Brief Character History

Dr. David Bensch worked at General Hospital. In July 2017, Sam Morgan decided to play matchmaker between her mother, Alexis Davis, and Dr. Bensch. Sam had hoped that sparks would fly between the two and that David would help her mother forget all about Julian Jerome. David and Alexis agreed to go on a date because there was a mutual attraction, but they decided that their first date would just be as friends because they didn't want the pressure.

David also took Kiki Jerome under his wing at the hospital because he'd been impressed with her work ethic and her bedside manner. He offered to put Kiki on a fast track through medical school, but he warned her that it would be difficult. Stunned and flattered by David's faith in her, Kiki took him up on his generous offer.

David's relationship with Alexis didn't progress beyond a kiss and a few casual dates because Alexis' heart belonged to Julian, but Alexis and David remained friends.
