Zachary told Michelle they couldn't be together because he was on a spiritual journey. Rick and Abby were disturbed by their visit to her parents in Goshen. Phillip decided to stay in town to see his father's recovery. Rick came up with a way to explain the twins' differences to Ross.

    25TH      THROUGH        29TH    

Sarah died after telling Reva she wanted her to find the illegitimate child that she had in secret. Annie had herself artificially inseminated. Vanessa gave Zachary a letter telling Nola to find someone for Matt. Phillip found out that Rick was the father of one of the twins and decided to tell Ross.

    DECEMBER      1996    

    2ND      THROUGH        6TH    

Phillip couldn't bring himself to tell Ross, and then was visited by Lizzie. Meta recognized Zachary. Alan was upset to learn that Amanda had appointed Roger as a vice president of Advantage Systems. Reva vowed that she would find her lost sibling and refused to believe that she and Josh could be together.

    9TH      THROUGH        13TH    

Josh and Reva admitted their feelings to each other at Cross Creek while Annie found out that she wasn't pregnant. Alex, Phillip, and Alan-Michael used Roger to help Alan get back on his feet, but was he using them? Matt resisted Nola's attempts to fix him up. Dinah was insecure about her relationship with Hart who rushed to stop Bridget from getting plastic surgery.

    16TH      THROUGH        20TH    

Hart and Dinah went on a romantic trip to Switzerland, but her Jean Luc and her European friends interrupted their plans. Josh and Reva rediscover their feelings for each other at Cross Creek, but Annie's deceptive announcement that she was pregnant put their reunion on hold. Phillip held an early Christmas for Lizzie. Alan returned home to combat Amanda and Roger's plans for Spaulding.

    23RD      THROUGH        27TH    

Jenna returned with little Harry Cooper Bradshaw in tow. Billy held a party for family and friends at Christmas. Nick and Susan tried to convince Alex to distance herself from Alan who was so intent on stopping Amanda and Roger that he had Amanda imprisoned on Christmas Eve. Reva and Josh tried to fight their feelings for each other.

    30TH      THROUGH        JANUARY        3RD      1997    

Dylan returned to try to work things out with Bridget who told him that she wanted to move on with her life with Hart. Amanda and Roger set Dinah up to disappoint Hart and Peter, and Roger and Amanda announce their engagement. Jenna visited Springfield and befriended Matt. Zach and Michelle let the goose go.
