Sami, Lucas and Brandon are at the justice of the peace when Lucas demands Sami tell the J of P which man she wants to marry. Sami spontaneously blurts Brandon but quickly covers: Brandon... is her past; Lucas is her future and she wants to marry Lucas. The justice goes to get the paperwork in order. Sami and Lucas ask Brandon to be their witness and he accepts. Sami's happiness is short-lived, as the justice comes back with bad news. Sami's annulment papers were not properly filed at the city clerk's office. Sami breaks down that disaster strikes her every time she tries to get married. Lucas tries to calm her down and assures her they will take care of the snafu in the morning and get married. On the way home, insecure Sami vows no one will stand in the way of her becoming Mrs. Lucas Roberts. Brandon is very conflicted.

Hope reacts when Bo tells her he is leaving tonight with Billie. Hope won't let him go and Bo argues he has no choice. Hope reminds Bo that she and his sons need him, too. Bo promises he'll be back and says he will always be here for Hope and their kids. They kiss goodbye and Bo leaves to meet Billie on the Basic Black jet. Billie hides the sexy negligee Kate gave her. After they take off, Bo calls Hope to say goodnight but the call is cut off before Bo hears Hope warn him not to let Billie take advantage. Hope fantasizes about Billie coming between her and Bo. On the plane, Billie falls asleep on Bo's shoulder.

Jennifer finds Abby and Chelsea sneaking into the house after Abby's curfew. Jennifer is furious and good girl Chelsea smoothes the waters. When Chelsea is alone with Abby we see she is a very bad influence. Abby and Chelsea sneak out to attend a boy-girl sleep-over party. Hope visits Jennifer and they console each other over ice cream.

Jack tries to break out of the DiMera castle. Tony warns there is no escape. Jack has to get home to Jennifer and Abby and the baby. Tony tortures Jack by telling him that Patrick is living with Jennifer now and Tony thinks Patrick will be a great comfort to Jennifer in her grief.

Mimi gets a computer invitation to Belle and Philip's wedding. She tells Belle she is making a serious mistake; Belle can't marry Philip if she still loves Shawn. Belle defends herself and reminds Mimi that Shawn told her in no uncertain terms that he doesn't want her anymore. Mimi still thinks Jan is manipulating Shawn somehow and she goes to investigate on her own. Using Jan's keys, Mimi lets herself into Spears' country house. On Jan's computer, Mimi finds all Jan's peeping tom shots of Belle and Philip kissing and almost making love. Mimi goes ballistic and realizes she has to tell Shawn and Belle.

There is a severe snow and ice storm in Salem. Sami, Brandon and Lucas are driving back from the justice of the peace when they skid off the road and into a snow bank. Brandon hits his head again and is a little woozy. There is no cell phone signal so Lucas is forced to walk to a gas station to try to get a tow. Sami is fuming and angry that she didn't marry Lucas tonight but Brandon reminds her it is because she didn't properly file their annulment papers. Brandon asks if maybe Sami subconsciously misfiled the papers.

When Lucas arrives at the gas station he is told the storm is too bad and no one will be able to get a tow truck back to his car tonight. You would need a tank to get through the snow. Lucas is struck and knows exactly who to call!

Mimi is at Jan's country house and has seen the cage and the contents of Jan's computer. She calls Belle and tells her she has to get to Jan's right away. She also leaves a message on Shawn's machine. Jan arrives and confronts Mimi. Mimi nails Jan on what she found. Jan and Mimi fight and Jan winds up locking Mimi in the cage!

Belle runs into Shawn in the hall and relays Mimi's message. They take off together in Belle's car, after Belle leaves a note for Philip. In the car, the tension between Belle and Shawn continues but both more worried/curious about what Mimi found. The snow and ice storm is treacherous and as Belle and Shawn are driving over the bridge to Kent Island they hit ice, spin out of control and crash through the guardrail.

Hope is home alone and still upset that Bo has taken off with Billie. The storm knocks out her furnace and the power. Her worry and agitation grow that Bo isn't there. There is a frantic knocking at the door and Hope is surprised when she opens the door.

On the plane, Bo and Billie are asleep, Billie's head resting on Bo's shoulder. Billie dreams of earlier, happy times with Bo. Bo, subconsciously reminded by the scent of Billie's perfume, also dreams and remembers romantic times. Stirred by the memories Billie kisses Bo in her sleep. He wakes and calls her on it. Billie says it was because she was dreaming about when they were together and Bo looks into her eyes and tells her he was having the same dream.

At Jan's country house, Jan leaves Mimi locked in the cage. When she returns she is surprised by Mimi, holding Jan's gun. Mimi had Jan's keys and let herself out of the cage. Jan finally confesses to everything she did but threatens Mimi with blackmail again that if Mimi tells Shawn and Belle, Jan will tell Rex that she had an abortion. Mimi, strong, says go ahead. Jan attacks Mimi again but Mimi easily defeats her.

Shawn, soaked and freezing, pulls an unconscious Belle onto the riverbank. She isn't breathing so Shawn gives her CPR/mouth-to-mouth and Belle revives. The storm is still raging and they could freeze to death. Shawn sees what could be shelter across a field but Belle is weak and doesn't think she can make it. Shawn, empowered by his love, he picks her up and carries her off across the field.

Kate arrives at the gas station in her big SUV - having been called by Lucas. She is upset (then relieved) to hear Sami and Lucas tried to elope but couldn't. She is privately thrilled when she hears Brandon and Sami are alone in the stuck car and deliberately drives the long way to delay getting to them. Lucas calls her on it and Kate thinks Lucas is worried about what will happen between Sami and Brandon in the car after all.

In the car, the tension and animosity continues between Sami and Brandon. It builds until Sami finally realizes Brandon is so angry, defensive, accusatory and anxious for her to marry Lucas because he still loves her! Brandon looks into her eyes and finally admits he does.

Doug and Julie arrive at Hope's and she fills them in about Bo, Billie and the fact that Georgia is alive. Julie is aghast with worry about what this will do to Hope and Bo. Hope tries to convince Doug, Julie (and herself) that everything will be fine. Julie tells her if she believes that, she's a fool.

On the plane, Bo is worried about why Billie kissed him in her sleep. Billie says she isn't going after him and blames Kate for suggesting she use Georgia to get Bo back. Billie swears she isn't doing that and Bo believes her. He goes to get some coffee and we see Billie had her fingers crossed when she told Bo she didn't want him.

Sami and Brandon are still stuck in the car during the blizzard. Sami reels at Brandon's admission that he still loves her. Sami knew he was protesting too much but she can't believe it. Sami asks Brandon why he left her? Brandon says he had to because he was hurt and it was the only way he could cope. He tells Sami that he has no intention of coming between her and Lucas, especially since they're getting married. Sami insists it is what she wants.

Kate and Lucas are trying to get to Sami and Brandon. During the ride, Kate tells Lucas that marrying Sami is a big mistake. Of course Lucas doesn't want to hear this and asks his mother to please try to get along with Sami. Kate preys on Lucas' fear and tells him that she thinks Brandon still has feelings for Sami. When they arrive and finds Sami in Brandon's arms, Lucas can't help but be jealous. Sami quickly explains the heater died and they were trying to keep warm. Sami and Lucas go home where distracted Sami makes love to Lucas. Half-way through the love-making Sami looks up and instead of Lucas, she sees Brandon.

Kate drives Brandon to the hospital where Brandon tells Kate that once the storm is over, he is leaving town for good.

Mimi and Jan struggle over the gun and it goes off. Neither is hit and Jan gets the upper hand again. Mimi tells Jan that once Shawn and Belle get there and realize what she did all summer she can kiss her life with Shawn good-bye. Jan threatens Mimi with the abortion blackmail and they continue to fight. Mimi finally gets the upper hand and calls Philip and Rex. Due to the storm the connection is bad and Philip and Rex only hear that Shawn and Belle went to Jan's house and that Mimi wants them to come. The line goes dead and Philip and Rex take off on cross-country skis.

Shawn rescues Belle from the storm by carrying her to a barn. Shawn and Belle get out of their wet, cold clothes and try to warm each other up. They both fall asleep and fantasize about each other. While asleep they act on their fantasy and start to make love.

John continues to suffer. Perplexed Lexie doesn't understand his reactions to the pain medicine. The mystery figure continues to inject John's IV. John thinks it is Tek but he is confused. Lexie confronts what we see as a mystery figure but it is Tek. Is the mystery person injecting John, Tek?
