Days of our Lives executive producer Ken Corday would like to bring Billie Reed back to the show's canvas, but he seems to be having a hard time finding an actress to play the part.
Though it has been confirmed that Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed) is in talks with Days of our Lives execs to return to the show, other work commitments may make it impossible for her to return to the show. As previously reported last week by soapcentral.com, Rinna is in talks to host a talk show on the SoapNet cable channel. Her workload on the talk show could limit the amount of time she could spend at DAYS - and a show insider states that DAYS does not want to have Billie return only on special occasions.
If Rinna falls through, another familiar face - Krista Allen - could be on tap to play Billie. Allen stepped into the role in 1996 after Rinna exited the show. Allen, however, has previously stated that a return to daytime television is not in her plans.
Corday refuses to say if plans to bring back Billie would be scrapped if both Rinna and Allen are unable to return.
