On the ledge of the Hospital roof, Luke suddenly looks up and sees Summer. Luke implores Cameron to turn around and see Summer for himself but Cameron insists on keeping an eye on Luke. Cameron finally stands up and, as he does so, he glances up at the roof and sees Summer in the flesh. Cameron gets Luke back up on the roof and officially meets Summer. However, when Cameron, Luke and Summer return to the Hospital, the head of the Psychiatric Ward refuses to release Luke even though Cameron is prepared to sign Luke out. However, when the police arrive to keep an eye on Luke, Luke manages to convince the Head of the Psychiatric Ward that, the longer Luke sticks around the Hospital, the worse the publicity is going to get. Luke reports to Bobbie by phone that Summer showed up and officially met Cameron, so Luke is now free to go. Luke and Summer leave together and Summer takes Luke home with her. Then Summer reminds Luke that the only way for HER to stay safe is to remain invisible, but as long as she is around Luke, there always seem to be news reporters with cameras who show up. Luke begins to tell Summer about the way that Luke's sister, Bobbie, was able to leave the life of a hooker and become a nurse who helps save lives. As they talk, they are interrupted when one of Summer's regular customers comes to the door. As Luke hides out in the next room, Summer tells her regular that she is leaving the business.

Meanwhile, at Sonny's Penthouse, Sonny angrily denounces Taggert for arresting him in his own home so close to the holidays, but Taggert reminds Sonny that that is just one of the hazards of Sonny's chosen 'profession.' As Michael clings to Sonny, Taggert tries to reassure Michael that he does NOT plan to hurt Sonny. When Sonny requests a few minutes to explain things to Michael, Taggert waits until Sonny has finished, and, while Taggert is waiting, Taggert suddenly asks Courtney if Courtney knows where Jason is. But Courtney pleads ignorance. When Sonny has finished speaking to Michael, Taggert arrests Sonny and they leave for the Port Charles Police Department.

Meanwhile, at the darkened Quartermaine Mansion, Mac quizzes Alexis, Skye, AJ, Alan, Edward, Ned, Monica, Reginald and Lila about the whereabouts of Brenda and Jason. Mac is surprised to notice that Coleman is attending a Quartermaine gathering and even more surprised when Coleman announces that he was an invited guest. While Skye suggests that Jax and Brenda are half-way to Canada by now, the rest of the Quartermaines deny knowing anything at all about Jax or Brenda. AJ suggests that Mac should try looking for Jason and Ned suggests that Mac should be arresting Sonny instead of looking for Brenda. While the police search the house, Skye hits the punch again and AJ tries to get her to stay away from the punch bowl and stay quiet, but to no avail. Skye and AJ are surprised when Ned quietly suggests that they keep their focus on their main goal, which is Payback For Sonny, and, when AJ and Skye voice their surprise, Ned announces that NED will bring Sonny down - but in his own way and on his own terms!

In the meantime, Brenda and Jax run through the grounds, but Jason suddenly appears and hits Jax on the head, grabs Brenda and takes off with her. Before Jax can recover, a police officer spots Jax and begins quizzing him about Brenda. But Jax insists he has NOT seen either Jason OR Brenda. When the police officer leaves, Jax heads back to the main house.

Mac soon grows exasperated when the Quartermaines fall to blaming each other for the police raid and Edward threatens to call the mayor to report Mac's high-handedness. When Edward spots Jax on the terrace, Edward distracts Mac by insisting that Mac should conduct a search, looking under the sofa and in the billiard room. Edward tells Mac: "If you go up and check Lila's room, you will find that SHE is the criminal mastermind of this whole thing.'

ALAN: "Don't give him any ideas!'

Skye also spots Jax on the terrace and goes out to warn her husband again that Brenda IS guilty of murdering Alcazar Skye again begs Jax NOT to throw his life away for Brenda. But Jax just walks away from Skye. Meanwhile, Alexis quietly calls Felicia and learns that Ida slipped away from Felicia and told Scott her entire story, including identifying Jason as the person who paid her off and ordered her to leave town.

Later, Jason drags a protesting Brenda to her Cottage and demands that she pack and get ready to leave immediately. But, when Jason enters the darkened Cottage, Jax steps out of the shadows and hits Jason over the head. Even though Brenda insists they should make sure Jason is OK and maybe even take him to the Hospital, Jax refuses and insists that they tie Jason up and leave him there.

Meanwhile, back at the Quartermaine Mansion, Mac reminds all of the assembled guests that, IF they are ALL covering for Brenda and Jason, they ARE guilty of being accomplices. The Quartermaines remain mum - however, when Mac gets ready to leave, AJ offers to walk Mac to the door.

Later, as AJ and Skye listen to the rest of the family make excuses for Brenda and Jason, they wonder if the family would ever cover for one of them if either of them needed it. Alan offers to take Skye home, but, when Skye refuses, Alan implores Coleman to drive her home. Coleman tries to get Skye to leave but Skye suddenly erupts into a drunken tirade, lecturing the entire family on their failures at family togetherness, then Skye collapses, sobbing, into AJ's arms. AJ finally hustles his weeping sister out on to the terrace and AWAY from the punch bowl.

At the Penthouse, Carly informs Courtney that they now need to go down to the police station to bail Sonny and Jason out of jail. When Courtney questions the need for BOTH of them to go to do that and reminds Carly that they will be leaving Michael alone when they go, Carly informs Courtney that, as long as the man you love often lands in jail, you need to learn the ropes of the system so that you can help. Courtney and Carly finally leave for the PCPD. At the same time, Jason regains consciousness in the darkened Cottage and works at freeing himself, but - by the time that Jason is free, the Police have arrived with spotlights glaring and sirens blaring and announce that the Cottage is surrounded and that Jason needs to surrender.

Meanwhile, back at the PCPD, Alexis meets with Felicia and learns that Ida is now in protective custody, after having identified Jason as the man who paid her off and ordered her to leave town. When Carly arrives, she instantly assumes that Alexis is there to try to weasel her way back into Sonny's life by offering to represent Sonny - but Alexis coldly informs Carly that Alexis now deeply regrets everything she ever did to keep Sonny out of jail before and is not likely to make any attempts now to spring her former client. When Sonny sees Alexis, he asks Alexis if SHE is the one who is responsible for his arrest. Alexis reminds Sonny that she informed him about the new witness and warned him that she would HAVE to report it.

SONNY: "You want to trace the bribe? You check Jax's bank account! Unless - you are covering for him!'

ALEXIS: "It would serve you right if I were!'

Meanwhile, on the Quartermaine terrace, AJ tries to remind Skye that SHE is ALSO a suspect in Alcazar's murder and she JUST needs to quit talking - whether she is drinking or not, she just needs to QUIT talking! AJ reminds Skye that, if the police are after Jason and Brenda, it MUST be because the police believe the witness that they paid off. But Coleman overhears their conversation and interrupts, reminding the scheming siblings that it was COLEMAN who found the witness and COLEMAN who paid her to identify Brenda and Jason. Skye reminds her co-conspirators that she IS convinced that it WAS Brenda who killed Alcazar and their plan is merely helping the police along. Coleman reminds Skye and AJ that they are ALL partners now and THEY need Coloman now, more than ever!

As Brenda and Jax arrive aboard Jax's jet and make plans to fly to the Caribbean, Jason arrives at the Port Charles Police Department under arrest and is angry at Carly for dragging Courtney down to the PCPD with her. Then Courtney rages at Taggert that the arrests are NOT fair -

COURTNEY: "It is NOT fair!'

TAGGERT: "Fair? You want to know what is NOT fair, Ms. Matthews? Try three failed indictments against your brother for Rico violations. Try years of failed investigations because he made a deal with the FBI, and they sealed his records. Try people that have disappeared or met with accidents or ended up dead in an alley, courtesy of Mr. Morgan. The law IS fair. And it has finally come back to bite both of you!'

Sonny protests that he and Jason are innocent and Taggert agrees that Taggert is beginning to believe that Brenda really DID kill Alcazar!

Edward grouses about having to attend the annual Christmas party in the children's ward at GH. Anxious to have his daddy back home, Michael pens another letter to Santa with a last minute Christmas wish. Meanwhile, at the precinct house, Marcus gleefully informs Sonny and Jason that they'll remain guests of the city for the holiday. Jax flies Brenda to a Caribbean island, where he reminds her they have some decisions to make about their future. Monica coerces her irascible father-in-law into playing Santa Claus for the kids. A drunken Skye passes out on a park bench as a light snow begins to fall. Through tears of joy, Alexis thanks Cameron for persuading the NICU staff to let her hold her infant daughter for the very first time. Courtney talks a reluctant Mike into visiting his son at the police station on Christmas Eve. Georgie grimaces when Felicia forces her to play elf for the kids' party but her mood lightens considerably after Lucas pays her a compliment. Brenda is miffed to realize that Jax has doubts about her innocence. Coleman finds Skye half frozen in the park and rushes her to the ER. In keeping with long hospital tradition, Alan reads the story of the first Christmas to the assembled guests. Ric calls in a favor to get Sonny and Jason released but receives little gratitude in return. Brenda and Jax theorize that Skye paid Ida off to lie.

Skye gets released from GH regardless of Alan's wishes for her to stay at GH a little longer. Coleman comes over and takes her with him after telling Alan that he is making a big deal about what happened to her when she is just fine. He takes her back to his office at Jake's bar. He tells her that if he killed Alcazar and had to hear about it on the news all the time he may resort to the bottle like she did. She asks him to explain what he means by that and why he thinks she killed Alcazar. Coleman tells her that he overheard her talking in her sleep at GH on Christmas eve. Skye tells him that she doesn't remember killing anyone and that when she woke up she checked the hotel suite and didn't hear anything and so she left the room. She asks him if he plans to blackmail her based on what she supposedly confessed to at GH. Coleman tells her he has no intention of blackmailing her since he went to all that trouble with the witness Ida to frame Brenda. Skye looks at him in surprise. Meanwhile, Jax and Brenda enjoy themselves on some beach in some warm climate. Their fun is interrupted when a magistrate shows up with documents that Jax requested from a judge to expedite for them. He tells Jax that he has some divorce papers for him to sign and annulment papers for her to sign to end her marriage quickly to Jason. Brenda looks at the papers and almost signs them but then changes her mind and tells Jax she can't sign them. Jax looks up from signing his papers and looks at her quizzically. Felicia shows up at Sonny's penthouse to tell him about her theories on the witness Ida. She tells him she has a problem with Ida's testimony that Jason paid her off and threatened her and that Brenda killed Alcazar. She asks him if there is anyone who hates Jason enough to set him up. Sonny suggests that AJ does and is capable of paying off a witness to set up Jason and that he would help Skye as well to have Brenda implicated so she could get her revenge as well. Felicia believes the theory makes sense and asks Sonny if he had Jason threaten Ida. Sonny tells her that he has no reason to want any harm to come of Ida since it would not help him to loose a witness that he could have help him later. Felicia agrees to find out where the police are hiding Ida. She agrees to meet with him and Jason later on the docks. She goes to Kelly's and persuades Mac to give her the address of where Ida is hiding under police protection. Mac doesn't believe Brenda killed anyone and doesn't want her to go to prison so he agrees to help Felicia but wouldn't mind if Jason and Sonny went down for Alcazar's murder since it would make up for all the crimes they have committed in the past that they have gotten away with. Jason tries to leave Courtney's new place while she is sleeping but she wakes up. She gets upset about him leaving without saying goodbye since she worries that the cops will arrest him and put him away and she wouldn't know it. Jason agrees to let her know and say goodbye each time he has to go somewhere. She suggests that they run off together and hide out somewhere. Jason turns down that idea and tells her he has to meet with Sonny soon. AJ comes looking for Courtney at Kelly's. Liz is annoyed with his behavior and assures him she will give Courtney a message about her landlord needing her new keys to get into her apartment because of a burst pipe. Carly notices AJ hanging around Kelly's and annoying Liz. She asks him what he wants now and asks him to leave Kelly's and not to come back. She informs him that Courtney is staying with them at the penthouse and wants nothing to do with him anymore. AJ tells her that her family will not be together for long since Jason and Sonny will both be going to prison soon. Carly tells him that he will not get Michael either way since Sonny is his only real father and that he is just some scary guy to Michael. She threatens AJ with a coffee pot to get him to leave. Ric looks on with amusement. Carly and Ric discuss the hidden section of the basement at Kelly's and wonder what it is down there that is walled off. Ric wonders if there are dead bodies down there hidden. Courtney finds out later that Carly did her a favor by standing up to AJ for her. She goes to visit her. Carly goes home and accidentally overhears Sonny fill Jason in on what Felicia told him about her theories on who set Jason and Brenda up. Jason agrees that he wouldn't be surprised that AJ would set him up as revenge and help Skye get revenge as well. Carly gets upset when she realizes that AJ is possibly setting up Jason. She asks Sonny to get AJ and put him back in a meat locker and get him to confess to setting Jason and Brenda up. Sonny tells her to butt out and keep what she knows to herself for a change. He tells her that they have it handled and will get AJ sooner or later. Courtney comes to visit and thank Carly for helping with AJ Carly tells her that AJ will stop at nothing but destroy her family and try to get Michael including using Courtney to do it. Carly lets slip that AJ is responsible for setting up Jason and Brenda by paying that witness to lie about Jason threatening her and paying her off and seeing Brenda kill Alcazar. Courtney starts to blame herself thinking she caused AJ to get revenge on Jason. She tells Carly that she will speak to AJ and get him to confess to setting up Jason. At the docks, Felicia meets with Jason and Sonny. She tells them she will give them the address to where Ida is hiding if they promise that no harm will be done to her and that she will convince Ida to run away from the police and they can follow her hopefully to the person who paid her off. Sonny assures her that they are just going to have one of their men follow Ida and that Jason will follow AJ to see what he does and video tape and take pictures of Ida if she meets with AJ Felicia goes to the hideout and brings magazines and puzzles to occupy Ida's time as a pretext to meeting with her and setting up the trap. Ida asks about whether they caught Brenda yet. She tells her they haven't and that she found out that Sonny wants her dead. She tells her that one of the cops on duty now or on the second shift works for Sonny and that she needs to run away as soon as she can help distract the police guards. Ida believes her and agrees to run as soon as she can and find a way to leave the country if she can.

Luke tries to get Summer to let him help her get a decent job. Summer doesn't want his help but decides to sign up for some college classes. She is reading a brochure when Lucky comes into the room and suggests that she doesn't take a particular class with some professor who he tells her is a "jerk." Summer looks up at Lucky with a curious look on her face.

As Summer signs up for classes at the Port Charles University, she runs into Lucky. When they strike up a conversation, Summer tells Lucky that her name is Laura. When Summer mentions that her last job involved a lot of 'pretending,' Lucky suggests that she sign up for some Drama classes.

In Coleman's office, after Skye admits to Coleman that she does NOT really remember whether or not she DID kill Alcazar, Skye asks Coleman WHY he is keeping mum about the blabbing she did when she was delirious. Coleman admits to Skye that he wants Courtney and that helping Skye and AJ get rid of Jason will eventually work to Coleman's benefit. When Skye worries about the security of their 'witness', Coleman reassures Skye that Ida is a pro who will see this matter through, no matter what!

Meanwhile, Felicia reports to Sonny that she frightened Ida enough by telling the 'witness' that Sonny was planning to bump Ida off BEFORE Ida could testify against Brenda, so that the woman took Felicia's advice to run away. Felicia admits she helped decoy the police guards so Ida would get away. Sonny affirms his belief that Ida will head straight to AJ and that Jason is watching AJ with a camera to get proof of Ida meeting AJ! As Jason skulks in the bushes outside and watches the Quartermaine Mansion with a camera, Ned gets a call from Faith Roscoe, who invites Ned to meet her in her hotel room later. Afterward, AJ wanders in and asks Ned WHAT ever happened to Ned's plan to take Sonny down. Ned replies that IF AJ's plan to take Sonny down does NOT work, Ned has another plan already in action. AJ points out to Ned that the longer Jax succeeds in keeping Brenda out of the country and on the run, the better the chance will be that only Jason and Sonny will be prosecuted as Brenda's accomplices in Alcazar's death.

Meanwhile, at the Penthouse, when Courtney learns that Sonny and Jason suspect that AJ bribed the new witness to the Alcazar witness to lie to implicate Brenda and Jason, Courtney insists to Carly that Courtney should try to help in some way, but Carly advises Courtney to stay out of Sonny's plan to prove that AJ IS connected to Ida.

At the same time, in their tropical hideaway, Jax is stunned when Brenda tells him that she can NOT annul her marriage to Jason just yet. When the lawyer with the annulment papers leaves, Jax asks Brenda if it is about Sonny - and Brenda agrees that it IS about Sonny. When Jax asks HOW it is about Sonny, Brenda reminds Jax that even Jax knows that Scott WANTS to pin Alcazar's murder on Sonny and that Brenda NEEDS to stay married to Jason because Jason DID help Brenda escape from the Port Charles Hotel on the night that Alcazar was murdered, and the marriage protects both Brenda AND Jason so they could never be forced to testify against each other. Sonny becomes involved because he now has a family and should NOT have to spend time in jail for a crime he did NOT commit!

On the Docks, as Ric and Carly look for a spot for her new club, Carly is too intrigued by the question of the hidden room beneath Kelly's. Later, Ric tries to convince Carly that Ric COULD restructure Sonny's empire in such a way that Sonny COULD get out of the Mob Business. But Carly warns Ric NOT to get too interested in Sonny's business. Meanwhile, Sonny gets a call at the Penthouse from Johnnie, alerting the Mob Boss that Johnnie has lost Ida. Sonny decides that, since your average senior citizen could NOT give Johnnie the slip, Ida has had previous experience with being tailed! Sonny calls Jason to let Jason know that Ida HAS ditched Johnnie but COULD resurface at the Quartermaine Mansion to see AJ Meanwhile, AJ leaves a message for Skye, letting his sister know that AJ KNOWS how upset Skye has been about Jax and Brenda running away to a tropical paradise together and AJ asks Skye to call. When AJ turns around, he realizes that Courtney has suddenly arrived, and AJ is suspicious about Courtney's visit. Courtney announces to AJ that she is willing to give AJ a chance to prove he truly loves her.

Meanwhile, Brenda dreams that Taggert discovers Brenda and arrests her. When Jax tries to save Brenda, Taggert shoots. However, Jax wakes her up with news of a special romantic evening he has planned.

Back at the Quartermaine Mansion, Courtney appeals to AJ to urge Skye to withdraw her story about seeing Brenda push Alcazar over the arms dealer's balcony railing. Courtney points out that everyone can see that Skye is turning into a wreck and that Courtney believes that Skye is sticking to her story about witnessing Brenda push Alcazar ONLY because AJ is urging Skye to stick to her story - and all because AJ is jealous of Jason. When AJ mentions the new eye witness who backs up Skye's story, Courtney suggests that AJ could bribe Ida to change her story and just say that she came forward because she wanted to be in the midst of all of that police activity and publicity. AJ is shocked that COURTNEY would ASK AJ to bribe a witness! AJ suggests that he WOULD be interested in a trade - AJ informs his estranged wife that, IF Courtney returned to AJ and NEVER saw Jason again, AJ would try to find a way to clear Jason in Alcazar's murder.

When Carly and Ric return to the Penthouse, Ric mentions that he believes Sonny COULD get out of the Mob by restructuring some of his holdings and Sonny bluntly orders Ric to mind his own business. Sonny then orders Ric to leave. After Ric leaves, Sonny blasts Carly for talking to Ric about Sonny's business - AND about Carly's desire for Sonny to get out of the Mob! Then Sonny explains to his puzzled wife that Sonny believes that it appears that Ric is trying to work on Carly's sympathies by creating the impression that it COULD be possible for Sonny to escape his mob connections. Then Sonny asks Carly if she STILL harbors hope that Sonny would be able to leave the Mob one day.

At the same time, Ned meets Faith and they begin to make plans to get rid of Sonny, but suddenly become passionate and hit the sheets instead.

Meanwhile, in the Caribbean, while Brenda waits for Jax to return with the special romantic surprise that Jax has planned, Brenda calls Taggert at the Port Charles Police Department and asks Taggert HOW the investigation is going. When Taggert tells Brenda that Jason and Sonny HAVE been arrested for conspiracy, Brenda suddenly hangs up. When Taggert's fellow officer informs Taggert that Brenda hung up too soon for the call to be traced, Taggert expresses his confidence that Brenda heard enough to head back to Port Charles to clear Sonny.

Summer and Luke meet on the docks and Summer announces that she has been to the University and met someone who treated her like a real person. When Luke learns that Summer plans to take a Drama class because she did a lot of pretending in her previous 'job', Luke offers to help Summer go back to school by giving Summer an 'acting' job - 'acting' as if she were Laura to fulfill Luke's fantasy of his absent wife.

Back at the Quartermaine Mansion, Courtney reminds AJ that Jason covered for AJ when AJ burned down The Oasis Club, but AJ insists that the person Jason covered for was Courtney - NOT AJ! AJ accuses Courtney of beginning to 'want' Jason the first moment she laid eyes on him. When Courtney insists that AJ is wrong - AJ tells Courtney that if she truly wants AJ to help clear Jason, it would be necessary for Courtney to come clean with AJ about her feelings for Jason. When Courtney reminds AJ that AJ lied to Courtney while we has stalking her - AJ reminds Courtney that she has just asked AJ to lie to get Jason off the hook! AJ informs Courtney that, to get AJ's help, Courtney would have to put on a convincing act that there was a TRUE reconciliation going on. All the while, Jason is watching the entire confrontation through the telephoto lens of his camera.

At the same time, Ida arrives at Coleman's office and tells Coleman that Felicia told Ida that Sonny was planning to murder her BEFORE Ida got a chance to testify against Brenda. Before Coleman can tell Ida that he believes Felicia told Ida a story, Skye suddenly walks in and Ida says: "You! It was you!'

When Jax returns to his hotel suite with special flowers for Brenda, he finds her gone. Brenda is on a plane, en route to Port Charles!
