General Hospital was the only daytime drama to gain viewers for the week of May 9, 2016.

General Hospital fans have been gearing up for the ABC soap's upcoming Nurses Ball that kicks off on Tuesday, May 24, and all that excitement has translated to an increase of total viewers for Disney's sole remaining soap.

The ratings for the week of May 9 through May 13 show that out of all four daytime dramas, GH was the only soap opera to gain viewers, managing to pull in 51,000 new fans compared to the week before. Additionally, the ABC soap showed gains in the key women's demographics 18-49, 18-34, and 25-54.

Days of our Lives also gained in all the key demographics for the week, but it dropped 3,000 in total viewers from the week prior.

Meanwhile, CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless and The Bold and Beautiful both took major hits in overall viewership, with Y&R down 188,000 viewers and B&B down 130,000 viewers compared to the week before. Both shows experienced drops in the key women's demographics, as well.

All four soaps are down in the overall ratings compared to this time last year.
