Former Y&R star Hayley Erin has been tapped to play GH's Kiki Jerome.

It looks like General Hospital has found a replacement for Kristen Alderson, who chose to vacate the role of Kiki Jerome earlier this month. A show spokesperson confirms that the ABC soap has hired former The Young and the Restless actress Hayley Erin to play the Port Charles resident.

Erin previously played the role of Victor Newman's daughter, Abby Newman, on Y&R from 2008 to 2010. She was replaced by Emme Rylan, who now plays Lulu Spencer Falconeri on GH.

In addition to Y&R, Erin has appeared on Melissa & Joey, Austin & Ally, Modern Family, and MADtv.

"As a member of our ABC family since she was six years old, we will miss Kristen and wish her only the best in her new ventures," ABC said in a statement.

A rep tells Soap Central that Erin will start airing in late February. Erin's hiring was first reported by Daytime Confidential.

What do you think about Erin taking over for Kristen Alderson? Were you a fan of the actress when she was on Y&R? Share your thoughts in our Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
