Vivian Alamain is back, y'all! Louise Sorel is reportedly reprising her Days of our Lives role and will be back on-screen this summer.

Days of our Lives fans can look forward to one hell of an entertaining summer if the latest casting news from the NBC soap opera is true: Louise Sorel is said to be stepping back into the shoes of Vivian Alamain!

During a recent podcast interview, daytime alum Nicolas Coster (ex-Lionel Lockridge, Santa Barbara; ex-Robert Delaney, Another World), let it slip that the actress was unable to join the Santa Barbara fan cruise this past November because she was busy filming at DAYS. The NBC soap opera has yet to confirm the news, but if it's true, then the soap's eight-month-in-advance taping schedule means that Sorel is expected to return to Salem this July.

Sorel got her start in daytime soap operas with the role of Santa Barbara's Augusta Lockridge in 1984 and One Life to Live's Judith Sanders in 1986. She joined DAYS in 1992 and has played villainess Vivian on-again, off-again since that time. The character was briefly played by One Life to Live alum Robin Strasser (ex-Dorian Lord) in September of 2019 when Sorel was unable to reprise the character due to other commitments.

Check out Nicolas Coster's comments about Sorel in the video clip below and let us know what you think about the actress possibly bringing Vivian Alamain back to Salem.

If Sorel does return, Soap Central's Days of our Lives Two Scoops columnists Tony and Laurisa hope that Vivian's reintroduction makes more sense. The columnists named Vivian's return as one of the worst things of DAYS 2019. You can read why they felt that way -- as well as the other things that didn't work in 2019 -- here. And Tony and Laurisa also wrote a column sharing the Best of 2019 and you can read that here.

How do you feel about the possibility of Louise Sorel bringing Vivian back to DAYS? If she returns to Salem, what kind of story would you like to see for the meddling character? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
