Her addition to the General Hospital cast was shrouded in controversy, but now Tamara Clatterbuck (Tammy Hansen) has broken free from that cloud and is making news of her own.
Clatterbuck was cast as Tammy on General Hospital after the dismissal of Patricia Healey, the actress who created the role. Healey's departure had originally been attributed to the actress' apparent intoxication while on the set. Less than two weeks after her firing, Healey released a statement citing a mis-dosage of a doctor-prescribed medication.
Clatterbuck, who played Alice on The Young and the Restless prior to her GH gig, has landed the contract role of "Barb" on NBC's Days of our Lives. With this role, Clatterbuck will have achieved a rare trifecta; she'll have appeared on soaps on all three networks in under a year.
The actress and her character's final appearance on General Hospital was February 22nd. There are no plans to recast the role.
