Tuesday, October 20, marked James Read's final airdate as baddie Salemite Clyde Weston, bringing his nearly year-and-a-half run as the treacherous character to an end.

"Clyde's Last Ride," the actor tweeted during his final episode. "Had a fabulous time in Salem -- thank you for watching and for all your kind words and support! Rock on, Days!"

Shortly after Read posted his farewell message, Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) responded with, "You and your talent are very missed my friend."

Read stepped into the role of Ben's (Robert Scott Wilson) dad in June of 2014. His time in Salem marked the first time the actor starred on an American soap.
