Days of our Lives fans now have a new watch to catch up on the trials and tribulations of the residents of Salem. In addition to its daily broadcasts on NBC and primetime rebroadcasts on the Disney-owned SOAPnet, this week, NBC has started posting full episodes of Days of our Lives on its web site.

"NBC.com is pleased to add Days of our Lives to the great line-up of shows available for streaming," Vivi Zigler, President, NBC Universal Digital Entertainment, said in a statement. "DAYS has such great fans -- now they can watch every episode again online!"

"Days of our Lives has had such a long, rich history with NBC and our fans. It's wonderful that this new platform will both offer our current fans a whole new way to watch episodes they may have missed and attract new, young viewers to the show," said Ken Corday, executive producer of Days of our Lives.

New episodes will be posted at 3:00a.m. Eastern the day after its original broadcast. An original episode airing on NBC on Monday, August 10, for example, would be available for online viewing at 3:00am on Tuesday, August 11.

All episodes will be available for viewing for up to 16 days after the episode's original airdate.

This is not the first time that Days of our Lives has been available for online viewing. In 2003, Sony launched the Soap City website that allowed soap fans to pay a fee to download episodes of some of their favorite soaps. The site proved to be a little before its time and the model was discontinued several years later.

CBS offers online viewing for all four of its soap operas. ABC currently allows only General Hospital fans to catch up from their computers.

Soap fans also have the option to read soapcentral.com's comprehensive, daily recaps for all eight soaps.
