With her time at General Hospital coming to a close, Tamara Braun (Kim Nero) bids a fond farewell to the ABC soap opera and all of her Port Charles fans.

General Hospital viewers will soon watch Kim Nero leave Port Charles, but before she's gone for good, her portrayer, Tamara Braun, wants to make sure that fans know how much she has enjoyed her second life on the ABC soap opera.

Several fans have taken to social media about the actress' impending exit, and she has responded to the comments, revealing that she is grateful for their support and her time as GH's Kim.

"Wish I was staying," she tweeted to one fan, adding, "but thrilled I got the time I did and got to meet new people like you as well." To another, she wrote: "I will miss being there. Thank you for your kindness and support."

Braun originally joined the cast of GH as Carly Corinthos, which she played from 2001 to 2005 and again in 2014. She returned to the ABC soap in the role of Kim Nero in 2017. In the shoes of this new character, Braun had the pleasure of playing a very powerful storyline: Kim's son, Oscar (Garren Stitt), dying of an inoperable brain tumor. Oscar's death unfortunately sent the character into a downward spiral from which she has been unable to recover, and Kim is now determined to leave Port Charles so she can have a fresh start away from the heartbreaking memories of her late son.

Braun's additional soap credits include All My Children's Reese Williams (2008 to 2009), Days of our Lives' Taylor Walker (2011), and DAYS' Ava Vitali (2008, and again from 2015 to 2016).

News of Braun's exit from GH first came to light in October of this year.
