She's baaaaaaack! Returning Days of our Lives star Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) shares a teaser video of one of her first new Salem scripts.

Long gone but never forgotten Days of our Lives star Kate Mansi is officially back to work as Abigail Deveraux.

The actress, who is reprising her role as Jennifer Horton's daughter for a short time due to current portrayer Marci Miller's decision to leave, took to social media to share the exciting news.

She posted a boomerang video of herself holding what appears to be a DAYS script along with the caption: "Something familiar this way comes..."

Word of Mansi's return to the NBC soap broke back in May. It came in tandem with the stunning news that Miller -- who took on the role of Abigail after Mansi's departure in 2016 -- had decided to exit DAYS just a little over a year into her run. Miller's shocking exit news was a major surprise, as not only did the actress quickly become a fan favorite, but she also earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actress for her work on the show.

Mansi's return to the role she originally took on in 2011 will reportedly be short-lived. At this time, it's unclear if the NBC soap opera is searching for a permanent replacement for the character or if the powers that be have asked Mansi back for a storyline that will eventually usher Abigail off the canvas.

In the two years since she's been in Salem, Mansi has kept pretty busy in front of the cameras. She appeared in several Lifetime films in that time, including Nightclub Secrets, Mother of All Secrets, and Boyfriend Killer.

This article was edited to clarify that Marci Miller received an Emmy nomination for Lead Actress in 2017.
