Bo resolves to continue searching for answers, before the warnings start turning into funerals!

Lucas doesn't want Sami to risk her life anymore. They come to an agreement: Lucas will go with Sami, as long as she has the amnio done, proving who the father of her child is. They try to leave for the docks, but the cop outside Sami's door orders her not to go anywhere.
Chelsea is leaving for the beach, when a hungover Nick stops her, wanting to talk. When he finds out she's going to meet Jett (and the rest of the gang) at the beach, he gets jealous and tells Chelsea he needs to know if they have a future or not. Chelsea admits she isn't sure. Nick grows indignant and declares it's over between them before walking out on her. A devastated Chelsea pulls herself together and heads to the beach.
Max hangs out at the beach with Jett, Stephanie and Jeremy, as they toast to the first flight of Touch the Sky. Stephanie calls Jett on his feelings for Chelsea, but he insists it's not like that and walks off, annoyed. Jeremy tries to get rid of Stephanie so he can talk to Max, but when she doesn't take the hint, he blows up at her. Stephanie storms off in a huff. Jeremy makes his pitch to Max, wanting him to invest money in a side business – the illegal business of selling fake designer label clothes. Max is on the fence, but eventually gives in when Jeremy offers to take full responsibility and make Max a silent partner. Chelsea shows up and tells Max she doesn't trust Jeremy... Meanwhile, Nick arrives in time to hear Jett tell Stephanie he thinks Chelsea is dating a loser.

Roman supervises the investigation of the bombing at Doug's Place. He forces Stefano and Tony to come over and questions them. They insist they had nothing to do with it, but Roman doesn't believe them. Stefano suggests they all sit down and try to work out their differences since Sami is carrying their grandchild. Roman's not interested. Alone, Stefano demands Tony tell him what he's been doing behind his back. Tony says he's protecting their family, which Stefano should be doing himself, since he started this vendetta that threatens them all. Stefano tells him to call a DiMera family meeting.
Chelsea tells Max she doesn't trust Jeremy, upsetting Max, who's invested so much money in Jeremy. At the same time, Nick overhears Jett telling Stephanie he thinks Nick is a loser. Nick confronts him, saying he knows Jett is after Chelsea, and he warns him to back off. Jett is tired of Nick getting in his face and is ready to fight. Chelsea interrupts the stand-off, and tells Nick to leave. He begs for the chance to talk to her and she reluctantly gives in. They go back to Bo and Hope's, almost catching Jeremy leaving with a girl he just slept with. Chelsea tells Nick she thinks they need time apart, but he says he loves her and kisses her, which ignites lovemaking. Jeremy returns and sees them. Meanwhile, Steph is grilling Jett about whether Jeremy is cheating on her. Jett says he keeps out of Jeremy's business. Jeremy returns with earrings for Steph and tells them he saw Chelsea and Nick making love. Jett covers his disappointment.
The Brady clan gathers at the pub to discuss the latest threats from the newly-returned DiMeras. Bo asks Caroline where Grandpa Shawn is, and she reports he wanted no part of the meeting; he went fishing instead. A breathless Sami arrives and says she brought someone who might be able to shed some light on the Colleen Brady mystery – someone who is familiar to almost everyone in the room, especially Roman. She calls out to Lucas, who brings in the mystery woman from the docks. The woman lifts her veil – revealing herself to be Anna DiMera, Roman and Tony's ex-wife!
Anna explains she anonymously contacted Sami when she heard the DiMeras were back in town and that people were asking about Colleen Brady. Anna remembered she had some letters Tony left behind that were written (in Italian) from Colleen to Santo. Anna offers to try reading the letters using her limited Italian. She reports that Colleen and Santo met in a romantic way when Santo was injured near a church. Colleen nursed him back to health. That's all Anna can glean from the first letter, and so Hope arranges to have a professor at the University translate all the letters word for word.
The group realizes in order to get the full story, they also need Santo's letters to Colleen... but someone has to be close enough to Tony and Stefano to get inside the mansion. As Roman and Anna playfully reconnect, Bo and John interrupt to ask Anna to help. Anna agrees – as long as there's something in it for her! Lucas and Sami are stunned when Marlena shows them the photo of Colleen – who looks just like Sami. Lucas insists his wife enter a safe house. Sami refuses. When Grandpa Shawn returns, Bo presses his father to talk about his sister. Grandpa Shawn blurts out that the DiMeras are responsible for her murder! He then clams up, saying he doesn't know more.
Meanwhile, the DiMeras have their own dysfunctional family meeting at the mansion. E.J. arrives first and sees Stefano admiring a photo of what looks to be Sami. But Stefano reveals the woman is Colleen Brady, Samantha's great-aunt. E.J. and Tony argue over E.J.'s affection for Sami. Stefano orders his sons to stop bickering.
A reluctant Celeste arrives. Stefano asks why Lexie isn't with her, and Celeste snipes that she didn't bring her – and if he comes after her daughter again, she'll exterminate the whole DiMera clan. Stefano swears he had nothing to do with Lexie's imprisonment. During a tense family dinner (as Bart and Dr. Rolf also lurk about), Stefano, holding a packet of letters, confesses the feud started with a tragic death – Colleen's murder at the hands of the Bradys. Realizing he won't live much longer, Stefano must now decide whether the feud should continue – or if he should call it off.
E.J. urges Stefano to end the feud, while Tony demands his father see it through. After sending everyone else away, Stefano confides to E.J. that they are both on the same page about the vendetta. Only E.J. can end it. Stefano shows E.J. a photo of his father, Santo, and we see E.J. is a dead ringer for his grandfather.
After some arguing, it's decided that Anna will go to the DiMera mansion and keep Tony and Stefano occupied while Hope, wearing a wire, will look for the letters Santo DiMera wrote to Colleen Brady. Steve arrives and offers his help, but Bo and company aren't ready to trust him. He leaves, disappointed and ticked.
E.J. shows up, under orders from Stefano to spy on Anna and the Bradys. Instead, he reveals his purpose for being there and offers to tell his father that Anna is just in Salem to visit old friends. He explains he'd be willing to do this because he wants peace among the families. Lucas persuades Sami to have the amnio done ASAP so they can find out who the baby's father is. She also agrees to go to the safe house.
Earlier, at the DiMera mansion, Stefano shows E.J. a photo of his father, Santo – who looks just like E.J. – and tells him he's the only one who can end the vendetta against the Bradys. Stefano then goes up to his room, asking E.J. to make peace with his brother, Tony.
Subsequently, Tony arrives but laughs when E.J. tells him of Stefano's request. He won't make peace. After E.J. leaves for the Brady Pub, Steve turns up at the mansion. He claims he's there to make up for failing the DiMeras – and to prove he's sincere, he informs them that Anna is with the Bradys, concocting a plan to get into the mansion to search for the letters Santo wrote to Colleen. Following this, Stefano receives a call from E.J., telling him that Anna is on the level, and they have nothing to worry about from her. Stefano hangs up, distraught, knowing E.J. can't be trusted.
