DAYS Extends Inquiry to Nichols

There's no official word yet, but
Stephen Nichols (ex
Stefan Cassadine,
General Hospital) could very well be returning to Days of our Lives.
According to at least one DAYS insider, show execs contract Nichols' agent to see if Nichols would be interested in discussing a possible return. For his part, Nichols has not ruled out a return to the fictional town of Salem.
Nichols left General Hospital on January 16th after a five-and-a-half-year run on the show. Nichols explained that he left the show because he felt his character was "not being utilized."
It had been rumored that Nichols might join the cast of CBS's As The World Turns. Nichols' former co-star,
Mary Beth Evans (ex Kayla Brady; ex
Katherine Bell, General Hospital). Evans currently plays the recurring role of
Sierra Montgomery on ATWT.
Now that he's out of daytime - at least for now - Nichols has been actively seeking other television, stage and film projects.
