Jeremy was born to Robin Jacobs, who later brought him to Salem to his father, Mike Horton. Jeremy lives with his mother in Israel.
In the summer of 2007, Jeremy returned to Salem. He was in his mid-twenties and dating Stephanie Johnson, who he met while she was racing in Dayton. Jeremy was a graduate of the academy and a certified pilot. He talked some friends and associates into funding a business, "Touch the Sky", a private airline to fly high rollers from Salem to Las Vegas. It turned out that the airline was a cover for an illegal cloth smuggling scheme. The DiMera's were paying Jeremy to fly smuggle merchandise to Las Vegas. Jeremy's friend and co-pilot, Jett Carver, was an undercover ISA agent who had been investigating the scheme. When Jett busted Jeremy, Jeremy went on the run. He said goodbye to Stephanie and fled Salem.
