It is much harder to not be a cheerleader of sorts after meeting the cast and crew. They are such hard working people, and really seem to enjoy what they do.
Richard Biggs
May 31, 2004
When someone dies at a young age, you pause for a moment to think of the person who has died. You remember the little things about them that you can recall.
Bradley Cole
June 7, 2004
Imagine a CSI: Springfield; Frank and Jeffrey take Lizzie and the gang to the docks to investigate the explosion that supposedly killed Eden August. They collect evidence, photograph the crime scene, and try to piece together the evidence.
Jerry ver Dorn

Ross is a very busy dad these days. His three youngest children are all still at home, and oldest daughter/fugitive Dinah will return home soon.
Nancy St. Alban
June 21, 2004
Bill, Danny, and Rick aren't exactly bosom buddies, but they all love Michelle, and they will probably all try to help her emerge from her coma.
Beth Ehlers
June 28, 2004
While Gus and Harley are preparing to marry, Gus is holding back a pretty good secret. What will happen to their relationship when Harley learns that he is protecting Alex?
Guiding Light
July 5, 2004
Last week, with literally no fanfare, Guiding Light celebrated its anniversary, but you probably didn't know that, since CBS didn't bother to publicize it at all.
Kim Zimmer
July 12, 2004
This past week, Sandy Foster was freaking out about getting arrested. Why? Because he is not Jonathan, Reva and Richard's son. How can a psychic not know when she's being conned by someone pretending to be her own child?
Bradley Cole
July 19, 2004
Last week, we learned that Jeffrey, who is supposed to be upholding the law, has been playing fast and loose with the law as well. It might be great fun to impersonate a prince, but not when you are supposed to be a government agent.
Ricky Paull Goldin
July 26, 2004
The Spaulding/Cooper wedding looks to be a pretty stressful event. As we saw last week, the two families couldn't get through a simple meal together without wanting to come to blows.
Beth Chamberlin
August 2, 2004
There was not a new column this week, so instead, please take a look back at what was happening in Springfield during the week of May 24, 2004.

Harley was expecting to be on a honeymoon by now, but her nasty ex-husband has ruined her summer. Despite her heartache at the hands of yet another Spaulding, it is good to see the Coopers rally around one another.
Gina Tognoni
August 23, 2004
Dinah's return has not been living up to expectations. How much farther can this story go? As it stands, the Springfield jail will soon hold all of her relatives who have given aid to her.
Ricky Paull Goldin
August 30, 2004
Poor Gus! Although he's not totally off the hook for his part in the wedding fiasco, it was Phillip's double-breasted suit that should have been pelted with eggs and tomatoes last week.
Guiding Light
September 6, 2004
Last week, the shocking news broke that Grant Aleksander had been fired, after nearly twenty years of periodic service on the show.
Guiding Light
September 13, 2004
How about having Phillip leave Springfield for a while? It's obvious that he'll either be part of a murder mystery plot, or he'll disappear. Let's hope that he's not killed off, because that would be a mistake.
Kim Zimmer
September 20, 2004
Since we all know that Sandy isn't really Jonathan, why is it that psychic mom Reva still doesn't know? His aunt Olivia has even recognized Sandy as Jonathan and had conversations with him; wouldn't she know what he looked like?
Gina Tognoni
September 27, 2004
Like her cousin, Dinah has gone too far. It will be interesting to see how they write Dinah into Springfield life now that Cassie has dropped the charges against her.
Crystal Hunt
October 4, 2004
The completely self-centered Lizzie sides with her father on everything. He's the one person who never tells her when she's done wrong, and who does completely unethical things to get his princess what she wants.
Gina Tognoni
October 11, 2004
Dinah was raised in a circus and didn't know her parents until she was an adult. As a result, she has issues with abandonment and feelings of unworthiness. Dr. Phil would have a field day with her!
Tom Pelphrey
October 18, 2004
Jonathan has been a surly brat worthy of Lizzie's attentions since he arrived in town. He's rude, arrogant, and a real threat to the family he claims to want to belong to. Sure, he's hurt, but his technique stinks.
Kim Zimmer
October 25, 2004
It seems that soap characters have really short memories. That's the only way that Reva, Cassie, or Tammy will ever be able to forgive Jonathan for what he did last week. It's not like he put a frog in a girl's lunch box.
Jordan Clarke
November 1, 2004
Billy is being blackmailed for his misguided attempts to protect Bill, and Phillip is doing everything that he can to protect Lizzie. It would be a great twist of irony if Billy killed Phillip.
Beth Ehlers
November 8, 2004
Now that Phillip is set to be gunned down in Company, we are left wondering...who in the world is going to actually do the deed?
Michael O'Leary
November 15, 2004
When the show developed the Four Musketeers storyline in 1982, the storyline helped to shape the long-term friendship of Phillip and Rick, and it's still a favorite among fans of the show.
Ron Raines
November 22, 2004
Last week, the flashback scenes with Phillip and Harley were awesome. Alan's grief was spoken in volumes with just an expression. All of the scenes with the three remaining Musketeers were a trip down memory lane.
Ricky Paull Goldin
November 29, 2004
We knew that the pall of Phillip's murder would cast a long shadow on the town, but each day, the story continues to grow. His decline into madness, which ultimately resulted in his death, affected most of Springfield in one way or another.
Tom Pelphrey
December 6, 2004
The Lewis clan will have their hands full this season. With Cassie and Edmund's impending nuptials, and the whole Jonathan/Tammy story, will Reva be able to have a happy holiday?
Beth Ehlers
December 13, 2004
It's coming down to the wire to name Phillip's killer, and Harley is doing everything that she can to find the killer and protect her family. She probably hasn't even had time for holiday shopping!
Ricky Paull Goldin
December 20, 2004
Gus is walking a fine line between two families; the one that shares his genes, and the one that holds his heart. Gus and Harley will probably find their way back together in 2005; surely, the writers will give us a little romance to look forward to!
Guiding Light
December 27, 2004
Last week's episodes really showcased all of the things that make Guiding Light great, as families reunited to celebrate the holidays. The show has had such a rich history of memorable families, and last week, that fact really stood out.
