NATAS has released clips from this year's Outstanding Lead Actor reels, featuring wow-worthy performances from General Hospital's Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlain); The Bold and the Beautiful's Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester); Days of our Lives' Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera); and The Young and the Restless' Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott).

Daytime actors are some of the best in the business, and this year's Daytime Emmy nominees in the Outstanding Lead Actor category certainly back up that statement. Their 2019 performances will long be remembered, but for those fans who'd love to relive some of the magic, we've got good news: The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences just released snippets from the submission reels of this year's Lead Actor contenders.

As can be seen in the video (below), the snippets are just samples of each actor's full reel -- but just because they're short clips doesn't mean they're not powerful!

Check out NATAS' video to see Steve Burton as General Hospital's Jason Morgan, who's breaking the news to Danny (Porter Fasullo) that his mother, Sam (Kelly Monaco), has gone to prison for murder; Thorsten Kaye as The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge Forrester, who is blasting Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) for not supporting his son, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson); Jon Lindstrom as GH's Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlain, who are in a heated discussion over Ava (Maura West); Thaao Penghlis as Days of our Lives' Tony DiMera, who's explaining his return from the dead; and Jason Thompson as The Young and the Restless' Billy Abbott, who's experiencing a distressing mental breakdown.

As Soap Central previously reported, NATAS has also released clips from the reels that each of the four network soap operas submitted in the Outstanding Drama Series category and clips from the Outstanding Supporting Actress reels.

The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be returning to television via a broadcast on CBS on Friday, June 26, at 8PM ET/PT. For a list of nominations in the major daytime drama categories, click here. For a complete list of all nominations, click here.
