Jonathan Stevens Jackson
Port Charles Presence
At A Glance
According to three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Jonathan Jackson, "The role of Lucky is a rare opportunity. Being a Spencer in Port Charles, you can't help but be a part of the ongoing action." Jonathan asserts, "Lucky has, because of his parents and his lifestyle, developed a strength of character that challenges an actor's skills."

Jonathan joined General Hospital in October 1993. In 1995, 1998, and 1999, Jonathan received an Emmy Award as Outstanding Younger Actor. He was also nominated in 1996, 1997, and 2000. In 1995, he also received a Soap Opera Digest Award as Outstanding Child Actor, as well as the Hollywood Reporter Young Star Award in both 1995 and 1997. Jonathan's talent and work ethic have earned him respect and acclaim from all who have worked with him. People magazine definitively summed up Jonathan by stating, "Jonathan Jackson can legitimately lay claim to the throne of James Dean."

A resident of Washington, Jonathan began giving serious consideration to an acting career following a visit to Universal Studios Hollywood in 1991. His older brother, Richard, made the first move to Los Angeles in pursuit of a performing career, and Jonathan and his mother soon followed. Jonathan had a few commercials under his belt before he was chosen from several hundred young hopefuls for the enviable role of Lucky Spencer. Jonathan made his feature film debut, starring in the 1994 summer comedy, Camp Nowhere. He starred opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in the 1998 Sony Columbia theatrical release, The Deep End of the Ocean. He has also starred in the ABC television movie, Legend of the Ruby Silver, as well as opposite his brother, Richard, in the original Showtime film, The Prisoner of Zenda, Inc.

Although acting is his favorite activity, Jonathan is an active athlete, participating in a wide variety of sports including basketball, baseball, in-line skating, fencing, and billiards. In addition, he enjoys playing his guitar and writing music and scripts.

Jonathan splits his time between Los Angeles and Washington with his wife, Lisa Jackson (ex-Hannah Scott) and their two children. He is also the frontman for the band Enation with his brother, actor Richard Lee. Together they’ve released several albums and garnered a Top 10 single on the iTunes Rock Charts.
