Brief Character History
Fay is the long-suffering widow of Paul Mendez, and the mother of Brandon, Nicole, and Taylor. She has never had any storyline other than being a wife and mother, but it is known she was Abe Carver's lover years ago during her marriage to Paul, and that Brandon knew about it, and felt that Abe was responsible for the years that Paul beat the family. It later came out that not only were Fay and Abe lovers when Brandon was growing up, Abe was also Brandon's father! (It is assumed that Nicole and Taylor belonged to Paul, although Fay was still sleeping with Abe during their conceptions.) Fay eventually disappeared from sight, and it is unknown if she is even aware that Abe knew he was Brandon's father.
