The extremely romantic thing Days of our Lives' Brandon Barash admits to doing

Fans are going to swoon over a recent romantic admission made by Brandon Barash (Stefan DiMera, Days of our Lives; ex-Johnny Zacchara, General Hospital).

Most fans of soap operas love the genre, not only for its jaw-dropping cliffhangers but also for its romance. For years, no other television programs gave viewers better love scenes, many of which stemmed from dashing men who showered their sweethearts with romantic, candlelit moments that most women could only dream of. General Hospital's Johnny Zacchara was one such daytime Cassanova, as is Days of our Lives' Stefan DiMera (well, sometimes!) -- but it seems the characters' portrayer, Brandon Barash, could teach his daytime alter egos a thing or two about romance.

The actor recently took to Twitter with a message to help publicize the new Richard Marx single "Another One Down," and it contained a swoon-worthy admission from the hunky soap opera actor.

"As an adolescent, I'd sit in my room and write love letters to girls I had crushes on (in a non-stalkery way, I swear) to @richardmarx music," Barash tweeted. "20ish years later, we became close friends. And he's crushing it with his new single."

Barash doesn't reveal whether or not he ever sent the love letters he wrote to the lucky girls who won his affection. We're kind of hoping that he kept them hidden away in a box, and they suddenly find the light of day, much like the endearing plot of the beloved Netflix film To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Because if Richard Marx's music helped serve as inspiration for the love letters, then we're pretty sure they're epic confessions from Barash's heart!

UPDATE: It turns out, Barash took part in the filming of Richard Marx's music video for the single "Another One Down," which one could argue greatly ups the DAYS' actor's overall romance street cred.

"Had the pleasure of taking part in the shooting of my dear friend @richardmarx's new music video w him today," Barash shared on Twitter. "I always feel like I have great hair...until I hang w Richard."

There's no news on when the "Another One Down" music video is slated to be released, but we're pretty sure Barash will share the clip as soon as it becomes available!
