At a Glance
Darin was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii where his parents, older brother and Dachshund, Keiki, still reside.
After playing the role of Rapunzel's Prince in "Into the Woods" in high school, Darin was hooked on acting. He has studied with Ivana Chubbuck and at Carter/Thor Studios in Los Angeles. Two years ago, casting director Kathy Henderson referred him to an agent who urged him to move to Los Angeles. With only a monologue on tape, Darin tested for the role of JR Chandler on All My Children, another role on The Young and the Restless, and he read for a role on One Life to Live. After a general meeting with Days of our Lives' casting director Fran Bascom, he was brought in for producers for the role of Max. "It all happened at once and so fast! It was unbelievable. Days stepped up, so here I am!" His one professional credit is a short movie by Toby Wilkins called "Staring at the Sun" that is making the rounds on the festival circuit.
He credits John Travolta, Al Pacino and Johnny Depp as his favorites, saying "they are all great actors of our time and I dream of working with them some day. They are all able to adapt and create such different characters, and they bring so much energy to what they do." He is also a big fan of Jessica Biel and Marisa Tomei.
Darin's first love and passion is surfing but admits that the California waters "are dirty and cold; I'm spoiled so have surfed minimally out here."
Darin enjoys skateboarding, playing baseball, soccer and football. He also enjoys playing guitar, bass and drums and misses playing in a rock band as he did in high school. Darin is single and lives in Los Angeles.
