Philip serenades Chloe. Chloe seeks her mother's advice. Nicole tells Roman and Abe her story about Franco's murder. Brandon saves Sami and openly accuses Victor and Kate for her condition. Angela begins to realize Brandon's love for Sami. Victor is disgusted with Kate's focus on marriage under the circumstances. Greta and Austin's test continues with a special message from Mrs. H. Marlena and John call a truce, but their lovemaking is interrupted by baby John's medical emergency. Brady challenges Belle to a dare at the train trestle. In Ireland, Bo's attack is witnessed by the unlikely and sudden appearance of Jennifer Horton Deveraux.

Bo is held captive in Ireland, while Hope, Sean and friends and family deal with Johnny's medical emergency. Jennifer tries to help Bo without revealing her identity. Brady saves Belle's life, but Marlena is unforgiving of his involvement. Kate tries unsuccessfully to manipulate Angela against Brandon. Victor demands Lucas give Sami custody of Will. Kate's desperation, anger, and disgust with Victor finally pushes him to admit his undying love for her. Nicole manipulates Lucas and Roman regarding the facts surrounding Franco's murder. Hope is told what should be her worst nightmare as the life of a child is lost. Marlena is overcome by John's apparent grief over Johnny and Belle's critical medical condition. Angela prepares for her trip to America and walk down the aisle with Brandon.

Johnny has a miraculous recovery, and John seriously considers telling Hope that his is the baby's father against Marlena's wishes. Belle's out of immediate danger, but still in an induced coma. Philip and Chloe draw closer despite Nancy's warnings. Brandon and Sami try to get Angela to surrender the tape before leaving for Salem, but Angela is not cooperating. Victor makes arrangements to clear himself of Kate and Lucas's crimes. Marlena hires Roman to investigate Brady placing her marriage to John in jeopardy. Belle's friends rally at the hospital to celebrate her 16th birthday. Nicole blackmails Lucas. John gains some insight into Brady's pain and torment. Roman tells Marlena that he has incriminating evidence against Brady. Isaac and JT are baptized at the hospital. Bo finally calls Hope, but her anger and hurt force her from telling him about JT's condition. In order to save Bo, Jennifer finally reveals her identity to him.

Kate learns that Nicole knows the truth about Franco's murder. Brady goes to Grandpa Victor for advice. John and Marlena continue to be at odds over Roman's investigation of Brady as a suspect in Belle's accident. Sami and Brandon tell Angela about Franco's murder and Kate & Lucas's plot to frame her. Chloe and Brady connect. Austin and Greta defeat Curtis's evil in their virtual reality test. Sami kisses Brandon and later tells Roman about their progress in Franco's murder investigation while in Italy. Salemites dine out at Tuscany's with some nasty repercussions; Marlena sets up Brady while occupying John's attention, Victor reprimands Nicole for her behavior toward Fay, Hattie continues her education to become Dr. Marlena, and Brady's "trick or treat" for Marlena pushes John and Roman to tangle.

Roman arrests John and Brady after a brawl at Tuscany's. Sami tries to manipulate Angela to turn over the tape so Brandon can avoid marrying her, but Mr. Maroni has plans of his own for Brandon and his future with his daughter and the mob. Hattie learns more about Roman's former life with Marlena. Victor bails out John and Brady. John apologizes to Roman for his "mercenary" behavior. Roman tells Marlena that he still has and always will have feelings for her. Marlena continues with her accusations against Brady, and is in a state of emotional confusion about her future with John. Alice remembers all the "days of her life" as well as those of friends and loved ones. Nicole makes a serious play for Victor, and he seems to enjoy every moment of the attention. Hope learns that Bo is not the father of her baby. Jennifer and Bo escape, but the Irish Mafia and Stefano's people are hot on their trail. As Hope decides to leave Salem thinking Stefano is JT's daddy, an anxious John accidentally reveals to a horrified Hope that he is baby John's biological father.

Victor is exhilarated by his return to manhood compliments of Nicole and considers leaving Kate for his young conquest. Philip overhears Kate and Lucas discussing their financial security if something should happen to Victor. Nicole finally spills the beans and tells Lucas that Kate paid her 5 million dollars to marry him so he could get custody of Will. A number of Salemites seem to have Kate right where they want her. Hope taunts John about their past sexual encounter that produced JT, and forbids him to ever tell Bo the truth as it could ruin everyone's happiness. Chloe tries to help an injured Brady as he continues to evade the law. Roman comforts Marlena while John tends to his injured and fugitive son, and continues to keep his whereabouts a secret from everyone. Belle awakens with no recollection of the accident. Bo and Jen meet danger on the high seas as they head for safe harbor. Brandon goes wild and attacks Abe when he sees Fay with him at the diner. Angela puts Brandon and Sami to the test that they fail when caught red-handed trying to steal the tape before Brandon is forced to marry Angela.

Bo and Jennifer bury a friend or foe at sea and then deal with another life-threatening emergency. Marlena loses her cool with everyone. Brady becomes a fugitive with Roman, Abe and John on his trail. Belle can't remember anything about the accident. Nancy's tough love act as substitute host for the Dr. Marlena's show makes a big hit in the ratings, and she can't wait to tell the entire hospital of her new found success. Hattie undergoes plastic surgery and has a disturbing encounter with Marlena. Belle is released from the hospital. At Thanksgiving dinner, Philip blasts Victor about why he hasn't married Kate and his insensitivity toward her. Brandon is forced to make love to Angela, as Sami and Nicole work on Lucas.

Belle remembers that Brady saved her life, but not in time, as Abe shoots Brady in what he thought was self-defense. Marlena is overcome by Belle's news and that Brady is in the hospital and may be paralyzed. Abe thinks history is repeating itself, and can't forgive himself, while somehow Marlena still thinks Belle may be covering for Brady. Lexie comforts Abe with prayer. Bo, Jen and Abby are rescued at sea, and meet up with Doug and Julie as they all prepare to return to Salem. Victor and Kate make love, but Victor can't stop thinking about Nicole who Kate saw leave his bedroom. Hope plans her wedding. Brandon makes love to Angela to get her to keep her end of the bargain. Kate and Vincent see Sami and Brandon together as he is professing his love for her. Jason, Jan and Mimi make Philip think the worst of Sean and Chloe. Austin and Greta prepare to return to Salem. Belle and Brady bond as Marlena's efforts to talk to an angry and hurt John are ignored.

Marlena confides in Maggie and just about goes over the emotional edge this week after getting the cold shoulder and anger from both John and Belle over the entire tragedy with Brady. Nancy takes over Marlena's show to Chloe's embarrassment. Julie, Doug, Bo, Jennifer and Abby come home to Salem and the Horton clan. John makes amends with Abe, but is out to get Roman. After an emotional encounter with Nicole and Brandon over the truth about her affair with Abe, Faye seeks Abe's help with Brandon. Stefano is concerned over Lexie's inquiries about Marlo. Nicole and Victor play hanky panky under Kate's nose. Chloe's gets her revenge on Jan and Mimi. Sean and Belle have a special moment. Hattie is looking more and more like "Doc." Hope learns more about her past as Princess Gina and then tells Bo that she knows that he is not J.T.'s father.

John forgives Marlena and tells her that he still loves her, but they have to work out their problems. Marlena can't seem to forgive herself. Bo is shocked to learn that Hope knows he is not JT's biological father. Abe tells Lexie about his affair with Faye, as Brandon tells Sami the same secret. Austin and Greta continue fighting off their "virtual" demons. Bo is suspicious of John's attachment to JT. Hope takes control and stops John "dead in his tracks" from telling Bo the truth about JT. John blames Marlena for promising Hope to keep JT's birth rite a secret from Bo. Belle and Sean disagree with Chloe's style of "don't get mad, get even" philosophy towards Jan and Mimi. Hattie is transformed into a replica of Marlena, all to Stefano's delight. Brady takes Victor's advice regarding therapy.

Brady's arrival home accentuates Marlena's guilt over the accident and decides that leaving the house will help Brady heal faster. Vincent has Kate and Victor where he wants them. Chloe gets her revenge on Mimi, but puts Nancy life in jeopardy. Maggie hosts a grand engagement/bachelor party for Bo and Hope at Tuscany in real old-fashioned Brady/Horton style. Maggie convinces John and Marlena to make an appearance, which seems to cause more hurt than joy. John tells Roman to stay out of his life and away from his wife. Belle forsakes fun with the gang to stay with Brady. Brandon is curious about Jennifer, and Alice warns her to stay away from him. Alice takes over the Horton tradition for the hospital Christmas story. Nicole gives Lucas divorce papers for Christmas; as Sami prepares a victory celebration. Lucas has his own plans with Will.

The Hortons celebrate another Christmas together. After a number of unusual pre-wedding incidents, Bo and Hope finally say "I do" officially for the third time at a beautiful ceremony with family and friends. The reception is packed with all kinds of activity: Bo & Hope's formal first dance, Brady men dancing to Irish classics, good news of Brady's recovering the use of his legs. John and Marlena struggle to keep their marriage and family together, Hope pleading with John to keep their secret from Bo, and Bo and Jennifer's verbal attacks of anger against Marlena!!!. Marlena is close to an emotional breakdown, and despite Nancy's plea, Mimi and Jan are determined to ruin Chloe, as she and Philip draw closer at the pond. Austin fights his final challenge for Greta in their "virtual reality" arena. Sami loses control of the tape as Angela sides with Vincent. Faye warns Brandon to stop his vendetta against Abe.
