DAYS' Peter Reckell shares details about his Fantasticks return

Days of our Lives' Peter Reckell (ex-Bo Brady) opens up about heading back to The Fantasticks 35 years after his original run.

Days of our Lives' Peter Reckell (ex-Bo Brady) is making a historic return to the classic musical The Fantasticks this fall, and he couldn't be more thrilled to be back 35 years after his original run.

"I was just hanging out here in Nashville, and they said, ‘Hey, do you want to come and do this? We know you've done it before,'" Reckell tells Soap Opera Digest. "Kelly [Moneymaker, my wife] and I talked about it and I was like, ‘Why the heck not? The universe sort of presented it to you for some reason, so let's do it.' So it's a three-week performance and I think by the end of my life, I'll probably do all the main roles in this show. When I started out, I did a couple of weeks as The Mute and then I did two weeks of The Boy when the kid who was doing it at the time took his vacation, and now I guess they're just in transition again, so they're having somebody fill in as El Gallo while they're getting a new guy."

Tickets to The Fantasticks starring Reckell are priced at $76.50 and can be purchased by calling the box office at (212) 921-7862, visiting The Theater Center box office, or by logging onto www.Ticketmaster.com. A limited number of premium front row seats for each performance are also available and are priced at $126.50.

"This is what I started out doing -- I'm kind of a song and dance man," the actor says of his three-week run this fall. "So it's like my roots coming back."
