Faith goes to Ric's hospital room to convince him to leave with her because Liz may be revealing his whereabouts to the PCPD. Dara Jensen walks in per Ric's request to litigate for his defense. Faith tells Ric that he doesn't need Dara or Liz and that all he needs is Faith. Ric tells her that he doesn't need her and demands that she leaves. Faith tells Ric that one day soon, Ric will need her and she will slam the door in his face and leaves. Dara tells Ric that he is going to need a miracle to win his case.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas and Lydia kiss, thinking that Stefan would walk in on them, instead Lucky walks in. Lydia tells Lucky that he should leave because the plan is for Nikolas and her to start acting like a married couple. Lucky thinks that Stefan would be suspicious of this idea and that they need to come up with a better plan. Lydia leaves the two brothers alone to talk it over and Nikolas asks Lucky if the problem is that he doesn't want Nikolas to sleep with Lydia. Lucky says that he doesn't care about Lydia and that all he wants is for her to testify against Stefan to save Luke. Lydia walks in just in time to hear Lucky tell Nikolas that Lydia is nothing more than a means to an end. They all agree that they understand one another and Lucky leaves. Lydia begins to kiss Nikolas, but Nikolas tells her that whatever is going on between her and Lucky, sleeping with Nikolas to get back at Lucky will only hurt her more.
At the hospital, Zander reads to Emily and gets up to leave when he sees that she is asleep. Emily's white blood cell count continues to drop and Monica hopes that Emily does not get an infection. She asks Zander to call Nikolas about the specialist that he brought in because Emily is not responding to the treatments. Monica gives Zander a piece of paper with Nikolas' number.
Ned stops by to visit Emily. Emily asks how Grandmother is doing. He tells her that she is a lot like her Grandmother, always thinking of other people. She is the best person that the Quartermaine Family has ever produced. Outside Emily's room, Skye tells Monica how sorry she is that Emily is going through this and asks Monica is she could go in and visit Emily. Monica tells her not to stay very long. Skye tries to converse with Emily. Emily asks her that since they are not very close, what is it that Skye wants? Skye tells Emily that if she could take back one thing that she has done, it would be that night that Skye gave Emily and Zander money to run away. Skye took a year of Emily's life and if there was anything that she could do to get it back, she would do it. Emily tells Skye that it's okay and that she let that go a long time ago, but there is something that Skye could do for Emily. She asks Skye to help her to get Nikolas' attention by looking like a beautiful woman. Emily wants Nikolas to just once notice her and not be able to take his eyes off of her.
Outside Emily's room, Monica reveals her frustrations to Ned and wishes she could take Emily's pain away from her. She cries on Ned's shoulder wishing that there was something else that she could do.
At the hospital, Lorenzo sits down next to Carly. She begs Lorenzo to not hurt Courtney and asks him what he wants. He asks Carly if she would like to trade herself for Courtney. Jason walks up to them and tells Lorenzo that no one is being traded. Sonny arrives and asks why is Lorenzo following Carly and demands Lorenzo to release Courtney. Lorenzo tells Sonny that he will trade Courtney for Carly. Sonny refuses and Lorenzo says that if Sonny doesn't agree to the trade, Courtney may never come home. Suddenly, Jason attacks Lorenzo. Sonny orders Jason off. He tells Lorenzo that killing him would be great, but Lorenzo says that killing him would be a mistake directing it as question towards Carly. Lorenzo then spots Ric. Lorenzo repeats his offer for Courtney's return and turns to leave, but not before he removes the tracking device that Sonny planted in the suitcase. Sonny tells Jason that if something happens to Lorenzo, they will not get Courtney back and tells him to take Carly home.
At the Penthouse, Carly pleads with Jason to leave Lorenzo for Sonny to deal with. She tells him that Lorenzo will not hurt Courtney, because he didn't hurt her and that it would be best if Jason didn't do anything since Jason and Courtney are so close to having everything they dreamed of. Jason opens the door to leave and Mac is there to get Carly's statement against Ric. As Jason leaves, Carly tells him to be careful.
Lorenzo bursts in to Ric's room with a gun and threatens to kill him for what he did to Carly. But Faith comes in and aims a gun at Lorenzo. Suddenly, Sonny comes into the room and disarms Faith and forces her out of the room. Sonny tells Lorenzo that they need to come to an agreement. Lorenzo asks Sonny if Ric is more important to him than Carly and asks why Ric is still alive after all that he did to Carly. Lorenzo puts the gun on Ric, but Sonny tells Lorenzo that he would be just like Louis if he killed Ric. Lorenzo removes the gun and walks away. Ric thanks Sonny for saving him. Sonny tells Ric that he had his reasons for saving Ric this time, but it won't happen again. Dr. Lewis arrives at Ric's room. Ric asks him to treat him.
Courtney jumps overboard as Lorenzo's goon shoots at her. Courtney is rescued from the ocean by fishermen and is taken to a hospital. As Courtney lays unconscious, she dreams of Jason holding their daughter, telling her happy he is and how important their daughter is to him.
Back on the yacht, Lorenzo questions his crew how Courtney escaped as Jason listens on. Courtney wakes up at the hospital. The nurse tells her that she had a miscarriage.
Zander goes to Coleman's bar for a few drinks and leaves Nikolas' number on the bar. Coleman picks it up and decides to call it to let him know that Zander was in pretty bad shape. Nikolas arrives. Zander tells him that Emily's condition has gotten worse. Nikolas begins to drink and Zander punches him.
In the meantime, Lydia goes to the hospital to visit Emily, but Lucky stops her in the hallways.
Mac needs to hear everything that Ric did to her. Sonny returns home and sits down with Carly as she gives her statement. Carly recalls the day Ric kidnapped her, as Sonny listens on.

Lucky warns Lydia to stay away from Emily. Lucky visits with Emily and Lydia follows. He tells Lydia to leave. Lydia refuses, gives Emily her sympathies and begs Emily to give her marriage to Nikolas a chance. Emily tells both Lucky and Lydia that this has nothing to do with Nikolas or Emily and everything to do with just the two of them.
At Jake's, Zander and Nikolas continue to fight, blaming each other for what each did with Emily. Afterwards, they drink and toast to Emily. Lucky and Lydia walk in to take them home.
Back at the hospital, Liz visits Emily and Liz talks about Ric, while Emily talks about Nikolas. Dara knocks on the door needing a moment with Liz. She tells Liz that Ric has asked to her to be his defense lawyer and she feels that his only chance is with Liz. Liz tells her that she doesn't think that she can testify.
Drunk and bruised, Nikolas and Zander walk into Emily's room, which makes Emily laugh. After they leave, Lucky stays behind and tells Emily that he found them at Jake's fighting over her. He tells her that she needs to choose.
Ric tells Dr. Lewis that he was not of sound mind when he kidnapped Carly and that his hate for Sonny bordered on obsession. Ric recalls the day the Liz had her miscarriage and seeing Sonny and Carly at the hospital with their baby on the way. Ric tells Dr. Lewis how he treated Carly well, kept her well nourished and gave her medical treatment. He planned on returning Carly, but blames Lorenzo for taking advantage of his obvious mental distress. Dr. Lewis does not believe that Ric was not temporarily insane and will not testify to that. Dr. Lewis heads for the door and Liz walks in. Ric asks her to tell the jury how happy they once were and how devastated he was when she miscarried. Liz agrees to tell the court that she was happy and that she believed everything Ric told her, but it was a lie. She tells him that the only thing she knows about Ric is that he is a great liar.
At the same time, Carly continues to give her statement to Mac of Ric's plans to kidnap her baby for Liz. Carly begins to see the effect of recalling the details is having on Sonny and asks Mac to postpone her statement for the morning. Sonny tells Carly that she needs to give her statement so that he and Mac can hear the details of what Ric did to her. Carly continues to recall Ric's plan and how he planned everything down to sizes of her maternity clothes. She recalled fighting with him every chance she got, but she feared for baby and how she tried to run out the door and that was when Ric chained her to the wall. She recalls the day Jason came to the house and how she threw a tray at the monitor to get his attention, knocking herself unconscious instead. She recalls the day Lorenzo was standing in the panic room with her. All the while, Sonny sits and listens uncomfortably.
After Mac leaves, Carly tells Sonny that she just wants the memory of Ric to fade away. Sonny tells her that it will not for him. She tells him that he needs to let it and to focus on their family. Carly falls asleep on the couch and Sonny whispers to her that Ric will never hurt her again. When Carly wakes up, she realizes that Sonny is gone.
In Ric's room, Sonny walks in with Max pointing a gun. He tells Ric that he will be leaving in a body bag. Sonny tells Ric how heard Carly tell how Ric tortured her and that he will pay for what he did to her. Carly bursts into the room and begs Sonny to release Ric. She tells Sonny to not kill Ric and how she needs him to be around for her and the family. Sonny releases Ric and leaves his room.
Lorenzo discovers Courtney's whereabouts and Jason overhears.
Courtney can't believe that she has had a miscarriage. She thinks that the nurse is working for Lorenzo. The nurses sedate Courtney to calm her down and inform her that her fiancé called and was on his way. Later, the nurse comes back into the room and announces that her fiancé was there to take her home and Lorenzo walks in. Courtney tells the nurse that Lorenzo is not her fiancé, but Lorenzo convinces the nurse that Courtney is bi-polar. Courtney begins to struggle and the nurse sedates her. Meanwhile, a noise outside the room catches Lorenzo's attention. He grabs a nurse and holds a gun to her head and walks out of the room to find Jason. They exchange gun- shots and Lorenzo leaves. Jason sees Courtney and carries her out. The nurse begins to tell Jason that Courtney lost the baby, but tells him how lucky she is to be alive. Courtney dreams of Jason telling her that the baby is gone. She wakes up and they are on a plane back to Port Charles. Jason tells her that everything is going to be all right.

When Mac arrives at Ric's Hospital room, Mac discovers that Ric is missing. When Faith shows up a few minutes later, Mac accuses Faith of helping Ric escape and threatens to throw Faith in jail if Mac ever discovers that Faith helped Ric escape. Meanwhile, a groggy Ric shows up at Elizabeth's studio and begs Liz to help him elude the Police, as well as Alcazar and Sonny! But Elizabeth coldly reminds Ric that their relationship is over! Meanwhile, Faith tells Mac that a LOT of people wanted Ric dead and maybe one of them just succeeded! At the same time, Ric begs Elizabeth to go away with him and get a fresh start somewhere else. Ric promises that he would finally get the help that he now realizes that he needs. When Mac suddenly arrives at Elizabeth's studio to ask questions about Ric, Elizabeth hides Ric in a storage room and tells Mac that, although Elizabeth does see Ric everywhere she turns, Liz is positive that Ric would surely realize that Elizabeth would NEVER cooperate in helping Ric escape the punishment Ric so richly deserves. After Mac leaves, Elizabeth warns Ric NOT to believe that Liz would do anything else to help Ric. Ric begs Elizabeth to let him stay with her for a couple of days, until he can figure out a way to avoid being killed by Sonny and Lorenzo. Elizabeth refuses to listen, even though Ric pleads with Elizabeth NOT to give up on him yet. When Elizabeth declares that she is calling the police, Ric leaves. But, before Ric leaves, he tells Elizabeth that he will always love her. After Ric leaves, Elizabeth calls her grandmother and makes an appoint to meet her grandmother later, at the Hospital. Later, Faith meets Ric in Ric's Hospital room with a lab coat, glasses and an ID badge to help Ric disguise himself as a doctor, so Ric can slip out of the Hospital. When Ric tells Faith that he will give Faith anything she wants for helping him, Faith insists that she does NOT believe Ric's promise! As Faith and Ric argue, Elizabeth goes past Ric's room and spots Ric donning his disguise. Elizabeth follows Ric and Faith as they head toward the elevator.
Dillon meets Georgie at the Hospital, and suggests they have an impromptu night out at Carly's closed club ~ The Cellar! Georgie tells Dillon that Mac has ordered Georgie and Maxie to go home as soon as they are finished with their candy-striping duties. Georgie finally agrees to Dilloon's plan, but Maxie overhears Dillon and Georgie making plans and follows them. When Dillon and Georgie begin dancing on the Cellar's dance floor, they are interrupted by the arrival of Maxie, Kyle and Zach! Meanwhile, aboard his jet, Alcazar orders his men to continue following Carly. When one of the men asks about Ric, Alcazar tells his men that Lansing is no longer a priority and that Alcazar plans to re-evaluate his plans. Lorenzo declares that he now wants MORE than access to Sonny's territory to move 'product' and makes plans to destroy Carly's club as the beginning of a plan to undermine Sonny. When Alcazar's men arrive at Carly's club to burn the place down, they discover Georgie, Maxie, Dillon, Kyle and Zach arguing with each other. As Alcazar's thugs hold the kids at gunpoint and begin spreading gasoline around, Dillon tries to convince the thugs that the police commissioner is on his way to the Club to pick them all up. But the thugs just laugh at Dillon's claims and insist that five toasted kids will just be more bad publicity for Corinthos. However, when Dillon tells the thugs that Dillon's boss is Alcazar, they perk up their ears. As Dillon tries to convince the thugs that Dillon is a close personal friend of Lorenzo, Alcazar himself shows up! Alcazar orders the thugs to leave, then orders all the kids to leave, except Dillon. Alcazar tells Dillon that he will either have to kill Dillon or actually put Dillon on the payroll if Dillon keeps on turning up at the wrong time in the middle of Alcazar's operations! After Alcazar leaves, Georgie returns and kisses Dillon for saving all of their lives.
When Sonny and Carly return to their Penthouse, Carly continues to try to convince Sonny to give up his belief that he needs to avenge himself on Ric and concentrate on the future they are planning ~ especially with the new baby. As Sonny argues that even Lorenzo believes that Sonny needs to kill Ric to get even with Ric, Carly tries to convince Sonny that Alcazar is just trying to goad Sonny into murdering Ric so that Sonny will end up with a life sentence in jail and Alcazar will be rid of BOTH Ric AND Sonny at the same time ~ and will have a free reign over Sonny's territories! Meanwhile, as Jason and Courtney head home on Sonny's jet, Jason is surprised when Courtney refuses to go to the Hospital for a checkup as soon as they land. When Courtney and Jason arrive home, they are greeted by a festive celebration provided by Sonny and Carly. But, when Carly asks how Jason took "the big news," Courtney tells Jason that "the big news" is that Courtney wants to go ahead and reschedule their wedding. Carly hints that she spoke to Mike, but, when Sonny brings out the champagne, Carly hustles Sonny away before more questions can be asked. However, after Sonny and Carly leave, Jason tells Courtney that he believes something is troubling her. Jason apologizes for leaving Courtney behind in Alcazar's clutches, but Jason assures Courtney that Jason was convinced that Alcazar had a vested interest in keeping Courtney alive. Jason is surprised when Courtney confides that her decision to fly to South America and then to jump overboard to get out of Lorenzo's clutches were probably all the wrong decisions to make. Later, Carly tries to keep Sonny from spotting a present that Carly got for Jason. At the same time, across the hall, when Courtney and Jason become passionate and begin to hit the sheets, Courtney suddenly pulls away and tells Jason that maybe she was more frazzled by her experience than she thought. Then Courtney falls asleep in Jason's arms.

Lydia meets with Lucky at GH but isn't too happy about being summoned by him. Lucky explains to her that the hospital is a good place to meet by using Emily as a cover for why they were there. Lydia complains about Stefan and Nikolas and asks him what he wants from her. Lucky tells her that he needs her to give him Stefan's email address. Later, Lydia arrives at Wyndemere and overhears Stefan on the phone. Stefan's back is facing her so he doesn't know she is listening in. He is quite rattled about something to do with Darius being alive and blackmailing him. She tells him she heard the last part of the conversation but doesn't appear nervous about it. He tells her she should be concerned by the fact that Darius is alive and could cause them both problems. She tells him that it is his problem not hers since she didn't know about the murder until after it happened. Stefan threatens to implicate her somehow in Summer's death and make sure she goes to prison if she doesn't cooperate with him and keep things quiet. She tells him that he can't have put in prison when he needs her to produce an heir for him. He points out that there is nothing in the will that says anything about incarceration being a problem and that they have such things as conjugal visits to help remedy the problem of her conceiving a child. He tells her to watch out and not to make an enemy of him. Lydia meets with Lucky on the docks and tells him about Darius being alive and how he is blackmailing Stefan over the internet. Lucky is pleased but not surprised by the news and tells her that his plan is working beautifully. Lydia gets upset with him for putting her life in jeopardy because of some plan against Stefan that is iffy at best. She points out to him after he mentions that Stefan just emailed "Darius" to set up a meeting with him on the docks later. She tells him that how can there be a meeting when Darius isn't really alive. He tells her he has a plan and tells her about it. She doesn't like the plan and tries to talk him out of it. She asks him how he plans to get Stefan on tape unknowingly admitting to Summer's murder. Lucky smiles with a twinkle in his eyes and looks right at her as if she is the answer.
Coleman shows up at Wyndemere to see Stefan. The housekeeper is reluctant to let him in and tells Stefan he has a visitor. Stefan lets him in. Coleman laughs at the decor of the house and makes comments about its interior decorator. Stefan tells him he called him over for business reasons not to make a social call. He tells Coleman that he needs him to get him a woman. Coleman isn't so sure he likes his proposition after Stefan explains that he needs someone who is legally of age but looks much younger. Coleman tries to leave when he doesn't like the sound of things. Stefan mentions the large amount of money he owes to some loan shark and it would be in his best interests to listen and help him. Coleman asks him how he found out about his debts. Stefan tells him he has enough connections left to find out such things about people. Coleman agrees to find him a woman and thinks he knows who fits the description of what Stefan is looking for. Stefan pays him half of what he owes the loan shark and agrees to give him the other half after he completes what is asked of him and that he will talk to the loan shark for him to allow him to get away with paying him the rest of the debt later. Coleman shows up later and Stefan isn't too pleased since anyone could have seen him enter the house and wonder what their meeting is about. Coleman tells him that the package he asked for will be arriving any moment now. Meanwhile, Ned finds Skye in the solarium trying to put together some type of toy for Kristina. Ned tries to help her and the two get into an intimate moment on the floor after Ned trips on a piece of the toy and falls on his back. Skye kisses him while he is laying there and Edward comes in to find them kissing there on the floor. He takes the vase with water and throws over their heads to cool them off. He scolds them for showing a vivid display when he could have walked in with Kristina at that moment. He warns Ned not to trust Skye since she is only using him to get Kristina and that she will drop him once she has her. The doorbell rings at that moment. Edward automatically calls for "Dobson" to answer the door. Skye points out what he just did. Edward tells her that even though "Dobson" turned out to be Alexis, he was the best butler they ever had in the family. Edward answers the door to find no one is there. Skye notices a diary laying on the ground and picks it up. She uses her hairpin to pick the lock and open up the diary. She starts reading exerpts from it and the man mentioned in it sounds a lot like Ned. Edward thinks the person who wrote it was talking about Ned's alter ego, "Eddie Maine" and hounds him about it. Ned asks her if she believes what she read in the diary was about him. Skye tells him it does sound a lot like him. Ned tells her that he hasn't been "Eddie Maine" for a few years and changes the subject. Skye suggests they go upstairs and see Kristina. Later, the doorbell rings again and Edward calls to Jennings to answer it. He ends up answering the door instead to find a pretty young woman there and she tells him she left something behind and wants it back.
Jason wakes up Courtney when he lays down next to her and watches her. He tells her that she had nightmares last night and was talking in her sleep a lot. She asks him what she called out. He tells her that she kept talking about a baby. Courtney tells him she doesn't remember dreaming last night and tries to change the subject. Jason tells her that she has been so concerned with Carly and the baby that she probably dreamed about that last night. He asks her if she is o.k. and if Alcazar hurt her. She tells him she was fine and tries to avoid the conversation by getting out of bed and planning to make pancakes for breakfast. Jason feels shut out. Meanwhile, Carly has a wrapped present for Courtney and Jason and intends to bring it over to them right now. Sonny tells her that they are probably still sleeping after what has been going on and they should wait until later to go over there. Carly tells him that Courtney is an early riser and opens the door to go over to Jason's. Alcazar is on the other end of the door. Sonny asks him what he wants. Sonny tells Carly to go over to Jason's right now and that he will take care of Alcazar alone. Alcazar asks for Carly to stay for this. Carly doesn't want to leave Sonny alone with him. Alcazar tells Sonny that he no longer has interest in using Sonny's property to deal his drugs and that he wants to call a truce. He apologizes to Carly for kidnapping her as well as Courtney and that he won't use them again to make any deals. Carly accepts his apology and heads over to Jason's across the hall. Sonny waits until she leaves the room and asks him what he really wants and that he doesn't believe he wants a truce. Alcazar tells him that he wants a truce and to do business someday. Carly shows up at Jason's and tells them that Alcazar was there. Jason tells them he wants to go over and find out what Alcazar wants. He tells Carly not to answer the door unless she knows who it is first. Courtney notices the present and guesses it is a baby gift. Carly tells her that she didn't tell anyone about the baby and goes on about the pregnancy and the gift. Courtney stops her and tells her that there is no baby. She tells her about what happened and how she miscarried and blames herself for it. Carly tries to comfort her but it doesn't work. Courtney berates herself for putting her baby in jeopardy like that and not trusting that Jason would eventually find her and bring her home. Carly tells her she would have done the same in that circumstance. Carly advises her to tell Jason right away about the baby and the miscarriage and promises that he will be angry at first but he will understand and be there for her. Courtney tells her she doesn't want Jason to know about any of it and makes her promise not to tell Jason about it. Carly promises not to tell Jason but tells her that she has to go see Dr. Meadows with her as soon as possible to make sure everything is alright with her and that she can still have babies later if she wants. Courtney calls Dr. Meadows and tells her about her miscarriage and asks to see her as soon as possible. Courtney goes to leave the penthouse and Michael comes running in to hug her and tells her that now that she is home and is safe she can get pregnant and have a baby so his baby brother can have a friend. Meanwhile, across the hall, Carly tells Sonny that she is going to see Dr. Meadows and is taking Courtney with her. Jason already confided in Sonny before that he thinks Courtney is keeping something from him and thinks Alcazar may have hurt her. Sonny suggests that if Alcazar raped her she may have not wanted to tell him, afraid that he would somehow look at her differently. Jason takes off to go find Alcazar to confront him. When Carly mentions that she is going to make sure that Dr. Meadows checks Courtney out, Sonny mentions that is a good idea considering what happened to her. Carly asks him what he meant by that. Sonny suggests that Alcazar may have raped her. Jason shows up at Alcazar's apartment with a baseball bat in his hand. Alcazar isn't surprised to see him there. Jason asks him what he did to Courtney.

Lydia realizes by the look on Lucky's face that he intends for her to tape Stefan admitting to what he did to Summer. She tells him that Stefan threatens her life all the time and that he doesn't trust her. She tells him that Stefan is not an idiot and will not fall for the scheme. Lucky argues that Stefan will say something to her since he knows that she hasn't told anyone about what she heard him do and that he will not be thinking about her telling on him now. Meanwhile, Stefan approaches Nikolas at GH as he is talking to Alan about Emily's condition. Stefan offers his sympathy for Emily and offers to help in any way he can for her. Alan thanks him and leaves. Nikolas learns from Alan that Emily's immune system is not bouncing back like they expected it to after her chemotherapy was stopped. Nikolas is surprised by Stefan's gesture of sympathy and asks him what brought that on. Stefan tells him that even though he never thought she was suited for him, he is sorry she is ill and doesn't wish her any harm. Nikolas tells him to stop following him around and checking up on him. Stefan tells him that he needs to let Zander and Emily's family worry about her and spend more time and attention to his wife. Zander comes to visit Emily with a hangover. He apologizes for his behavior with Nikolas the day before. Emily complains about having a severe headache. Zander tells her she should let the doctor know so he can give her something for it. Emily tells him she doesn't want them to run more tests on her right now and would rather suffer the headache right now instead. She starts to feel cold and Zander offers to turn the thermostat in the room up for her. Emily's doctor comes in to check on her and notices she is shivering. He asks Zander to step out of the room for a minute so he can examine her. Zander walks out of the room and runs into Monica. Monica asks him if Emily is o.k. right now and if she is running a fever. Zander doesn't know. Emily's doctor comes out of her room and tells Monica that he needs to run some tests on Emily immediately and that he is going to order a lumbar puncture. Monica agrees that is the best course and gives the o.k. Zander gets nervous and asks her what a lumbar puncture is. Monica explains that it is a spinal tap. Zander asks her if that is serious. Monica tells him it isn't good news. She calls Jason and tells him that Emily is getting worse and that she wants to see him immediately. Emily is moved to I.C.U. Zander comes over to Alan and Nikolas later and tells them that Emily has been moved to I.C.U. and that they are going to perform a spinal tap on her. Alan tells them that if she ends up having bacterial meningitis, she could die. Monica shows up later to tell the family and everyone that Emily does have meningitis and has been put on antibiotics. Zander goes to see her again. Alan and Monica are there to see her first and try to act upbeat and encouraging for Emily. They leave Zander with her. Zander starts blaming himself for taking her out to places and exposing her to all these viruses and infections. Emily tells him it wasn't his fault since she wanted to go to the carnival and that this infection was hibernating in her system already probably and that her immune system is too weak to fight it off. Jason shows up to see her. She asks Zander to leave them alone to talk. Jason starts to get choked up when he sees her. Emily tells him that she needs to know how to die and that she wants to make this better for those she loves and is scared. Jason asks her if she thinks she is dying. She tells him she does. He tells her that she needs to use this time as if it is a gift to her and to tell everyone she loves what she needs to tell them before she dies and not to leave things unsaid. Jason leaves and goes to see the family. He tells them that Emily didn't discuss with him how she is feeling physically but asked to talk to Nikolas right now. Zander wonders what she has to say to Nikolas that is so important and follows him and watches them from outside I.C.U. Emily has a hard time telling him how she feels and is having a hard time breathing. She is about to tell him how she feels when she starts going into a seizure. Nikolas calls out to Zander to get some help and watches her helplessly. Lydia decides to go through with Lucky's plan after watching Lucky and Nikolas worry about Emily. She sees Stefan waiting for her at the nurses' station and turns her tape recorder on and puts it in her purse. Stefan asks her why she needed to meet with him at the hospital when they live under the same roof. She reminds him that he told her they can't discuss things under that same roof. She tells him that Darius contacted her also and is blackmailing her for money and threatened to tell the police everything if she didn't pay him what he wanted.
Skye shows up at GH to see Emily but Edward tells her not to bother visiting her and that he will give Emily her gift. Skye tells him she will wait. Edward accuses her of using Ned to get her hands on Kristina and warns her that she may think Ned is smitten with just her but that he has his eyes on other women instead and brings up the diary they found outside the door. Skye doesn't believe him but he puts doubts in her mind when he mentions that he has proof that another girl exists. Ned overhears Edward gloating to Skye and interrupts them. He tells Edward that the diary doesn't have to do with him. Edward tells him that he didn't imagine that he saw the young girl who couldn't be more than 15 years old coming over to retrieve the diary and that the other staff saw her too. Ned can't explain that but tells them that it doesn't mean he did anything with her. Ned asks Skye later if she believes Edward over him.
Skye tells him that she would never believe Edward over him. She asks Ned to bring her gift to Emily for her since she is going out of town to see Rae, who called her and she feels she should try to be a better daughter to her mother than she has been. Ned agrees to give it to Emily and tells her he and Kristina are going to miss her while she is away. After he leaves, Skye calls a private investigator she has hired before and asks him to do a background check on "Eddie Maine."
Courtney talks to Michael about babies. She tries to explain to him that babies don't come right away just because you want them. He asks her if she plans to ever have a baby. Courtney tells him some day she would like to have a baby but not right now. Michael tells her he will talk to Jason about having a baby when she tells him that both of them need to want to have a baby first. Meanwhile, Jason asks Alcazar if he raped Courtney. Alcazar tells him he is not a rapist even if he is a killer. Jason is about to ask him more when Alcazar tells him that what happened to Courtney is her own fault when she decided to jump in the cold water and escape. Dillon comes in and interrupts them. He asks if he interrupted a hit in progress. Jason tells him to come in and shut up. Alcazar thanks him for interrupting and possibly stopping Jason from killing him. He asks him what he wants. Dillon tells him he came over to thank him for the other night and saving his life. Alcazar tells him he is welcome and asks Jason if he is planning on killing his cousin as well as him. Jason tries to continue asking him about what he did to Courtney but Alcazar tells him that he needs to ask his fiancée and she will clear things up with him herself. Jason tells Dillon to leave with him. He tells Dillon that he is on his own now and that he has warned him for the last time to stay away from Alcazar because he is dangerous and he will get himself killed. Dillon asks him what Alcazar did to make him want to kill him. Jason tells him that he broke something. Meanwhile, Carly tells Sonny that Alcazar did not rape Courtney and why he thinks he did. Sonny tells her that Jason feels that Courtney is hiding something from him and that she hasn't been herself since she returned home as if something inside of her went out like a light. Carly tells him that Alcazar did not rape Courtney and that he needs to leave Alcazar alone and that what is wrong with Courtney has nothing directly to do with Alcazar. Sonny realizes that Carly knows something and asks her how she knows that Alcazar didn't rape her. Carly pleads with him not to ask her to give up a confidence she has with Courtney. Sonny goes across the hall to talk to Courtney. He tries to get her to tell him what is wrong and asks her point-blank if Alcazar raped her. She tells him he didn't and tries to explain that her body hasn't recovered from the bad swim she had to take when she escaped the yacht. Sonny doesn't push but tells her to tell Jason soon what is really bothering her. Carly gets a call from Alcazar, who wants to meet with Sonny on the docks. She confronts him over the phone about what his real agenda is and that he doesn't really want her, he just wants to torment Sonny some more. Jason comes in and overhears her talking on the phone and hanging up. He asks her about the call. Carly explains that Alcazar is just playing more games with Sonny to make him jealous by making Sonny think he wants her for himself now. Jason tells her she needs to tell Sonny about the call and not keep it to herself. She tells him that she doesn't want Sonny getting hurt and starting a fight again with him. Sonny had already gotten a call telling him that Jason didn't end up killing Alcazar because of an interruption. Carly tells Jason that Alcazar didn't rape Courtney. Jason can't believe she is defending Alcazar after what he did to her and Courtney. Carly tells him that Courtney needs his love and his patience right now but won't tell him what happened to her. Jason gets the call from Monica to go see Emily. Carly tells Courtney and Sonny about the call from Alcazar and the call Jason got about Emily being in I.C.U. Sonny leaves to go call Alcazar to find out what he wants. Alcazar asks him to meet him on the docks later. Sonny agrees to it. Carly asks Courtney if she told Sonny about her miscarriage. Courtney tells her he doesn't know anything and that she wants it to stay that way. Carly tries to persuade her into telling Jason everything. Courtney fears that she will lose Jason as well as the baby she just lost if she tells him. She tells her she is going to see Dr. Meadows and get examined and then go see how Jason is doing with Emily afterwards. Courtney gets examined by Dr. Meadows, who informs her that she will give her a week to heal first before having more tests done on her. Dr. Meadows leaves the room after telling her she can get dressed now. She tells the nurse to have the test done immediately and put a rush on it and that she believes Courtney has a problem. Courtney finds Jason in the waiting area and he is surprised to see her. She tells him she decided to get checked out by a doctor as a precaution and that everything is fine with her. Jason tells her Emily is getting worse and has meningitis and could die. Courtney tells him that maybe something good could come out of this and people will realize how precious life is and change their lives. Jason is confused about what she is getting at. Courtney tells him that they should go ahead and have a baby. Carly tells Sonny that she and Michael are going to Kelly's to get an ice cream cone and asks him to be careful when meeting with Alcazar. Michael catches them kissing and says "yuck" and asks them to stop. Carly takes his hand and leaves the penthouse. Later, Carly and Michael are leaving Kelly's and walk on the docks. Alcazar spots them and watches from afar. Michael points to Alcazar's yacht and is awed by its size and grabs Carly's hand and drags her closer to the stairs to get a better look. Max is behind her but Michael rushes down the stairs. Alcazar tells her that it must be fate that they meet up like this. Carly almost stumbles on the stairs when Michael pulls on her hand to get her to go faster. Alcazar holds her to stop her from falling. Carly tells him she is fine and can go down the stairs by herself. He tells her he doesn't want to let her go. Sonny watches them from afar and wonders what Alcazar is up to.
